Here is the latest update for CM9 pulled straight from the Defy forums CM9-NIGHTLY-120220-kobe.zip. No probelms now, I did have to just switch the radio band. To get it working find out your carriers frequency and go to Settings -> Advanced -> Baseband switcher and select the frequency like it from the list (I'm on At&t and use the Argentina RT 1900/850mhz baseband under Americas). Then of course you have to edit your apn to your carriers apn for data (Settings -> Wireless and networks -> more... -> mobile networks -> Access point names) the At&t apn is:
Code:
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: wireless.cingular.com

MCC: 310
MNC: 410

Bugs, changelogs, GAPPS, ect in the ORIGINAL THREAD by adi4motion
if you like any of this, go to the thread above and thank Quarx, Epsylon, and the op of the thread.
**from now on, I wont update this, it's pointless. If you want a newer version that comes along, go to the ORIGINAL THREAD by adi4motion, download the newer version and move all contents (from the rom on THIS thread) in /system/ect/motorola to /system/ect/motorola of the newer version. If the camera ever gets fixed for the Defy (fully fixed) this will probably change, maybe Quarx will even help us with CM9 by then.
Thanks! So the camera is working now?

What working and whats not?
I downloaded this build some days ago from defy forums (quarx build), I changed nothing because this does not contain devtree, boot etc *.img.
Maybe signal is having problems because it is set to hong kong or something like that, change it in baseband switcher in advanced settings.
I always use China ME722 1.10 850/1900/2100
Try it!

You need 40 dollars, and I'll send you the phone Quarx. He will help us make optimized firmware. Everything in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1490953
Bravomotorola, have you used the BROWSER? I think that because of lack of 3D acceleration the browsing is not perfect.
I cant even watch flash content on youtube or any online movies.

Copying /system/etc/motorola not necessary in latest (20120303) cm9

Did you install as primary or as multiboot? If multiboot, do a nandroid and install as primary. I've had "bugs" on multiboot that weren't there when installed as primary.
Other than that, not sure. Check the defy threads to see if they have wifi issues. That said, I've glitches (USB tethering) and didn't see anything about it over at defy dev.
Speculating here, but it could be the slight differences between the defy/bravo are starting to show up as the code matures.

Sent from my MB520 using XDA App
Yes. Multiple times. One file at a time. All the files at once. Changing camera apks. Nothing works. Apparently, ICS has a new hardware framework, and that requires new libraries and new drivers; and those require a skilled programmer. All we can really do is wait for Quarx to get his Bravo and help him bug test when he does. Wish I could say better.
That said, it doesn't hurt to try. Maybe you'll have better luck than myself or anyone else whose attempted.

Google Ion 1.6 for HTC Hero.
This project aims at getting the stock Google Ion Rom to run on HTC Hero. No Rosie or any HTC apps will be ever added to that rom. Once fully functional it could be used as a base for cookers.
Current release: Lox-ION-1.0b3 (logcat)
What works:
- place, receive calls
- wifi
- Market
- GPRS
What does not do far
- bluetooth (logcat seems it is relative to libc.so - Uncompatible with current kernel ?)
- trackball
- compass & accelerometer (with akmd > logcat - with ak8973 > logcat )
- GPS
- camera
Note: devs please test hack and share if you fix anything or have any idea
Great! I hope the rest will be fixed soon!
I second that!
Great to hear it.
are you working on the hardware that doesn't work? and whats the progress.
you forgot to mention that the camera doesnt work aswell
Just flashed it, gonna see what I can get working(if anything).
I'd like to try it - but can you go back by using Nandroid - or reflashing Modaco's ROM ( I'm on 2.3 )

I dont know how gecka feels but could we try and keep this thread informative
Just did a bit of snooping around and the GPS does work, you sure you checked it right? I did a bit of tinkering but none of it was related to the GPS at all. Trackball I'm still not sure about, the keylayouts have the same keycodes but still doesn't seem to want to work. Accelerometer just needs the permission to be granted to execute, except I'm not to sure how to do that cause I'm a bit new to linux. As for the bluetooth, don't get me started, its giving me a headache lol xD
hey i m using this rom and its working beautiful...man nice job and the trackball blinks when a phone is ringing ....but doesnt blind at the time of reminders....but still great job...
What about headphone detection? I know with the other Ion ROMs, when you plugged in headphones, it went unnoticed unless you downloaded an app to manually switch the audio over.

Please, consider the [DEV] in the subject: this thread is for devs only.
If you don't give any fix, just follow the thread by subscribing to it and don't polute it! Thanks.
For now this build is buggy, you'll certainly find more and more bugs, witch I don't care for now as I want main functionality to work first (bluetooth, gps etc...)

Some issues might also be tight to kernel version.

Market Apps
Hey all.
We've got a problem with the Donut Market over in the Vogue forums. In Donut, when we load up the Market, there are only 20-30 apps available. Going back to Cupcake builds, the problem persists. However, logging in with a fresh Gmail account gets rid of the problem (in Cupcake.)
So far, my guess as to the cause of this is that Google's server have taken note of any "pirates" accessing the as-of-yet unreleased Donut market, and locked them out. However, I don't see any complaints along those lines here.
So, my question to all of you is, while you say the Donut Market is working, do you still seem to have access to all the applications you did in Cupcake?

this one is: 2.10.1530.1
the previous leak was built on: 4-27-11
this one: 4-28-11
they're both built on 2.3.3

Exactly the reason i didn't want to release this leak on its own... I got it since last night and I thought about having too many leaked ROMs with just a name change would lead to mass confusion and Q&A nightmare. We should merge all the Panache Leaked ROM under 1 unified thread, this would help users with the same questions for all these Panache clones.

Thanks from all you work guys!
We have been hard at work over at the Green Rom Project. Thanks to the dev team, we have managed to establish our github and have begun deving our own special rom.
Themeing has begun, but a lot is needing to be themed. It has been cm based for now and is optimized for better performance. It has Launcher2 with auto landscape mode(works like it should), and It has some other minor tweaks that make it ours.
A custom boot animation has been added giving you the GRP experience from the very beginning. We care not that we make a name for ourselves. What we do care about is developing a stable, efficient, fast, and gorgeous rom for others to enjoy, being a testament of what one can do when learning how to develop.
Our site is geared specifically to cater to the noob or even intermediate developer that just wants to learn and have fun doing it, because developing is supposed to be fun otherwise why do it!
***As always we are not responsible for anything that goes wrong with your phone.***
This is our first attempt at creating a community based rom and would like your input. Feel free to contact us here or at our site http://greenromproject.com/forum
Special thanks the following for making this rom possible:
Evervolve-tweaked Lauincher2 making it landscape properly

Not all the roms will be green although we can go that route if it is asked for lol. I created this project in hopes to build a "community" rom where people can weigh in on what they want and majority wins etc. from every little option including themes.
I think one of our other devs is building a miui rom for the Vibrant and we may be porting over CM7 for it as well. He does have a galaxy tab too so I'm sure will get going on those as well. We are always looking for more assistance with these services as the current 7 devs we have will not be able to handle all devices once we move away from CM7 ports.
Join us at our page if you want to help us out!

I was in love with CM9 RC2, it did everything I wanted. Couldn't ask for more........until...I realized it does not support MMS and I NEED TO SEND AND RECEIVE PICTURE MESSAGES! Onto my actual question though. What custom rom supports all features? I'm looking for a good stable rom that supports all the features my phone is capable of. Verizons 2.3.3 isn't bad but the interface is crap. That's why I "Liked" CM9 RC2. So yeah If anyone could list an all around, all feature working rom it would be much appreciated. Also feel free to list a kernel if you feel as if certain roms perform better with a specific one.
P.S. I don't want an overclocked CPU. I'm fine at the 1Ghz.
-Thanks

Onto my actual question though. What custom rom supports all features? I'm looking for a good stable rom that supports all the features my phone is capable of. Does anyone have a specific rom in mind? One they can verify that all features work. (MMS, camera, speaker volume, data etc...)?
All of the CM9 roms and the CM9 based roms support MMS , you need to manually put in the APN settings using the Voice Dialer. Every CDMA rom has data, camera, text and mms (with apns), and speaker phone.
This link will show you the correct APN settings for Verizon to send/receive MMS

Are you positive this works? Because I had everything else working on this rom EXCEPT for picture messaging (MMS) and if I switch back I need to know for sure it will support it.
It does support mms, I'm on it now. I saw this thread and laughed (no offense. I was new once too)

I would go back and check your settings, verify you typed everything in correctly, make sure to hit menu and save the apn settings and after saving be sure to select/tick the circle on the apn to enable it . If its not working then you made a mistake somewhere.

It's working now, I went to another website and did things similar to what you said, but when I hit "save" the Verizon name was no longer there. I was about to give up then all my pic messages went thru! It's now fully working I can probably re find the link if anyone is interested.

Sent from my Play using xda app-developers app
I recently upgraded my Xperia Play version to 4.0.4 using Trueancestor's ICS ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210559
and LuPuS's kernel from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167766
(LuPuS_zeus_Stock-gB+iCsv7-full.img)
I don't know so much about all this so I sticked to a youtube video that shows how to do that:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JqAPQHRxRY
Since I upgraded to that version my 3G isn't working when I'm on wifi everything works fine but when not on wifi nothing works like Google Store, Dolphin Browser, Sync etc...
(Although Maxthon browser and Whatsapp works fine so its probably not my network connection)
Maybe I did something wrong?
As I said I don't know much about kernels, ROMs and stuff so it might be a stupid problem
and easy words please..
Thanks in advance to all helpers!
