Trying to figure out if and why I having trouble making my G4 able to read Mifare Classic cards ...
My G3 have no problem reading them. And if I look in the G3 I find "/vendor/firmware/libpn547_fw.so".
If I compare that file with "/vendor/firmware/libpn547_fw.so" in the G4 ... Identical files!
Both running LineageOS 14.1 ...
app "NFC Checker" says G4 not Mifare Classic compatible.
I checked with Stock 29A and there it says my G4 IS compatible with Mifare Classic ... Weird.

Hi all, I get my new G3 from China and now I m living in R.O.Korea.
So, I cannot use many GApps with my G3.
I found some last threads that changing G3 D857 to D858HK, however, it does not work cause my device is on LP.
Before I got this phone(D857), I used my G2 device(f320S) so it did not have any matter with downgrading, flashing new roms, or using flash tools.
But I am not familiar with managing D857 from China.
Are there any recent method (in LP condition) which make my device to D858HK version?

so I want know how many guys are using LG G4 Dual SIM model, like H818, H818N and H819.
I didn't find any open source for LG G4 Dual SIM models until now， I want to try but the number of LG G4 dual SIM model user is very import.
so I want to know that to decide whether to develop it. I need your voice and support thank you for everybody.
I almost bought it (H818) today, but I didn't becouse I need LTE B4. Is there any way to enable this band? If it would be possible, I'd love CM!!!

818p here and would love to switch to CM/aosp, that's how it was on my g2 and would love to keep it so on the g4 (dont have anything against factory rom but i personaly prefer the Google experience) even if it means no perfect factory cam software...

I think we will need unlocked bootloader first.. will be great for flashing custom mods to enjoy the modified stock
I am very pleased with the stock LG experience. However, I am missing the systemui and Caller UI from the vanilla Android
and the most important CM support for me is after discontinuation of LG support/updates for the device

I purchased a second hand G4 phone, hardware is single sim, but os is for dual sim h818p v10k. I have unusable dual sim functions on my phone that I want to get rid off.
I do not know what variant it is,F500k or H815t or H815p or just h815. I do not know what os should I download.
Can I install/refurbish the OS with h815p or H815 or F500k using LGUP? Will it accept it? I want to get rid of the dual sim functions that Im not gonna use, and because it is messing up with my messaging app.

I bought another LG G3 from eBay and it turns out it is a D855TR, so a international Turkish variant of the phone.
It is currently only on version 5.0, and there are no OTA updates that can be applied.
The phone does not even let me connect to the LG suite as there is no option to change the USB type!
I want to upgrade to marshmallow as I did with my previous G3, but all the sites that I have visited are in Turkish and I am having trouble finding information if it is safe to use the same rooting/flashing methods as the normal D855. My previous phone was just the standard international D855 and I have rooted it before and successfully flashed different roms onto it without any problems.
So I just wondered what root can I use for the Turkish variant, and if I am able to still flash different roms such as Fulmics onto it like I would with just the normal D855?

I am really happy to join the community. It's been several years since I browsed the forum in quest of precious informations and have never dared to take the plunge. So today is the opportunity for me to expose my problem. I ordered a LG G4 (refurbished) on Aliexpress and in System > Hardware info it's indicated as being H815TR (Turkish) but the IMEI check indicates that it's a H815 for the European market. So, I try to flash "v20i-h815.tot" and "v29a-h815.kdz" (European files) with LG UP but get a "invalid file" error. I have no problem installing the "v20i-h815tr.tot" and the "v29a-h815tr.kdz" (Turkish files). On the off chance, I tried to unlock the bootloader officially and had a mismatch (IMEI / Product ID) but LG made the necessary for me to get the "unlock.bin" file. My LG H815TR is perfercly unlocked and I have been able to test some wonderfull customs roms especially the H-Rom V30 PORT V2.2 (Thanks to Astrako). Unfortunately from the beginning, I cannot activate the FM radio (no sound), this restriction seems to be a special feature of the Turkish version. In hardware info, it is always indicated as an H815TR. Do you think it's possible to convert it completely into an international H815 from TWRP ?
