Please sticky FAQ and enforce. - Touch HD Android Development

Please can mods sticky the FAQ thread and enforce that questions should be asked in there otherwise this thread is juts gunna start getting flooded like the WM section.
It would be nice to have some sort of organization to sections instead of everything just getting chucked in same place.

ATTENTION: [Q]uestions Posted HERE Will Be DELETED!

As the title states, all questions posted in this section will be deleted without notice. Development is not tech support, and it is certainly not Q&A. We have a dedicated Q&A forum specifically for those needs. This issue has become such a problem here that it occasionally becomes hard to find actual development work in this sub-forum. Additionally, more than two thirds of my reported posts are questions erroneously posted in this section.
Repeat offenders will be given infractions and/or time off from the XDA community.
My goal with this is not to be a jerk, but rather to keep the boards clean.

[25/7/11] Updated Rules Of The Development Section **Please Read, Then Read Again**

I'll get straight to the point....
Despite stickys and forum announcements most of us are still finding ourselves becoming terribly, terribly vexed at the amount of [Q]'s cluttering the dev section...
Therefore, from now on, if you do not follow the rules outlined below, you will be infracted. Break them again and you may find yourself unable to post anything at all on any forum!!
[Q]Surely thats a bit harsh aint it??
[A]Not really....
We've tried to be nice about it but that clearly doesnt work.
If you cannot read and abide by the simple rules in this sticky then I dont know how you're going to manage to hack your device without running into trouble.
The Dev section is NOT for asking questions.....
The Dev section is NOT for general topics..........
All threads posted MUST be prefixed with a description of the thread, [ROM] / [Kernel] etc etc.....*
*(Not planning on being particuarly strict on this. You guys (the devs), know how to title a thread.... just a pointer for new devs.)
Basically, unless your thread is to actually release something or discuss something of a very technical and n00b unfriendly nature, it doesnt belong here!
Pretty simple really.....
If you see something that shouldnt be here then PM me....
I will try to check in as reguarly as I can but I have a few sections to keep an eye on and believe it or not, a life outside XDA
Yes thats right, there is life outside XDA

[Q] Development posting

Why is the forum setup where you need 10 posts to be able to post in a development thread? Just because someone may not be actively posting on the site doesn't mean that they don't have a clue what is going on when it comes to development. (Obviously I'm using this for one of my posts because this deal is really dumb)
For an explanation, please see the link in my sig "Postcount limit in Dev fora" or 1 of the many other threads in this section explaining it.

Welcome to the Samsung Galaxy W Forums!

Hi Folks!
My name's Justin, and I'm your Forum Mod for the Galaxy W. It's a pleasure to be here, and I'm happy to assist you in getting the most from this Forum.
Just a few things to keep in mind:
Please have a quick look at the Forum Rules whenever you get a chance.
Please treat other members how you would like to be treated and please post in the correct sections.
For the Development team to thrive, the development section needs to stay clean and tidy. Please make sure you post in the correct sections, and give us the heads-up if you see anything out-of-place, abusive, condoning warez etc.
Only ROM Development, Hacks, Mods, Fixes, Reference, and Tutorials go in the Dev Section
All Questions and Requests should go in the General Section.
Please no 'for sale' threads in any section. Use the Marketplace.
Also, if you see any thread that is in the wrong section or if you see any questionable posts/content, please don't hesitate to click the report (!) button.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions, comments, or issues pertaining to this forum.
Thanks in advance for your help and most importantly, have fun!
