Mac Support for TP2?

I feel like I should get ready to duck for asking such a question! Im both Windows and Mac savvy, but I am having some trouble now. No one in Tmobile or HTC or Apple customer support has been able to help. Ive searched the forums here and found some very helpful and interesting information! Just not for the problem I am having.
Initially I had no issues connecting my HTC bluetooth PAN network to my Macbook. I was able to go online with my mac and it was a lot faster and nicer than using the mobile browsers.
The USB connection refused to work and now my bluetooth PAN network refuses to connect saying that the remote device supports Network Access Point mode only.
Again I cannot seem to find any info on this particular problem please help!
Im using manilla TP2 settings, no roms or other 3rd party software.
Thanks to everyone who supports and runs XDA this is the only reliable source of info I have found for this phone!
I've used my Tilt2 with my G4 Powerbook via BT but I was using WMWifiRouter to handle the connectivity, not the built-in Connection Sharing. Maybe something got fubar'd with the BT stack on your TP2 and a hard reset is in order?
that is what i was thinking as well! thanks for the reply! glad to know there is at least one other windows mobile mac user out there! do you know of any compiled wiki or other source of info for these kind of mac problems?

Desire as WiFi Router

Hi everyone:
I am new to android. Can anyone tell me if I can use/root my desire as a WiFi router so that I can use my 3G connection to beam out WiFi connection from my phone and browse net on my other devices. (Somewhat like that in HTC HD2, where can can convert the phone into WiFi router.)
This is very important for me as it will help me decide whether to buy desire or HD2. I am really reluctant in buying any windows mobile device and wanna get android.
Please help me on this.
Have a nice day!!
Wireless Tether for Root Users does this. You need root, we are very close to rooting.
There is also a wired option built in.
That'll be great. Yes I know that i'll have to root my device. I just wanted to confirm if this is possible after rooting. So it is. right?
The problem with wired rooting is that u'll always need to have your computer or laptop with you. But generally i want to share m connection with other mobiles when i don't have my laptop around. anyways thanks for the reply. Hope to see the root soon
cheers
Yeah "Wireless Tether for Root Users" is an awesome free app, you can set access control if you want (you must confirm someone is allowed to use the wifi) and you can configure a wep key. It's simple to use and does its job.
can anyone on 3UK check if wifi tether for root users works fine on 3uk network?
I know it works no problems on my TMobile.
Desire HD Wifi Router
This app is great, i try used in my mobile and talk about it.

Hmm strangely enough this is what i need too. I'm celebrating christmas at my mother in law's, and they only have one computer which have wired internet.
Yeah I've been hoping for this as well. I had CM on my OG Droid just to get ad-hoc working on it. Where I work is a cell black hole for all services and if I want my battery to last for more than a few hours I either have to disable data or connect to the ad-hoc connection I have set up.

It can be solved If you have bluetooth on the computer you want to share the net with.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
would love to have this too! ^^
many many thanks!
much needed! bump!
Any more info on this? I think its very strange that the phone doesn't support ad-hoc out of the box and I'd love to be able to connect to ad-hoc networks
Also I heard that it's going to be added in a feature ICS update?

Internet Sharing

I have Internet Sharing enabled on my Lumia. I can use internet sharing with Laptop running windows 7. But my Touchpad wont connect either with webOS or CM9. Not sure if this item belongs here. Does anyone experience this behavior?
