3rd Party Case offerings? - ASUS ZenFone 6 (2019) Accessories

So this phone is not blowing up the USA market, should we be expecting any of the major 3rd party case companies to hustle up and offer a product for those of us buying the "correct" smartphone?
I'm looking at you Spigen! I've had a few of their cases before (Slim Armor, Rugged Armor etc) and would love to get one for the ZenFone 6 I have now, but it looks like the only Asus product on their site is for the ZenFone 3 Max. There are a vast number of random knockoff cases on Amazon/ebay that have the Spigen-look (matte black with a fake CF inlay), and I am sure they are worth the $6-7 to protect this phone from a drop.
The OEM Asus clear case that comes with the phone will suffice, but will we be without any options from other companies out there? Has anyone emailed and heard anything from any company about when/if they will offer a product for this unique phone?

Random Spigen Knock-off ^^^

My Zenfone is currently sporting the exact case pictured above. Frankly, I wasn't too impressed with the case included with the phone this one is satisfactory, but I'd prefer something with better protection.
I've only emailed Supcase so far. I've yet to get a response, but a company representative told me on facebook that they'd look into adding it to their lineup.

You should check out rhinoshield.io. Expensive case, but offer good protection.

Bad news for Otterbox fans, a company representative on twitter has said there are no current plans for Zenfone 6 cases.
@x1tymez I've considered going with the rhinoshield case, and may still do so, but I'm holding out hope for something with a built in screen protector.

Do these bumper cases really protect a phone properly? I'm not a fan of the exposed-back idea.

Well, can't speak for the protectiveness of bumper cases, but I would like to point out that the Solidsuit cases made by Rhinoshield are available for the Zenfone 6 and they do not leave the back of the phone exposed.

I use Rhinoshield Solidsuit its amazing case But Quite costly ( 2000 Inr )

if only the touch functionality works outside the case, i would jump on this in a heartbeat. i use google maps a lot and this would've been perfect as i would be able to put it in my car dock.

Just ordered a new case with a kick stand I'm going to try out
Should have it in a couple days

depends where you are located? I'm located in Canada and bought this case

On this RhinoShield website you can design your Zenfone 6 case with custom text, pictures etc. but as others have mentioned, it's expensive.

Disappointing to me as well, but not at all surprising. I am loving the OnePlus One, but being a new phone from a new company with unknown numbers in the world... the big manufacturers are unlikely to give it much attention. Or at least that is my line of thought.
I tweeted at incipio and they don't have any plans either. I asked rearth and am waiting for a reply. I'm just glad that diztronic is making a case for the oneplus one and I for sure will definitely support them for future phones for their ongoing support for any major phones.
But speaking from a business perspective, it makes sense... If oneplus did remove the invite system and more people asked them then these companies would make cases for this phone due to its popularity.
Sent from my One using Tapatalk
Oh yeah I completely don't blame companies for not supporting the One.
I posted this for informational purposes.
I'm sure I'll get a Cruzerlite at the least. But I REALLY want a more sturdy case if I need something with rugged protection. So far a TPU case is as protective as it gets right now.
I'm personally waiting for the Diztronic case. The cruzerlite case looks nice but the design isn't really my thing.
Spigen tends not to support a lot of phones/carriers. They never delivered a case for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, and now the One. Although as someone else mentioned, it's not surprising they aren't supporting the One. Right now it's a niche phone and may not ever have the popularity/availability of other major devices.
So Cruzerlite and Diztronic cases are at this time the best possible cases for Oneplus one phone?

I wasn't a big fan on the neo hybrid. It looks nice but it makes the phone too bulky and rectanglar shaped. Mainly the bulk of the case was the problem for me.

Is there a real rugged case for the zenfone 2 yet? I like the otterbox defender but they do not even do any cases for asus phones so is there any alternative?

those china ones still do not have a cover over the glass though correct?
No no cover. I'm using one like that the amzer hybrid and it's actually pretty decent. Haven't dropped yet so don't know how effective it is. You might need to take an exact knife to the USB and 3.5mm holes though depending on what cables you use. That being said I ordered 2 lighter tpu cases on eBay yesterday. The case fits the phone like a glove though

Being the freak that I am, I always order three things when I get a new phone, first, Glass screen protector a must! second, silicone case for everyday use, third, rugged case for sporting and outdoors. I got this rugged case, for the price, it actually works quite good, good enough for drops. Not a fan of of the "kick-stand" but no choice in the matter. Fourth, I usually get a waterproof case but haven't been able to find one for this phone. I'm sure it will come out soon, nice thing to have when you're on the beach in Jamaica

I have one as well....the only thing I don't like about it is when taking it off, it wants to take the back with it. But yes, in conjunction with a tempered glass screen protector it does the job
This case is a little slimmer and protects well from drops (I'm clumsy )

Anyone manage to find a waterproof case for this phone? not those generic bags ones, one that's actually made for this phone.
I use this exact case, and drop my phone 3x a day, and it works great. Couldn't be happier with it.

Current cause that I know. Rugged and covers the front as well. Had it for a few months and the phone is still spotless. Case itself it's a bit scratched up but it has more quality than you'd think.
The transparent silicone bumper on Aliexpress works pretty good. It overlaps the screen a bit so it's protected from falls or scratches.

Me too! Love these cases.
You are telling me about it the second I found out is the second I bought it lol!
me too! ordered in a blink of an eye
Just shipped getting mine monday! will post pics!
I'll be ordering this within the week. This will be my third case and hopefully my last
I can't wait to see some pics. I like how small the included case is, and I don't want the phone to be even bigger. If this case doesn't add too much bulk, it's be nice to have a little extra protection.
Is it a hybrid case? The pictures make it seem like ours just a soft case. I prefer a hybrid (soft case with shell)
Just got it so far button feel very responsive its a soft-case but feels very sturdy not flimsy whatsoever
My wife has the hybrid case for her S7, I got the Spigen on Saturday and mulling over sending it back. The shape is slim, yet protective and just enough lip around the screen and the camera lens. Overall, I'm just not happy with the texture when I pick it up.
I had this case for my P9 and loved it. Hope will be avail in the UK soon.

Got mine yesterday, had one on my Nexus 6P and loved it..... Love it on my Axon 7 too!
It's not that flimsy rubber, or lose fitting.... it's stiff, fits tight and perfect.
I'm SOOOOOooooo glad this case finally came to the A7!
In terms of size, how does it compare to the included case. I realize the included case is minimal protection at best but I like that it doesn't completely disrupt the lines of the phone.
Thanks
I wanna get one but it's not even close to being worth the $20 they're asking for it.

UAG Monarch Series (images inside)

I just got my UAG Monarch series for my S8+. As usual it fits great, the keys are very responsive. Now I hope I can find a good tempered glass that fits without peeling off. I installed an IQ shield (wet install) and had to trim the edge (badly trimmed off by me).

How does it do for edge protection?? Is the top and bottom lip seem to give decent protection on the screen when face down? It barely raises the screen off the desk when face down. I have the Spegein Heavy Armor and it almost feels like the phone will fall out at the first good impact. It also doesnt seem to have much edge protection at all.
It has around 1mm gap
Is the gap enough though? I've always liked UAG cases and something that will protect the device well. This is my first edge phone,so not sure if it will be enough
I agree on that, I might have to go back to an otter box. I hate bulking up the phone like that.
I think the gap is much better for me than my spigen liquid armor
Thank you for posting pictures of this case!
I ordered it off of amazon, but unfortunately, it will be getting shipped in a month .
But I really wanted to see how it looked, so thank you so much for this!
You're welcome. Pre ordered mine on the 1st week of April from uag site, got 2 days after my s8+ arrives
Really nice case, you have better pictures then the UAG website. I didn't realize it was two tone like that.
I'm really curious how the dimensions of the Monarch compare to an Otterbox Commuter or Symmetry. Any chance you could get ahold of one or both of those and do side-by-side photos?
I don't have otterbox case. But im still waiting for the Pelican case to cone out.
Any idea how long these take to ship to the UK from UAG? Thanks.
I pre-ordered this 1 week before my S8+ came. It took about a week when i got it from uag USA. Not sure about UK, sorry.
I have the Monarch for my S8+, in addition to a couple of Plasmas (Ice & Cobalt). I prefer the Plasma, as it feels sturdier - the lower lip on the Monarch is flimsy. However, the Monarch feels slimmer on the sides, making it a bit easier to hold.

Accessories Let's Talk Cases....

So I have spent quite a bit of time searching around for some good cases for the Pixel 6 Pro , I bought one of the soft silicone official Google ones, a Dbrand Grip, and a Ghostek Nautical Slim waterproof case. The Google one is a complete waste of money and offers no real protection in my opinion. The one I have had my phone in since I bought it a couple days after getting my P6P is the Ghostek Nautical Slim, and let me tell you, I absolutely love this case!! Offers every protection you could ask for to keep your expensive investment safe. It's not bulky at all in comparison to other water resistant offerings on the market and even some standard rugged cases. Once in a while I'll get a failure to read on the fingerprint reader, but I would say it's maybe 1 in every 50 tries, to me that's negligible. Long story short, the Ghostek Nautical Slim is a case I definitely recommend for the P6P! Got mine off Amazon for $39.99 and was at my door 2 days later.
So my question to all of you is what other cases do you all use that you absolutely love and swear by!!! I'll post an Amazon link to the Ghostek Nautical Slim and encourage you all to do the same if possible!!

There are tons of other threads in this section that mention case in the title, but my answer is short and simple. My wife and I always use OtterBox Defender.
I can't stand those cheap built-in screen protectors. They all have a dot matrix and the Newton ring effect. But glad you like it and you're satisfied with it. Dbrand grip with the leather skin and Whitestone combo have been treating me well.
This what I have and it's great. I also got one for my OnePlus 9 Pro and for my Samsung Galaxy z Fold3
