thanks looks realy good how did you make it?
I used adobe fireworks... increased the width of the pic while keeping the proper proportions... and trimmed the top and bottom to center the logo.

You could use Paint Shop animation shop for example.. there's LOTS of utilites out on the net that you could to edit animated GIFs.
Work your magic!!!

Im with ya... but Im just so damned accustomed to Adobe Fireworks.
Haha I'm a loyal Fireworks fan too, been using it for years.
Here's mine, I kept the HTC logo the same dimensions, I was wondering how you got this? Extracted it from a ROM? And how could you set this as the bootscreen in the first place?

Nice animation, I might just use this as my boot screen as it looks really nice...
Can anybody link me to a guide on how to flash a custom animated startup screen? I did a search and found a thread about it, but it was for static bitmaps only.
Here is a custom bootanimation I made using Google's pre-launch video in HD. It looks great. Now just to get the sound to work. I will update later with links to the files.
Here is the link to the video if you can't see the video below:

Mine is a little different than this one, I guess I was not the first to think that this would make a cool looking boot!!
Edit: I just tried this animation, it does not scale to full 720p. If you want it to fill the screen you must edit the txt file, also seems a little slower than the one I created, although it seems to be a little bit better quality than mine.
Where do you push the sound file to
---------- Post added at 03:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:13 AM ----------
Thats not the tron boot thats the Nexus one boot
You either uploaded the wrong file or posted the wrong link because it was NOT the animation from the youtube video. This is the animation from the original Nexus.

Not sure if it is, but you can easily move it to /system/media using a file managing app

No you must push it to the /data/local folder either with a file manager app or through adb
Where does the sound go? Awesome animation! Thank you!!
Very cool. Thanks man. My only suggestion is to make the "galaxy nexus" text a bit larger and higher resolution.

I have not figured that one out yet. I think it has something to do with the Rom you are using. I thought I read somewhere that it needs to be with-in the framework-res file in order for the sound to play but I am not a developer so I can't say for sure.

I tried to make it a little bigger as I enlarged the text to 150%. As for the resolution I could not find a high res photo of the logo, so I had to go with the one I found on the Wiki page.

Haven't tried yet but I would like to ask you one thing.
You tried to make animation from video? (let's say YouTube video)
Because if I make animation from rendered video, I always get white flashes between loops.
But if I make my one pictures, from PhotoShop (video which I render to png's, not to video format) - it's o.k.
It's soooo frustrating, can't find any solution.
I saw few posts related to this problem (I'm not the only one) but no answer.
One guy suggested that I should try to set FPS to lower value - but that doesn't help.
I have few animations and I find a way to include sound in it but they all flash white so it's useless....
Tnx mate, I'll try animation

U should keep on trying bro
i used Sony vegas, for converting and rendering. and boot animation factory for making the zip file.
yeah i used a video file. It took me some hours ( half day) to make this work. i got many errors while making this one.
i got white flashed & some times no boot animation just black screen.
i failed in adding sound, i have to learn more. and there are few steps that has to be done correctly, when converting a video to boot animation and to play sound while boot.
now i know to do that , this boot animation is the result.
i intend to learn from someone, if they have helping mentality.
btw fps settings changes the speed in which the animation runs. depending on the animation we can increase the fps.
in this im using 20. if u use 30 the animation will be faster. thats what i understood from researching. correct me if im wrong.
next is adding sound and text animations on video etc, thats what im thinking to do next.
Have rain sounds?
Edit : tried it,white screen appears more than 3x while playing the animation...

XS, this is tablet.
For sound you just have to rename mp3 to bootanim.mp3 and put it in a root of bootanimation.zip (and remember to set compression method to storage)
You are right for FPS, that's, of course, how you speed up animation.
Check my animation, I made a few.

Possible causes of this error could be:
With Motorola's new logo being unveiled (I'd share the link, but can't as a new member, so just google "Motorola New Logo" if you haven't heard yet) I thought it might be nice to have it in convenient boot logo form. So, here's three options: The logo with text on white; just the logo on white; and just the logo on black.
To install these reboot to fastboot mode, and type "fastboot flash logo <path/to/your file here>" and reboot.
Cheers!

You're very welcome! If you don't mind me asking, which did you flash? I couldn't decide which I liked best when I put them together last night.
They are all very fresh and clean. Good work!
The hardest part is choosing which one to use
Could you also make a quick boot animation of these logos (just one frame) for consistency?
I hate to ask, but how about one on black with the text?
Thank you for creating these.
Looks like this:
Anyone have screenshots/pictures of these? Would love to see how they look before I go flashing. I see what the new logo is on Google, but I'd love to see the actual effect

Actually not quite; for reasons (which I don't understand) the red and blue channels have to be swapped for it to look right.

Love the way these look thanks! Wish there was a version of the M logo on black with the "Google Company" text on there as well. Since there isn't I'll be using the white with text. Will this replace my annoying "Warning Bootloader Unlocked" screen too?
Quick question though and maybe one of you can direct me in the right direction. I just unlocked bootloader the other day and installed TWRP so I'm new to this kind of thing. Can anybody direct me to a link or quickly explain how I "fastboot"? Thanks!

yes this will get rid of the unlocked bootloader message in fastboot you need to use this command fastboot flash logo (logoname.img) just remove the () and replace logoname with the name of the one you are flashing but leave the .img.
to get to fastboot download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249773 it will give you fastboot along with some other useful stuff u may need. then drop the recovery img in the same folder and then shift+right click in the folder and select open command prompt here then just type in the command i put and it will flash then just reboot.
this thread tells you how to make your own http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901444 i used it to make one that matches my avatar
Thanks so much! Will be doing this the minute I get back to the office. Much appreciated!

Any chance you'd be willing to center the logo and text together? Right now it's just the logo that's centered. It looks great, mind you. But I'm OCD. Although I am a graphic designer by trade, so I guess I could figure this out if not. Just having trouble opening an IMG file in Photoshop. All directions seem to be geared towards gimp and I have Photoshop so no need for any additional design programs.

also, rename the .img to .raw, and then photoshop should open it. Same thing with saving; save it as Photoshop raw, and then just change the extention to .img.
Ask and ye shall (eventually) recieve. =]
