Switched off the phone, removed the betray then press and hold volume - and power up the phone. when lg logo appears i release the power button for a sec and then press hold but nothing. then i removed the betray and press and hold power and volume down keys simultaneously for 4 or 5 seconds. recovery screen appears saying loading recovery but on upper left corner it shows secure boot error code 1002. i also tried to boot into download mode by holding volume up and putting cable into phone to connect with pc but same problem with different code. error code 1013.

[Q] Booting problem

hi. I encountered a problem on my phone that doesn't boot properly.
When i tried to switch on my phone it showed at first the welcome msg "Samsung S4 mini gt-i9192" then after that, a pitch black screen, could not properly boot. But i learn that it does not turns off after the screen turns all black, i have to press the power button first to turn off the phone.
This problem started when i installed an app with some compatibility problems.
I wanted to root my phone hoping that can solve the problem, but then again a problem occurred when i tried to connect my phone to my laptop. It fails to install MTP usb device to my computer. I tried connecting it again provided that samsung kies was installed but again failed to connect my phone. Therefore i cant root my phone because i cant copy the files needed to root to my phone sd card.
I tried reinstalling kies, installing mtp drivers but nothing happened. I tried also restoring the previous boot image, restoring factory settings using recovery mode. But then problem still exist.
And fyi my phone can't mount any external sd card using recovery mode. And i think it was not in a debugging mode.
Phone: samsung s4 mini gt-i9192
firmware: i dont know
So basically, the problem is:
my phone wont boot,
i cant connect it to my pc
and i cant root it.
How should i root or even flash my phone when i cant connect to my computer? Do you have any idea on how to solve this problem? Any solutions or suggestions would be much appreciated. tnx.

Have you tried putting the phone in download mode (Volume Down + Home + Power) and then connecting it your p,c , if not give this a shot it should pick up the drivers , once done , take out the usb cable hold the power the button to shut down and boot up .
since you have not mentioned your OS am assuming it is windows , try taking out Kies via some software like revo uninstaller which will remove all directories plus all registry entires then reinstall it if you really need it.

yah, thats what im thinking. i just brought this here hoping to solve this problem without going to a shop. thanks anyway.
aac. To me put your phone in download mode then use moborobo(a windows software) . Just open it and it will install the driver. If it dies not work then use adb installer . Remember you should have only any one of the software at one tim means either moborobo or kies or adb installer
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda app-developers app
btw have you tried to boot the phone in safe mode ?? if it boots in safe mode it is still fixable without going to service center. power down , power up+ tap the menu button 3 or 4 times at THE same time to boot into safe mode if it boots into safe mode that means the hardware and OS is fine if it does not well then your out of luck.

[Q] HTC Desire HD Bricked bootloader not loading and cannot connect to pc need help

Good day!
After searching everywhere in the web and using different methods, I decided to create an account and ask you guys how to solve my problem
Basically, I have a HTC Desire HD phone, this is unlocked, rooted and using cm-Jellytime_42_R11 ROM. I decided to change ROM and go back to Android Revolution. What I did first was I deleted a couple of folders in my clockwork folder, I deleted both backup to free space. Afterwards, I was trying to connect my phone to my laptop but to no avail (it only charged) then I decided to just boot into recovery. After a couple of tries trying to access and going to bootloader/recovery mode it just wont push through. So I decided to normal boot, then the phone won't boot anymore. It just hanged in the Jellytime loading screen.
Note: I removed the battery a couple of too many times since I was trying to boot into recovery.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with this problem
I didn't understand very well.
Can you now go to Hboot screen volume (-) + power button?
And where you get now stucked when you just power on phone?

WHen it getts stuck in the roms boot animation, connect usb to the phone and try
Code:
adb devices
Most devices show up via adb during the boot animation.
If the device shows up there, enter
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
then go here and download 4ext recovery.
extract the .img file from the zip. Rename it to recovery.img and place it in your adb directory and enter this whiles in fastboot
Code:
fastboot devices
to make sure your device shows up
then
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
after it has successfully flashed reboot to recovery ad try and flash the rom u want.
hope i helped. Click on the thanks buttton.

I dont know if this is going to work with CWM but it works on TWRP and 4ext.
Remove the battery and re-insert it.
Now connect the usb to the device.
Dont press the power button.(leave it off)
After the the charging light comes on, the device should be discoverable by adb.
Now try
Code:
adb devices
It should be detected by adb.

Ok, so basically, the problem why i can't do the power button + vol (-) is that my volume buttons are broken. (sad) Second, the reason why my computer wasn't detecting my phone is that my phone's charging slot is dirty and I had to clean it with a needle to remove the dust, at the same time, the cable I was using was broken. When I was able to clean the slot and change cables, I then followed the steps by mickeyasamoah (thanks bro) with the adb procedures. Although it failed when it was in the flash recovery line (dunno why), I just proceeded into flashing a new ROM and voila, it worked.

Your boot loader is broken. Gonna have to get to the down load mode and reinstall either the or the stock. You can probably flash the recovery with .IMG file with lg flashing tool. Nerdy blond's twrp is one of those files that you can use. You can even try installing it first with the adb shell command, you can get the instructions at the same place where you download.

I cannot do anythings since I cannot enter into download mode.
I pressed volume key + and - and insert the usb cable to computer. There is nothing happened, computer dose not show the devices attached and the phone stay in the LG logo screen.
Also, I cannot use adb commands to force the phone enters into download mode as it shows nothings under "List of devices".
Is there any methods I can go into the download mode???
Thank you!

If your phone shows LG start screen, it should go into Download mode. I had similar problem few days ago while I was testing some kernel patches, it just froze on the LG screen. Solution was to unplug it, remove it's battery, SIM & SD (you don't have to remove SIM & SD, I just work that way) , make sure it's off, return battery back, press Vol + & Vol - at the same time and plug-in the USB cable.
Before that, make sure you have installed LG Unified driver (can be obtained via LG's software from support site), because without that Windows won't recognise your device.
After that, once you make your phone usable with Freegee/whatever you use to install initial recovery, flash official TWRP, because others are too old - that Philz CWM is old but still working with Lollipop but not work good and is tends to lock itself into a bootloop if you use hardware keys to enter; that other one, from GPRO_recovery APK is not supported and not working well (for me since day one), so it should be replaced as soon as possible.
Also, I can suggest you to flash your phone from stock 4.1 (not KitKat), root, flash recovery via freegee and after reboot update to latest official TWRP via Flashify.

Which version of Windows are you using? It should be displayed under Serial ports in Device manager (named something like LGE Serial device) and LGFlashTool should recognise it immediately. I can't make you a screenshot/check for real name because I'm running Linux right now and can't reboot.
Also, try with another cable/port, remove all other android drivers you may have (Samsung's, Google's...) and disable antivirus.

OK, it doesn't enter download mode. So, step by step:
- remove battery and leave it for 15-30 seconds, return battery
- press Vol+ and Vol- at the same time and keep them pressed,
- plug USB cable in while keys are pressed
It should immediately put you into download mode, with no LG screen, just black screen with gray box and red text I've described to you.

How to root TP-LINK NEFFOS Y5L ANDROID 6.1

Hi everyone. Just like in the title of my post. I've just bought a TP-LINK NEFFOS Y5L smartphone, and I started to looking information, how I can get root for this device. And I found it:
https://morfitronik.pl/android-root-smartfona-neffos-y5l-tp-link/
Sad that this site is`t online anymore, but u can find it on github or gitlab.
I've flash this recovery, and it's working fine. The next step to root was to download the zip package from the chainfire site (currently abandoned, but u may use magisk from xda) :
https://download.chainfire.eu/1021/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip
Latest MAGISK:
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v16.0/Magisk-v16.0.zip
Well, I've done it. It's working, and I have root on Android 6.1.
Here it is :
View attachment recovery-neffos-y5l-tp-link-twrp.apk
u will have to change extention of file from *.apk to *.img due to xda registration of size file uploaded.

U may also try to boot your phone in this recovery throu fastboot boot image.img
Hello,
I am a bit new... It seems I can't use flashboot mode.
I have DL ADB, then when I key : /adb devices, I see my Y5L.
Then I try to relaunch my device by pressing the VOL + / Restart button => I reach a picture of android and 3 japanese (or chinese characters).
When I plug the device to my PC, it seems that nothing happen (like it was not recognised by the PC).
Du you have any idea?
Best regards
Hello. It is a very annoying thing, but also very simple to solve. If u see the broken robot when u trying to enter to recovery, u must push and hold power button and short press vol+. But if you want to go to recovery or fastboot mode, u don't have to power down your phone. Just go to cmd (or whatever) console and write:
" adb reboot recovery" to boot up you device in recovery mode or
"and reboot bootloader" to boot into fastboot mode
Seeia.
Greetings!
The custom TWRP link does not seem to work as it should be. Either that or I am missing something
Could you please re-upload the recovery file?
Thanks!
"edit: I found it"
Can someone write a tutorial please, it's the first time i try to root with TWRP and i don't understand if the bootloader method for emample is from the device or from the pc because i can enter to the official android device (Y5L ANDROID 6.0.1 ) recovery menu but when i choose to boot at bootloader the phone freeze at the logo. Thanks a lot for any help.

Hi, I'm trying to install the custom bootloader but after running:
abd reboot bootloader
the phone gets stuck on the tp-link logo.
Trying with volume-up + power shows the broken android logo, from there, holding power + vol-up gets me to recovery but neither fastboot nor adb detect the device. Selecting the "reboot to bootloader" option there ends in the same lock on the tp-link logo.
(I did activate the "unlock bootloader" in developer options.)
Any ideas on how to proceed? thx in advance.

(I did activate the "unlock bootloader" in developer options.)
Any ideas on how to proceed? thx in advance.

Yeah i also had this problem, open at the android menu your phone and make sure you have enable developer settings and USB Debugging, install Wondershare MobileGo at your pc ( you don't need to install the app at your phone) and connect your phone with the pc, wait to find the drivers at the charge usb selection and after that swap from your phone to all 4 settings of usb connections, mobilego will download 4 drivers total and after that it will read it.
I cant post a link but if you have Chrome to translate from polish to english there is a new simple tutorial, go at the first link at the op post and at the site click at the red text at the beginning next to "twrp" text and translate to english for guide.

Stuck on download mode screen ...

Hi guys i have a problem , today when i wanna turn on my phone using power button i have the screen logo razer and the message " download mode " in the upper part . I ve tried to reboot the phone but the same issue keep comming im stuck in the download mode screen again & again ... Can u please help me with this problem .
You need to use fastboot to fix it.
Command is "fastboot set_active a && fastboot reboot"
thx for the reply ! , i did what u told me to do but i have the following message :
Setting current slot to "a"
FAILED ( remote: Slot change is not allowed in lock state
)
finished total time : 0.002s
And my phone is the same as before ... Why ?
Hi, I had this with my Razer and I fixed it by flashing a different set of files. I tried debranding my Three UK handset by flashing the original global files MR1, but it wouldn't boot. Flashing MR3 fixed it for me
Its seems ( from the error message ) my bootloader its locked , and i have not enabled usb debugging before ...what can i do ?
Send the phone to razer
I have no other choice ?

Flash factory images. RMAing a phone should never be first choice.
You should be able to factory reset this way and it should boot. It won't flash important or critical files tho and you'll lose data/ internal sdcard.

If you can get to download mode then why can't you get to recovery and factory reset?

Factory reset is an option is recovery. Gotta get to recovery
Have you tried flashing the stock img?
Yes , at the end of the operation and all data have been flashed the comand prompt automatically closed and my phone reboot at the same time . But that " download screen keep appeared again ... it seem the flashing don't resolve my problem at all ( maybe because the bootloader is lock or USB debugging not enabled ? )
My fastboot driver are to date because I can send the command " fastboot reboot" to reboot my phone . Also when i send the command " fastboot devices " my phone appear bellow the line with numbers so I think it's ok .
I've noticed the flashing process and the command prompt seems to stop and rebooting my phone when " user data flashing ( something like that ) " appear in the command prompt during the flashing , dunno where it come from ...
P.S : like I said before , sorry for my English ^^ ...

Try turning off the phone. Plug the cable to a computer, then as the phone is off, hold down volume + then plug the cable. Do not press the power button. Try a hard reset when in download mode by holding the power button and volume + for more than 10 sec.

If your phone seems to show up in adb devices it's probably fine but try uninstalling adb fastboot and redo the installation of adb and fastboot.

If you run adb devices and get a serial number then that means adb is communicating. How many different button combinations have you tried to help kick it to recovery or something. Have you tried adb reboot recovery in download mode to see if it enters recovery?

Adb devices returns your devices serial number right?
And how did you set up adb? Did you use the simple installer that just requires you to type "y" ?

Have you tried the following?
Get the factory images, edit the "flash_all.bat"
Go to the line "%fastboot_cmd% erase userdata"
And add a pound "#" sign before it
Like this
###%fastboot_cmd% erase userdata.
Or just remove the entire line.
Save it and flash the images using the .bat file.
Doing the above will stop the factory images from erasing your internal storage.
Let me know how it goes.
