Yes, if you do not want to root, you will need to go down the Goldcard method and then flash the HTC Stock Rom
Otherwise, go down the root option (you will still need a Goldcard) and flash any custom rom.
Just do a search for Goldcard in these forums and you will see how to do it, then just find the stock RUU and run it.
Yes.
You can root your Desire and then there are loads of ROMS that you can pick from to put on your phone.
I tried to post a little guide for you but I couldn't post links to other websites so ust google create Goldcard, then go to Modaco and download the generic Desire rom and install
Ok guys thanks for the advise I will trying today creating gold card.
Do I need backup o2 software to memory card?

You can't. If you need to go back to original software you can unroot the device. Details can be found on modaco.

[Q] HTC Desire HD ROM on HTC Desire

Hi there.
I'm a fairly junior user yet very eager to learn so..
I currently have an HTC Desire, just rooted with UnrEVOked: Android 2.2.
I came across this article on XDA and wondered how I would go about flashing the Desire HD's ROM onto my Desire Bravo. I'm oblivious to all this SD card partitioning/ EXT 2, 3 or 4 jargon etc. All I'm able to do is flash fairy simple ROMs. A step-by-step guide from someone who knows what they're talking about would be very much appreciated, because this ROM is awesome; I just wanna get it on my phone! Your help is very much appreciated.

[Q] sick of trying, need help please

Hello everyone here,
I've been a htc user for 5 years now, first the touch cruise then touch hd and now the wildfire.
I've tried flashing before with the touch hd (blackstone) and that never worked...
I've tried now with htc wildfire and i keep failing over and over...
i used the evo3 one click app, but that doesn't work either, when i now try to recover i get a red triangle and an exclamation mark...
My actual question:
Can somebody here post me a step by step tutorial on how to easily flash and put a custom build on my wildfire? (i just need a faster one, that looks a little bit better and runs really stable...)
thanks in advance!

Hello,
sorry for my bad English.
This is the moment most widespread custom build Cyanogenmod 7 for Wildfire.
with me everything went according to the instructions given in the bottom of CyanogenMod itself.
Unfortunately I can not have any items that are not links from XDA.
No problem, I try to write a bit about.
therefore:
cyanogenmod.com -> devices -> HTC Wildfire -> Wiki -> HTC Wildfire: Full Guide update
I think this is the best and easiest option.

2) If not, what could use tutorial?
Sorry for bad english.
Thank you very much.
