Splash screen - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I own a 16gb/2gbram UK device that I bought on ebay. My device is unlocked to any network out of the box but is a 3UK device and has a 3UK splash screen. Whatever generic kdz I install, my 3UK splashscreen remains.
On other devices I have owned, if I flash a generic rom I end up with a generic splash screen. My question is, if I root my device and change the splash screen to a generic one then return to stock using a generic kdz, would my generic splash screen remain?
EDIT Solved. Information required is in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/themes-apps/bootanimation-android-5-0-l-boot-t2814467

the link takes me to boot animations. the splash screen (on my d851) is just a white screen that says lg. the boot animation comes after it. replacing boot animations isnt super difficult, though some devices will have funny locations and multiple animations to figure out. when I had my old t-mo g2 (htc vision, NOT lg g2) i changed both the splash screen and boot animation, but since have not found a way to modify splash screens.
EDIT: just realized this post is a year old. oh, the shame.

Aha, I had this same issue, real annoying, am I right?
Anyway, flash the stock firmware that associates to your device. It removed the splash screen for me, but I meant all my data was reset, to absolute factory. It was certainly a lot of work seeing as the amount of bloatware it installs is insane, but you should give it a go.

EDIT: I just realised along with you that this was a year old post... Still hope it helps someone out, though.

Don't forget to smash that thanks button if I, or someone else helps you, guys!

imate kjam won't boot past splash

Hi,
First, I ran some tests on my kjam. The kjam came default with the kjam rom on it, naturally. I wanted to CID unlock this phone, so I downgraded the rom to button's "beer glass" splash screen rom. Then I was able to run aWizard successfully to CID unlock the phone. I then upgraded back to the original kjam rom. Both the downgrade and the upgrade went smoothly.
I then found out I wanted to customize my splash, so I downgraded again. I customized the main splash (not the HTC one) using aWizard. Worked like a charm. I also ran some extra itsme tools to read and write from rom in some locations I needed access to.
Everything was working great at that point. But the downgrade ROM didn't properly respond to some of the printed keys on the kjam keyboard, so I thought I should upgrade again. However, this time, I decided I want to keep my splash etc., so I tried to upgrade only my radio and OS rom, as backed up by aWizard previously from the original kjam ROM. I used aWizard to restore the selected areas of ROM, rather than the RUU tool.
I upgraded the radio ROM, didn't reboot the device to keep the radio and OS in sync, upgraded the OS ROM, just as that was happening, the phone received a phone call (or text message, do not know which), and hung. While the aWizard eventually completed the upgrade, the phone did not reboot or "un-hang" itself after aWizard displayed success (there was no error on the console window).
So I soft rebooted the phone. The splash screen came, but without a GSM version on it. I was like, "shoot!", something bad must have happened, lets just put the full kjam rom on this, and get it over with - never mind the custom splashes. So I went into bootloader and applied the kjam rom.
Now it displayed the GSM version as well on the splash screen, but again, it never left the splash screen. I was like, again, "shoot!", lets just go back to that old downgrade ROM with the funny keyboard, then we can figure this out again. So I went into the bootloader and applied the downgrade ROM.
Alas, the beer glass splash screen remained hung as well! And actually, since then, I've downloaded and installed ALL ROMs I've been able to find - ALL of them have hung.
My bootloader is still working fine and dandy...any idea why this might be happening? Was the problem in the phone call I received? In using aWizard without rebooting? In using aWizard at all? In trying to manually edit the machine ROM using itsme tools (mind you, those edits worked fine until I started updating the GSM/OS ROM)?
And oh, after hanging for a while on the splash screen, the phone screen starts flickering real bad (whilst still on the splash); in case that provides any help.
To clarify the bootloader situation a little more:
I've got FULL bootloader capability. I can mtty into it, I can write commands, I can install full new ROMs from the bootloader, etc. So this would seem to indicate my phone may not be a brick yet...its a brick that can display changeable wallpapers I even figured out how to draw progress bars and write text to the bootloader screen using MTTY commands. Fun, actually! Its a $700 etch-a-sketch pad

Can any of you facing same problem post the reason(s) you believe to be responsible for the situation?
I think that in my case (yes, it happened to me too) was the fact that i flashed only OS chunk ending up with IPL/SPL 1.xxx and OS 2.xxx and i didn't use any RUU; instead i used an itsme program (podcread.exe)
cheers

How to get rid of the branding

I have a Question ,I flashed duttys rom with no problem and all is fine, but was just wondering how to change the first boot screen with this ugly looking T-Mobile screen , I thought when you flash a rom that this First boot screen is changed also,Would be grateful to have the original HTC boot screen instead of this T-Mobile screen,,
Love this forum ,best PDA forum on the net!!!!
Have posted the Zip file containing the HTC splash.
You need an active sync connection running and then open the RUU.
Select update ROM and it will then write a new splash screen but won't alter your O/S Rom.
It takes less than 2 mins. Oh, make sure your battery is more than 50%.

help needed. original splash screen

so im having some hardware problems with my phone so i need to take it in to sprint. but heres my deal, few months i downloaded some crappy rom (called krystal v5) that i ended up hating and only kept it for a day, now im using nfsfans 6.5 rom and i like that. the problem is when i downloaded that "krystal" rom it put a "krystal" splash on my phone when it starts. after numerous rom flashes that krystal splash still shows on start up.
now my plan was to reload the stock rom to get it serviced but i dont think that this will get rid of that splash. can someone help me get the original one back? its the very first splash screen.
stock bootsplash for vogue
here is the one for Cellular South Phones, it is just the HTC logo. Not sure if Sprint uses something special. Load it then load the stock sprint rom.

nfsfan's roms don't replace splash screens, that's why after multiple flashing with it, the bootscreen still there.
when you flash with stock rom, the original splash screens will be back

Desire Flashed to Rooted Froyo Stock O2 Splash Remains

Hi All,
I am new to this forum, I just rooted my Desire (Unlocked but O2 branded with splash screens) so that I could go ahead and put FroYo on. I flashed the latest radio version and a pre-rooted version of FroYo stock from these forums. Everything went fine and I restored my backups from Titanium backup, just one thing confuses me ...
Before I used to have the O2 splash screen (static), followed by a HTC logo, then more O2 bubble (animated) ... now I have the static O2 screen, then HTC logo which animates some writing, then the phone boots.
I was under the impression that flashing a ROM would remove all O2 stuff, how come that static screen remains, and can I remove it?

Change Splash Screen (Boot Logo, not Boot Animation)

So I recently unlocked my bootloader and have been having tons of fun installing custom ROMs, recoveries, and doing other fun stuff. Currently, I have a dual-boot situation with hsbadr's CM13 port and Dr. Ketan's ROM. I've changed the boot animation on CM to the default Marshmallow animation, and I'm enjoying it immensely.
The only problem I have with my phone at the moment is the splash screen: the image that shows up before the boot animation, saying something like "GALAXY NOTE 4 -- powered by Android." It's also got the "Custom" overlay on it. I absolutely hate this screen. It's ugly and I kind of want something of my own in its place.
I've researched on how to change the splash screen, learning that it's called the splash screen and not a bootlogo, but I can't seem to find any guides that work for me. There are some very old guides, with non-existent files, and there's a new guide for the Note 4 here, but it doesn't work. The 0p8 file isn't a tarball, and the 0p12 file recommended later in the thread is empty when extracted.
Is there a way to change that screen on the 910V? If so, how? I can't seem to find anything, but it's probably right in front of my face.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this.
