This should work on Korean model as long as you follow the steps to modify it. I saw a guide somewhere on XDA.

Sources should be much more up to date. So things like ambient display and better camera quality. And general smoothness and stability

I'm genuinely interested in LineageOS, but what's keeping me from it is the camera. Could you tell me in percentages or some sort of scale just how bad it is compared to the stock? And btw, would Google Camera ported with HDR+ work better? Thanks

Well I use HTC cam and I would say for most people you wouldn't notice the difference between stock

Somehow I think this took a lot of copying and pasting

Probably a dumb question but is lineage pre-rooted?

This is dumb question I think but if someone can answer that's testing this that be awesome, does this have the pixel launcher in it?

So instead of getting weekly official builds, there will be unofficial nightlies additionally?
Will you keep it on Google drive or move to a different host?

Actually, there's a port which works really well on Exynos (I'm using it now on stock rom, and the results are most often better than what Samsung's camera produces).

[DDK 1.9] OmniROM DDK 1.9 Test Version

Introduction
This is a test version of OmniROM with SGX DDK 1.9 graphics drivers, as well as many OMAP-related kernel updates. No, this isn't 3.4, but a LOT of TI updates were packed into the kernel. Currently, this is only for maguro, but anyone can build it for toro/toroplus with the sources.
Click to collapse
Features
The ROM and the kernel has a stock feeling - no mods were added.
Most notable new features:
- SGX DDK [email protected]
- GPU governor
- Enabled 384 MHz GPU frequency (as a part of the OMAP updates)
- Tons of background changes for the kernel
Click to collapse
Important notes
Camera and OMX is not working yet! This turned out to be a harder task for me to fix than implementing the new GPU drivers...
Other bugs are not known yet, but there may be some! Bug reports are welcome.
Thanks to everyone who helped me, especially Hashcode, as I used his repos as an example on how to set up things properly.

FAQ
How can I install this?
Just flash the ROM zip (and optionally GAPPS), and you're done.
Can I install this on top of Omni roms?
Yes, you should be able to do so without data loss.
Can I revert to non-1.9 Omni after this without data loss?
Yes.
Is this faster than the current ROMs/kernels?
As this is a stock-like ROM and kernel, not necessarily - there are no optimizations, etc added.
However, if one adds the optimizations used on current custom roms and kernels, this should be faster than them.
Can I install another kernel?
No, the new drivers require the ROM and the kernel side to match each other. Only this combination will work.
When will you fix camera?
I'm trying, but I don't have much success...
Can I help?
Sure, I appreciate any help, as I'm running out of ideas on how to fix camera and OMX.
Can I build this stuff myself?
Of course - everything needed is on my github. You'll need the following repos added to your Omni sources:
omni_android_device_samsung_tuna
omap (newpvr2 branch)
proprietary_vendor_samsung_tuna

Amazing! I will try out tommorow
I've installed it and it feels smooth, I've not encountered any bugs yet. Have you tried removing "kitkat workarounds" from frameworks/native?
Thanks for your awesome work
Nice work! Seems a lot more responsive although it may be placebo effect.
Thanks for posting this, I'm going to try building for toroplus, since we seem to get left out of the excitement so often. My internet connection is slow and so is my computer, so you will probably have everything fixed before I get a chance to even look for bugs.
Great work! I hope you manage to get camera working soon.
Amazing work bro, wishing u best of luck !!
I'm on F2Fs otherwise would have tested this asap...
Awesome work!
Thanks for the amazing work you've brought to the gnex, but since i'm on F2FS i was wondering if you could make a F2FS compatible version of this rom?

Yeah, but the glitches are still there. Actually, that may be a bug in android itself (it affects a lot of devices), they may have fixed it on L... and those workarounds are really not important, as the problem only comes when taking screenshots. And since android takes screenshots for the rotation animation, etc, those glitches appear there as well. The workarounds just force it to take screenshots on CPU-path, they don't change anything else.
I think they fixed it in DDK 1.12 (which is the next version after 1.9), but that's another story, as I think it does not support our GPU (but it may in the future).

[ROM] [LP5.1.1 r8] [UB] Rom Updated Jul 18 Paranoid Android Stable Unofficial

July 18: New build is up. This is LP 5.1.1 r.8
Latest PA changes
FM radio incorporated
Slim Launcher instead of Launcher3
All hardened features are in
Latest M5 kernel with voltage, kcal, sound, hotplug, multiple governors and TWRP
Download Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=13577
P.S. Although, clean install is preferred, you may flash dirty if you are upgrading from the prior PA version. Still, to escape conflicts I would format everything including internal sd, then flash the rom, then flash Supersu, then do Xposed if you use it, then restore data partition that you previously backed up with TWRP, then reboot
______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Rom Updated on July 13. Latest changes. Also new kernel based on M5 with numerous governors/sound/kcal/voltage and others.

_______________________________________________________________________________
Here is the latest Paranoid Andoird LP5.1 for Honami. Latest AOSP/Paranoid features.
My changes:
1. All security features including ciphers, random number generation, 256 bit encryption, SElinux out included
2, Kernel with sound, screen calibration, voltage, overclocking and TWRP
3. Evil IPs removed
4. WIFI background scanning disabled
5. Network selection is handled by System and you can set any available combination in Cell Networks and your selection will stick
6. VOLTE enabled, you are all set if and when your carrier offers the service
7. Camera mike sound fixed
8. Thermanger tweaked to prevent flickering
Instructions:
1. Full factory reset and separate wiping of System/Cache/Data
2. Flash the rom
3. Reboot and enjoy
Warnings: If your device dies or kills everybody in the vicinity, blame yourself. This is XDA, if you can't help yourself, stick with stock
Another Warning: Please no dumb questions in this thread, such as: where is my network, I am on C6902; where is my recovery; where is the gapps; No comments like this: great rom, except for one thing ; can you take a nose from DirtyUnicorns and stich it to this rom; oh, my god, the phone bootloops.. This rom boots and works. Also, no complaining about bugs without posting a readable logcat. Again, if you can't help yourself by reading, no one will help you. Can I support multi-rom? Never, multirom/kexec the way it is implemented on Android (by teenagers who have no concept of security) is a glaring security hole exposing your phone to multiple threats...

You planning to regularly updating this build ?
Rom updated
New build is up. See the OP.
Please don't expect nightly files, which make no sense. There will be at least monthly updates or so.
The kernel in this build allows for much deeper undervolting. I have been testing different values in the past 24 hours and here is what I have:
300mhz 720
422mhz 730
652mhz 745
729mhz 765
883mhz 785
960mhz 800
1036mhz 810
1190mhz 825
1267mhz 840
1497mhz 860
1574mhz 880
1728mhz 900
1958mhz 925
2150mhz 950
And it is stable. No issues. I use lionheart cpu governor, which is the most lag free.

If you have c6902, then you have to apply the patch to have network. Otherwise - yes.
Alright I got it to work. So far so good. Smooth as butter. Battery life is amazing. The only thing I sadly miss is the ability to use native Sony apps. I wish the Play Store would still count the phone as Z1.
Does anybody know a port for the stock Sony apps? Testing the ROM now. Thanks

Don't think so. His twrp has a different fstab so it works on vm and boost. So if you have a twrp version that works for your phone (2.8.7.0 at least), you should be fine.

Its better than i though it would be on performance. Basically no hardware functions like camera or microphone work. Wifi, however, does work. Fun to play with new features, like google now. ON TAP. Most software functions seem fine (like system ui customizations). Thats about it though.

you can dirty flash but you'll need to wipe system partition in TWRP (wipe, advance wipe, system and cache) and after you flash the ROM, reflash GAPPS
Will the new Lineage OS builds fix old bugs inherent in the old CM14.1 nightlies? Since the first CM14.1 build for my phone (HTC one m8), fellow Canadian users have reported that turning on location services resulted in bootloops (this did not occur with CM13). The problem was never fully fixed, and it didn't seem like anybody was working on a solution. It would be great if the new Lineage OS builds would have these old issues resolved.
Why is it that noone wants to support a device with an exynos based proccessor, and will it ever happen? For example noone is developing any AOSP roms for the galaxy s6 edge...
What will happen to those devices which didn't had any maintainer in CM? Eg ZUK Z1!

Samsung makes the Exynos processors and doesn't release the processor source, and it is very difficult to develop on processors when there is no processor sources. Samsung stopped releasing the processor source code after the whole brickbug fiasco.
Additionally, they make it more difficult to develop on Exynos devices by, violating the GPL, (which the kernel is licenced under) by holding back parts of the kernel source code, to where what they provides rarely is enough to create a booting kernel, as is required. This makes it to where we can't really see how they make it work and reverse engineer a working kernel.
Maybe one of the s6 developers will port LineageOS to the S6's.

LLVM is a C/C++ compiler that is becoming increasingly popular. It enables use of compilers in a broader range of configurations, providing for better performance and power usage – particularly on Snapdragon micro-architectures.

In terms of actual benefit in daily use? Probably none at all.

You know that you have to publish your kernel sources if you made any changes into it?
If not read this: https://www.xda-developers.com/xda-developers-and-the-gpl/
And last but not least, you push a build out which hopefully tested by yourself.
I am not sure if its booting or even working as it has to...

Actually, that's not good enough. You are a joke if you think that in anyway providing a "patched" version of EX Kernel Manager is ok. EXKM is a paid application in which you clearly have no respect for. @flar2 is a very hard working developer whom provides custom kernels for a ridiculous amount of devices and provides one of the best kernel manager options for a very small fee.
I'm reporting this thread...period.
Thread has been reported, I guess we'll see what the moderators have to say about this as you are most certainly in violation of the xda rules in more than one way
