[Q] Screen Mirroring Problem - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

OK, So I have Nexus 7 2 and I am just loving it. I just bought Samsung Smart TV, and, of course, loving it too :silly:. I actually wanna screen mirror b/w my nexus 7 running Android (of course :3) 4.3.3. When I go to Setting -> Display -> Cast Screen, My TV DOES APPEARS their. Whenever, I connect it ofcourse wont. Yes, I did go to Developer Options and, over there selected Certificate something. And again in Display, I selected "Enable autonomous GO". Whenever my TV says Connecting To Android XXXX, and the cast icon appears on my Nexus 7 notification bar, MY TV JUST SWITCHES TO TV (NORMAL MODE).
Don't tell me it isn't possible, as this person did here, using nexus 7 and Samsung TV

Miracast no longer working

Hello, Ive been using miracast / screen mirroring on my Sony Bravia TV for a while. Recently I converted my HTC One M8 into the google play edition. Since then I am not able to using screen mirroring. I can find my TV on the list under display settings - Cast Screen but it wont work. It says connecting then the screen flashes and it displays my TV name again as if I didnt press it. Help?

T520 and Roku Screen Mirroring

Roku just released a brand new feature that allows screen mirroring. It's working fine with our unrooted S5, but I can't get it to work with my 10.1. I don't know if it's because my 10.1 is rooted, or if there are bugs on Roku's end as it's still in Beta. Just wondered if anyone else had tried this feature and was successful at mirroring their tablet.
Can you give more details? You are trying to mirroring to another android device, PC or TV? If it's TV I can't help you because my TV don't support mirroring and I don't have chromocast or similar.
Details: on the Roku/TV I go to settings>screen mirroring >enable. On my tablet I go to settings and enable screen mirroring. My Roku is listed. I select the roku. On the TV screen it goes to another screen for just a second, then goes back to the enable screen. Then my tablet switches off screen mirroring automatically. As I said in my OP, I am able to connect my S5 using these steps.

[Q] Screen mirroring - how to use without going to "enable display mirroring?

Maybe I'm just spoiled by having used a Chromecast before, but is there a way to make the Fire TV always be "listening" for a device that is trying to cast to it?
It works fine from my Oneplus One, but it is a bit annoying that I have to navigate to Settings -> Display and Sounds -> Enable Display Mirroring any time I want to cast anything.

Samsung Smart View - Can I turn off phone display while mirroring?

I've been searching for a couple days now and haven't found any answers. What I am trying to say is with the s7 active there is already the option for "smart view" in the pull down menu. That allows me to mirror my phone directly to my Samsung smart tv via wifi with a push of 1 button. I see no option to have my phone screen off while still mirroring is my problem. I basically want to mirror to my TV while watching a movie from my phone, but have my phone screen off, there is no reason to have both displays on for 2 hours. Does this option exist or is there a fix to accomplish this power saving feat? Thanks for reading. Have a good day. :fingers-crossed:

Screen Mirroring problem

Hi guys, why I can't see the button top right to enable wireless display?
Noticed that as well when swiping down and not finding the wifi or bt icons to enable them. I also noticed that when i plugged the phone on t o charge the charging icon in the battery displayed that it was charging. Then when i went to pull down the USB connecting options drop down menu it wasnt there. Then once it did appear it was on the last option i used "transfering pics" instead of defaulting to "charging" like every other phone ive ever owned.
How can I fix it?
Wireless display is not officially supported by Google, so you won't find it in our phone. The only option is Google Cast (to Chromecast).
