Hiding the notch - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

Is there any way to hide the notch like there is on the Huawei P20 and the OnePlus 6?

No and Yes
In Redmi 6 pro Notch hide option is available but not in Mi A2 lite.

Hiding the navigation bar? *Update Inside*

I know the pixel is a new phone but I'm just curious if there's a genius out there that knows how to disable it so we can use gestures. I hate the stock navigation.
I hate it too! I want the old style navbar back! The code was there to activate it if you wanted but this is Google forcing what they want on us!

It is weird, all the code and icons are still there. Most everything is the same as the Pixel 2 xl. Someone might be able to. The smali code is a little different but not much.
Hoping someone finds a command to disable it, plus I'd love to have more screen real estate.
I hear ya,,,I just dont get it,,why not leave the option there to use it? It would be one thing if they deleted the code and its not there,,,but it is LOL,,,give us the option. I cant stand this new navbar! And from what I read on all the other Android sites there are more that dont like it than do.

I got it ?, the "navigation gesture" app has a command that works. I'm currently using "Oneplus Gestures"

I'm running the same setup but also with Nacho Notch and it's so much better than stock. Oneplus Gestures so far seem to be a lot better than stock ones.

Thanks for putting on to Nacho Notch way better than the developer Notch settings
I found this for enabling the old navigation buttons and getting rid of the gestures.

I'm probably going to do this when I get a chance. While the new gesture style navigation isn't completely horrible, I can't say that I'm a big fan of it.

I think I'm going to stay with the full screen no navigation buttons with the OnePlus gestures

Same thing I'm staying with. It makes it easier to switch between my Pixel 3 XL and my iPhone XS Max. Not to mention I'm also getting the OnePlus 6t. So all my phones will have very similar navigation gestures.

There's an app that'll hide the navigation, I posted the link above

[Request] Use native Android 9 gestures for full screen mode.

I am a huge fan of the native gestures from the pixel 2 and pixel 3 however, the gestures on the full screen mode of MIUI are a bit annoying at times. Is there a way to get the Native Android 9 gestures for MIUI on the Mi MIX 3?

Check XDA news feed. There is a magisk module that does it
Is there a non root option?

Navigation gesture - only Android 10 version?

Does the 7T still have Oneplus' own gesture navigation or does this phone only come with the standard Android 10 gestures? (I know the navbar buttons are still there if preferred)
OP's nav. gestures have been replaced with Google's.

GSMarena's review says the same:

I am pretty sure you can choose whether to use Android 10 gestures, or Oneplus's as before (swipe from down L or R for back), I saw this screenshot somewhere.
On screenshot I saw it was option: Gestures (left right) or Gestures (bottom), so I am almost 100% positive, you can choose.

This is right. You get an option to select Gestures (left right) or Gestures (bottom)
No, OnePlus 7T does not have OnePlus' gestures. It only has Google gestures. And I've read on the forums that some other model, I think OnePlus 7/7 Pro, also had them removed in Android 10 update.

I hope they add them back...Oneplus 7 had kept them though in Android 10...
I have the device, it is really annoying that it only has the google one. If only they added it back. Anyone found any workaround?
Using vivid navigation gestures from app store and works well. No more assistant and can use lmt pie launcher again.
I'm late to owning the 7t so I have no experience with the OnePlus gestures.
I'm curious to know what advantages it has over Google's gestures?
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
The assistant gesture is really annoying...
Can not be disabled?

Not sure what other options need to be enabled for it, I don't have AOD enabled.
Have you updated to the latest available?

Might depend on what clock faces you've chosen, just set it back to the first one maybe
tried changing the clock style, but no use.
