I'm in 100$.
European is bootloader unlockable AFAIK.
I won't agree with hardware root. No way I'm opening the phone.

I don't agree with it either, that's why I wrote that. Preferably without physically tampering with the device.

If no one manages to crack it, I can perform a simple return/refund to the method of payment. I'm simply donating now as an incentive to get a developer going and try.

I'll throw in 50 next week. Also your 1000 goal I think will never be achieved only with lg v50 community, as it seems we are alone. Maybe hook it up with G8 one?

I think $1000 is a good goal. The bounty has to be higher then the phone so whomever cracks it can get their money back and then some.

up to you! The more money there is the bigger the incentive is for whoever cracks it. Everything will go to that person.

I'm working on getting my LM-V500N rooted, but I'm seeing little hope that I will be able to accomplish this. I am not a talented wizard by any stretch of the imagination, so hoping for me to be the one seems folly.
But at least one person is working on it.
Another avenue that should be pursued is venturing into the SK side of the internet to see if they have had any luck or made any progress on that side of the pond. The population of Korean Varient V50 owners is obviously going to be much higher over there. It has occurred to me that they could very well already have a root method and bootloader unlock for the N Varient that we are simply unaware of because of the language insulation. I haven't looked. But the bounty might be ripe for the taking.

On google.co.kr the top result for "LG V50 root" is this subforum. That's about all I got when it comes to browsing the Korean internet. If anyone knows Korean though that's a great idea Dathaniel

Just put 50$ in advance, and will found another 50$ when the Collector has done his work.

You can have my 50$ donation just for working LG-UP and common.dll so that I can crossflash European Firmware. And you can have 100$ if you make the WiFi and call recording working in european room. I said wifi because it seems that wifi drops for lg v40 crossflashed from korean to european.:good:

Until root, which seems that far away, I'll be happy with LG-UP, common.dll, working EU firmware and call recording. I'm willing to donate separately another 50$ for this. Maybe direct to Developer's PayPal.
So, dear Developer, please feel encouraged to make that working common.dll for V50 and share it here.

As the european V500EM can be unlocked officially anyway (what ive been told, and what the one who asked me to make the TWRP said, as he unlocked his bootloader), could someone test this TWRP?
Basically a converted TWRP from the V40, with added product partition and sd855 stuff: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1TIp_PK4VQIq6cD_LwpPGgEzhCpiMvqk_
TWRP has set 2019-05-01 security patch, should be same for the system its supposed to boot, as that was the security patch level of the kdz i unpacked.
Encryption wont work, im 99% sure of that, but it should atleast boot, steps should be similar as on the V40 (on how to install/boot it). V40 Guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v40/development/twrp-lg-v40-judypn-t3970111
This is solely for the V500EM (it technically should boot on other variants as well, but for that you would need to unlock the bootloader there).
A loophole on the G7 (what ive been told) was though that, even though bootloader was locked, you could fastboot boot ANY image you wanted, and therefor gain temp root, anyone tried that yet, just curious.

Hello, Markus!
We are quite a few on Korean model, but as soon as we unlock and TWRP will work, count on me for a $50 donation. I also will throw another $50 for working common.dll and lgup for crossflashing to European or other stock firmwares. Also 100$ for root/bootloader unlock. I'll try tomorrow to see if we have access to fastboot and maybe try to flash your TWRP from there. I'll let you know here.
Thx for supporting us! :good::highfive:

Zopo ZP980+ (2GB/32GB)

I welcome everybody to the thread about the upgraded ZP980.
ZP980 vs ZP980+
The + version is supposed to be the exact same hardware as the ZP980, only with double the internal memory and RAM.
Why a separate thread for this variation?
Many people have pointed out that this model is basically the same as the ZP980 except for the size of the RAM and the internal storage (2GB vs 1GB and 32GB vs 16GB respectively).
The discussion is still going on in the ZP980 thread. Until it is 100% confirmed that everything works exactly the same for both phones, I am planning to keep this thread. Except if XDA decides differently of course.
In any event, this thread was not created to compete with the ZP980 thread. Personally I follow that one too and participate in the discussion. This thread here only exists as a point of reference for confirmed methods, tricks, ROMs and recoveries for the ZP980+.
Can I try ROMs and other stuff I find in the thread for the standard ZP980?
I would say yes, with some caution.
In case you try something that works or -even more important- something that does not work, please be kind and share with us in this thread. This way you are helping the community take the most out this excellent piece of hardware and avoid mistakes.
Phone specs:
5" screen
FHD Super Retina Display 1920*1080 pixels, 441PPI, OGS

2GB RAM
32GB internal storage
13-megapixel rear camera
Android 4.2 out of the box
2G: GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G: HSPA 850/2100 MHz
Battery:Li-Polymer, 2000mAh
Dimensions: 143.3 x 70 x 8.5mm

IF YOUR PHONE DOES NOT HAVE THESE EXACT SPECS, PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU READ IN THIS THREAD.
Confirmed Root Methods
1. Framaroot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276 (first reported by Jan1959)
Note: it is possible that after upgrading to the latest version Framaroot does not work any more.
2. Eroot has worked for some users.
Credits go to the people who developed all the stuff that I mention in this post and to the people who pointed them out to me to include them here.
I repeat:

My ZP980+ is waiting for me in Greece. I'll have it in a couple of weeks since I live in Switzerland.
But I couldn't wait to open this thread and prepare for what I need to do.
Has anybody already received it?
Did you manage to root it?
I managed rooting it via ERoot. I learnt that this is the only possibility to get rooted new zopo generation. Would be glad if there were another also working with linux. But as far as I know, there has not been any yet.
Dimitris, will you keep 1st post of this thread actual? It would be useful, if any custom ROM fully compatible with this model were linked in this opening thread as well as root tools and other useful tooling.

I am planning to keep the 1st post up to date IF nobody else offers to do it (I am sure XDA can change the poster of the OP if we ask them to, I have seen it done in other forums).
I only started this thread because I wanted to make a clear distinction and avoid bricking my device (selfish me) and also help others avoid bricking their devices.
I will add in the OP any useful piece of information that I see posted in the thread, starting with Framaroot (by Jan1959) and ERoot (by you) will follow if you explain a bit more (either describe what you did or provide a link as Jan1959 did ).

I seems to be logical that it works, because I do not know a root method which works on zp980h, but does not on c2 platinum. C2 platinum can be found in compatibility list. It is the 1st model of the higher zopo generation.

This referred to Dimitris' allusion, that zp980h is not part of the compatibility list. I mean that older root methods (i. e. motorola apk exploit and so on) do not work any more with newer zopo devices. 1st of these devices is c2 platinum. Up to now, I have known only eRoot which is able to root it and zp980h. If framaroot works with this, it should also work with zp980h.
going to follow this, ordered mine 21/08 on mixeshop for shipment to belgium.
Hope it's on his way because they say 5 to 7 days and the 5 day is today and status is still processing but i read that chinese shops don't put a lot of effort on status changes, maybe anyone experience with this shop?
I used eroot and manage to root with one click without problems. win7 have installed all the necessary drivers automatic.
Poslano sa mog ZP980 koristeći Tapatalk 4
I had problems with eroot and the drivers on Win7.
But the method from the OP (Framaroot) worked for me great.
Just copied the file, installed the app. After that just opened, selected SuperSU and Boromir exploit). After that reboot and I have now root (already eliminated this annoying bootsound)
Thanks for the tip!

Hello Topicmates,
could you please provide me a step-by-step guide how to come back to factory state of the phone. I have a ZP980 2GB/32GB version.
I have rooted with framaroot, everything was ok. After that I have OTA updated with the latest update and now all the google apps are force closing. Therefore I want to revert back to Stock ROM and after it OTA update (an thereafter root again).
What do I need for that? Should I try at first simple factory reset?

The bootloader can't be unlock at the moment. Asus is known for giving the tools to unlock the bootloader. So its matter of time to have the tools to unlock it.
Asus just released the unlock tool for the ZenFone 3 so the tool for the Deluxe can't be far off. Maybe this tool will work for the Deluxe??

Hey there I posted this under "rooted":
Hey, just went onto ASUS global & US website and saw that there is an unlock bootloader utility for the ZS550KL (updated 11-Nov-2016) but not one for the ZS570KL. Does this matter, since both phones are "Deluxe"? If not, any assistance to unlock bootloader and root the ZS570KL. Thanks!
Any help or feedback, greatly appreciated.

Fairly new to rooting phones and this question is due to my inexperience, but if the phones are both considered "Zenfone 3 Deluxe" what does the size have to do with it? Thanks for explaining.

well according to the this link here ... https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-3-Deluxe-ZS570KL/HelpDesk_Download/ (This is for 5.7 and there is no show of bootloader)
however this link here https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-3-Deluxe-ZS550KL/HelpDesk_Download/ (shows a bootloader unlock for the 5.5 version)
We need developers to jump on this darn phone and get it going somehow, if there is anyway possible to get their attention on it. I was able to tweak my phone a bit more with the startup manger (free) from google play to get more ram space.

This is untrue. The 5.5 has the SD625, and the 64GB 5.7 has the SD820 and the 256GB 5.7" Special Edition has the SD821.
While it could be possible that a bootloader unlock tool for the SD820 could be used on the SD821 (but maybe not) because the architecture is essentially the same, an unlock tool for the SD625 most certainly would not be as it is a completely different processor.
I know we seen this answer before, but this is what i got from them.... https://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-120584-1-1.html
I emailed Asus support and got this as a response:
Me: "When can the bootloader unlock utility be expected to be released?"
Them: "Unfortunately ASUS does not actually asssit with unlocking of the Android Bootloader. I must advise that you do so at your own risk, as once the boot loader is unloked it will void your warranty. But we will transfer customers' wishes to the related department for further development."
Edit: I prodded them further and received this in response:
"I have transferred your wish to our Product department, but temporary the accurate time the unlock tool for this Zenfone 3 Deluxe model would be released couldn't be ensured."
Which I believe means: 'We can't give an official release time yet.'
There is a "petition" in Asus 's Taiwan forum requesting an official bootloader unlocked tool and the thread is marked "under active review" by representative of Asus. No ETA is given though and the thread is in Chinese. If you are also interested and want to give it a little more push you could leave English message there.

Hey, thanks for the explanation. I did not even consider looking at the specs (chipset) to see if there was a difference between the 2 models. I just thought they were the same phone just size of screen difference and/or less storage. Forgot they also release a 820 model.
At least you can get to the heart of the menu of the recovery, just can't do much there either. Thanks to a lucky source right here.... been trying find out how to do this...
https://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-120913-1-1.html
1.) Turn off phone completely
2.) press power button and volume down at same time and hold it untill you see an android logo with an "!" with the android logo that says "no command". when you see the logo release all buttons.
3.) Now, press and hold power button first and then quickly press volume Up. You will then see the options including wipe cache.

Is there any hope for Pixel XL - G-2PW2100 - Android 8.0 to be Bootloader Unlocked

Hello Gurus,
As the subject says, I made the mistake of a hasty ebay purchase for a black 128GB XL running Android 8.0 Build OPR3.170623.007. I was happy with the thought of making it my primary music machine by enabling the Apt-X HD codec and pairing with in-car Apt-HD receiver for car AUX speakers. Wanted to install ARISE Audio to be able to pump up the sound quality.
Found out that model no. G-2PW2100 is actual the Verizon/Project Fi model which is beyond any salvation attempts now.
However all of it turned out to be a pipe dream, when i started with the basics on rooting, to unlock the boot loader. Found out the OEM boot loader unlocking option in Developer settings is greyed out and it will not accept the ADB commands
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
or
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
anymore.
The command
Code:
adb shell getprop ro.boot.cid
returns
Code:
VZW__001
If it would have been 7.0.x then I could have tried dePixel8 , however that not a possibly anymore.
Having read all over the forum for various posts, can I conclude there is no solution as of now and it is an expensive paper weight for the time being, or is it any ray of hope move forward to.
Thanks for your answers.
Their is no solution as of now sunshine team don't have any plans to attempt an unlock for newer than 7.1

Thanks, you verified my worst fears. So money lost, time to write off this sunk cost from personal accounts.
Would keep a lookout for a workable unit now, till then will try to sell it off.
Thanks.
I mean, it's still a pixel. It'll get updates for awhileeeeeee.

You mean the bootloader for G-2PW2100 - 128GB - 8.0 can be unlocked. Has someone used this service. Do i have to send my mobile or the solution would be provided online.
Would be nice if you can PM with the link to the actual service.
On the other hand, I guess only taobao is the place where I can see Pixel XL 128 with Android version 7.1 sold, as they are not to be found on US/UK ebay.
A couple of queries I need to know to pin point the exact replacement I am looking for:
1. I assume the model should be either G-2PW2100 (either verizon or google) <= ROM 7.1 or a G-2PW2200 (any service provider) with any ROM version till 8.1.
2. Can a G-2PW2100 <= 7.1 once having a bootloader unlocked, be upgraded to 8.0 and above, and keep having the BL unlocked. If once after unlock, it is locked again either on the same ROM version or upgraded to higher ROM version, would it still be possible to unlock it again.
3. Any possible link or direction where an unlocked 128GB XL is available for purchase.
Thanks for your replies.

Well thanks, has anyone tried it to be really working for Verizon Pixel XL. Any success reports.
The website which opens from your URL has a clunky UX, I cannot select and get to know any service details, even with translation. If i select an option with 150Yuan, it takes me back to a webpage where no further journey to go.
Purchasing on Taobao anyways aint possible for me as the whole process and interface is in chinese, and I dont know if they accept international credit card.
Would like to know more information about it.
====================================
Got it, the URL is for the mobile version of the Taobao website, hence strange display on PC. Am trying to search it via PC.

Ok so what I am able to gather is these services are for XL running 7.1.x , and mine is already updated to 8.0 ,so cant say for sure it will work or not. For 7.1.x we dont need a paid service, it was already doable by DePixel8 if I am not wrong.
Thanks.

Thats my assumption as well, however trying to get in touch with TaoBao seller to see what miracle they offer.
Thanks.
I'm pretty sure that even if you downgrade to 7.1, the security patch level would render the dePixel exploit useless. As far as I know, you can't downgrade security patch levels.
Try selling it on Swappa and then buy a Google version off the site.
Please do keep us posted on the TaoBao mission because if it is possible to still do this I am very interested as well... I went on the site to that link and hit the translation on my Chrome browser via laptop and I couldn't make out everything it was informing of but I thought I saw something about it was illegal to ship or prohibited for the goods in my region... I live in the eastern shore of the US... what gives? I am not giving up so easily. I would sell the phone but I am my family's plan and i just pay them cash every month.. so I am sort of stuck with the phone atm myself as well..
Anyways... good luck to all who are still fishing around for an exploit.
Well, i called quits for the TaoBao mission, was a pipe dream anyways. I was able to sell it for a good price. So case closed for making any mistake like this again without reading enough around on the forum about which exact model to buy for my rooting/vipering adventures.
Have another query in mind , will post a new thread for it, while on the hunt for a Google branded set.

Forum structure

Hi,
for a couple of weeks now I am regularly visiting this forum in order to see what's going on around the LG v30. What I found hard in the beginning was to understand which information e.g. in the WTF thread really applies to my device, because oftentimes postings need to differentiate between instructions for H930, H932, H998 etc. And I also have often seen people installing a ROM meant for only one or a few of the v30 version on another v30 variant, e.g. ROMs for only H930 getting installed on H932 or so, where it is not working. And even more often I have seen the question which v30 variant people are using when someone else is posting questions about problems on his/her device here. Therefore I wonder whether it might make sense to include separate boards for variants of the v30, like it was done for e.g. the LG G6 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6. In that forum the vast majority of the threads are about the main variant (H870 for the G6) while sub-forums exist for the T-Mobile, the Verizon and other variants of the LG G6. While I was active in that board I have much less seen confusion about instructions for one G6 variant getting applied on another variant (which of course may also be for different reasons than the board structure). So it perhaps could also be helpful for the v30 forum.
Is that a good idea?

Uhmm... have you read the Root Sticky Guide? It pretty much explains everything but people don't read it.
We don't need subforums for different variants, as there's not that much difference.
For the most part all ROMs are compatible with all variants. All "H930" ROMS are just "V30" ROMs.
The only exception is the new Android 10 ROMs, which are not compatible H932 yet.
Again the Root Sticky explains the differences.

The G6 is different. LG messed up with that phone, for instance having regionalized specs (some have quad DAC, some have Qi wireless charging, some have none of those). The V30 is what the G6 should have been.
Some people have asked for dedicated threads to root their specific variant, instead of the WTF thread -- because they don't want to go through the "decision tree" structure (if you A, do B, if you have X, go to Y) -- but I'm not creating 20 different threads when the procedure is basically the same for all!
1) you get onto early Oreo firmware ware with fastboot flash commands
2) you unlock your bootloader
The only real outlier among the V30 is the T-mobile H932. It has a different method of root due to totally different RSA encryption and they don't have fastboot flash commands. But of all the North American variants (except for T-mobile H932) you can cross flash firmware willy nilly and convert one to another: US998, LS998, H933, H931, VS995, AS998, and even H932PR (Puerto Rico).
For the H930 variants, same thing: H930, H930D, H930DS, H930G. The only difference is the modems on those do not change, unlike the North American variants. You can't add/remove LTE bands on the H930 variants.
But all the LOS-16 ROMS are compatible with ALL the variants, so having sub-forums would make people think they need one particular variant to run an "H930" when they don't. They sometimes think that even now because they do NOT read. They will say, "Where's the US998 ROMs?" They are all "US998" ROMs!

I am having the H930 with unlocked bootloader but not rooted. I found that the sticky thread on rooting, https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/help/unlocking-rooting-twrp-magisk-step-step-t3745006, indeed gives a good rundown on how to unlock (and root). What first confused me was the WTF thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76584629&postcount=193, which I stumbled across first and which IIRC I read at least twice until I realized that for my H930 there must be a much simpler way, such as for the LG G6. And such a way is described in the sticky thread. So I should correct my initial posting here, because it was not the sticky thread on rooting but the WTF that made be confused. But anyway, the idea of adding sub forums doesn't seem to be as good as I thought.

ROOT YOUR V30!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/how-to/root-v30-t3927154
This is the root sticky thread I was talking about. Start with Post #1. That's the thread everyone should read. It explains about unlocking bootloader, rooting, and custom roms for ALL variants.
The thread that you mention is outdated. It has old TWRP, and root check/encryption disabler files. I do not suggest using that for actual rooting. The WTF thread is current.
In fact if you look at the final few posts of the thread you mention it says several times to go use the WTF thread and not that one.
The thread you mention is really only for bootloader unlock for those variants which can receive official bootloader unlock. Which are 2.25: EU H930, H93OG and only one minor flavor US998. Whereas WTF covers every variant in the world (except for T-Mobile H932) -- for bootloader unlock, TWRP Installation, root.

IMHO rooting should be done with a specific need, e.g. wanting to use Magisk or so. At the moment I have no such need. That's why I - for the moment - only did the step of unlocking my V30.

This is one of the symptoms that let me get to the conclusion that some more structure would be helpful. That thread you mentioned above links to two other threads, one for the T-Mobile variant, one for all other variants. The latter one again has instructions for many V30 device types. IMHO multiple sticky threads with partially outdated or perhaps even contradictory content are not really helpful. And IMHO very long thread postings that want to combine a couple of V30 variants with all of their special needs may be hard to understand and may lead to problems when people don't understand them correctly and then apply instructions that are not correct for their device. Don't get me wrong: I'm glad the WTF thread exists, I just found it hard to digest.

The two sticky threads I wrote are current. The thread you reference was before WTF was discovered and ONLY apply to a couple variants who are eligible for "official" LG bootloader unlock only. Don't try to root with that, especially on Pie. It's outdated, incomplete with the files you need to flash.
By using official LG code you also waived your warranty.
(I did that with one of my phones, the 64GB Open Market US998 -- only US998 variant eligible. The Open Market US998 V30+ and V30S not eligible, nor the U.S. Cellular V30 and V30+. Of the FIVE US998 variants, only ONE is eligible and it has the smallest internal memory.)
WTF is the preferred method and everyone (except T-Mobile H932) has used it for the past 1.5 years.
There's like 20 different V30/V30+/V30S) variants and except for T-Mobile H932, they can ALL use the WTF exploit -- where you don't need LG permission to own your phone. The T-Mobile H932 root thread (@runningnsk3d) is also current.
I'll always be rooted if I can. I want to "own" my phone, not the OEM/carrier.
By unlocking your bootloader and NOT rooting yet (so you can hide bootloader unlock status in Magisk Hide), your phone will fail Safety Net check. That may not be important to you, but depends on the banking or gaming apps you use...
Now that your phone is bootloader unlocked, you can go to the WTF instructions and skip down to the TWRP Installation and Root section to start from there.
Good to know, thanks
I knew about the banking side effects of rooting (not being able to use Google pay and such) I hadn't thought about the effect on games
As someone new to the forum I get what Eschelion is saying, there is outdated and contradictory information, the WTF thread alone has over 3,500 posts and links or stickies to other threads it's a lot to try and keep straight
Not saying someone needs to fix it or do anything about, someone already spent the time and energy figuring all this out and sharing the information
(I'm thankful for that and those that choose to help the people with questions) it would be nice if finding the information (that each person in particular) was looking for was simpler, that would be great but with the variety of hardware and software and how quickly information becomes outdated or incorrect it's unrealistic to ask for more
Look at the sheer number of threads on this forum already, it's mind boggling to think of the amount of hours that have been put in.
If another thread was created to walk you through from start to finish for the V30 (excluding the 1-off T-Mobile) that would be great (really it would I'm one of the people they would greatly benefit from that [emoji28]) Chazzz seems to be the in house specialist on the LGV30 (only one who's responded to V30 questions at least) maybe Eschelion or myself can create and help maintain such a thread after we learn what we're doing, with the admins permission sense that seems close if not directly redundant thread (depending on your point of view)
I'd be happy to help with such a thread once I know what I'm doing of course lol

Just to clarify, there is NO contradictory nor outdated information in the WTF INSTRUCTIONS. It's been updated frequently. I had to rewrite a whole section to make it also work for Pie, besides adding Pie compatible files you need to flash.
And the WTF Instructions are really all you need. (Except for T-Mobile H932). Yeah, we have no control over other posts from a year ago, etc. But especially more recent ones can be good information resource -- even if just to convince people they don't need to ask the same questions again and again.
If you READ the WTF instructions you will successfully unlock bootloader and root your phone. This includes the dozen Troubleshooting Tips everyone likes to ignore.
If I ever started a new WTF instructions thread, I would copy and paste exactly what I have now as post #1. or at least post #2... And move the intro part to be post #1.

Just goes to show how little I know
I must game gotten my threads mixed up because I thought the need to get an LG account was still written in one of the original posts (to get your phones .bin number) but I've read in more recent posts that's no longer necessary, I was also under the impression that pie want working, at least not well on the V30 yet, waiting on possible DNZ files or something.
I meant no disrespect to the work you've done and didn't mean to write or spread misinformation.
I'm definitely going to read more and stick to asking questions for now

You are probably thinking of the outdated "Wotta" Instructions I told this thread creator not to use, which was ever ONLY for those very few variants that are eligible for LG bootloader unlock code.
I have no control over that thread. Once WTF was discovered (May 2018) it superseded those instructions. They were for specific purpose (official bootloader unlock only). In my WTF instructions, I do say to go thank Wotta because I give him credit for screenshots I used and his Instructions were well written for the intended purpose.
But those Wotta instructions are ONLY for bootloader unlocking with official LG code, and even then not for current rooting/TWRP installation.
The Root Sticky Guide I wrote points people either to WTF exploit instructions (every variant except T-Mobile H932 ) or the T-Mobile H932 Root thread. (T-Mobile root was created by @runningnak3d in August 2018.)
Between the two methods, ALL V30 variants are covered.

This is the root sticky thread I was talking about. Start with Post #1. That's the thread everyone should read and follow. It explains about unlocking bootloader, rooting, and custom roms for ALL variants.

You are probably thinking of the outdated Instructions I told this thread creator not to use, which was ever ONLY for those very few variants that were eligible for LG bootloader unlock code.
I have no control over that thread. Once WTF was discovered (May 2018) it superceded those instructions.

Hi,
for a couple of weeks now I am regularly visiting this forum in order to see what's going on around the LG v30.

It appears as though you have what you need now, so I'm going to close this thread as this section is intended for discussing the LG V30, not the structure of XDA.

General Color OS on Non-Chinese (LE21X0) variant 9R/9/9Pro

I contacted the staff of OnePlus to inquire about this question. They said that the degraded conversion package is only for CN variant. They don't think it's a problem and won't solve it.
So I'm trying to port it into the non Chinese variant of the device, because I don't have enough money to buy the EU variant OnePlus 9 (I need it to study the difference between the Non-CN variant and the Chinese variant, because the European variant is cheaper, so I plan to buy this variant), the research progress will be very slow.
At present, I have designed three plans:
1. Make changes to the firmware on the device to fit the degraded package.
2. Using the MsmDownloadTool of ColorOS to flash. (I'm responsible for remote operation, so it can't be used as a long-term solution)
3. Extract the ColorOS firmware out of the raw image to flash. (may die in partition problems, and should not apply to 9R)
4. (This plan has been abandoned, because the signature can not be forged, and it is too troublesome to adapt to each different model) Make changes to the degraded package to adapt to the hardware of different regions.
Due to the above reasons, I can't test and implement plan 1 and 3. I have found a brave 9 Pro India user to test plan 2 and wait for the good news.
I'm going to launch crowdfunding in the near future. If you have extra funds and want to try ColorOS, please support me.
If you want to provide the device for testing (it doesn't necessarily succeed and the device will not be returned regardless of the results), you can also contact me.
If you want to apply for the remote test scheme, I will be happy to accept it. However, please note that no matter what the result is, I am not responsible for any impact of the remote test on your device, and the device may lose its warranty; Since I am still a high school student, I will only provide remote testing service in my spare time (China, GMT+8, Asia/Shanghai).

Before you commence to create a respective thread I'd like to precautionarily make you aware that crowdfunding is not allowed and accepted on XDA.
Thanks very much.

P.S. I've removed all the placeholder ("reserved") posts. This is not a development thread, in which we accept those for the owner of such a thread.

Just let me know when it's time to post such results, and I'm going to reinstate them - or you get even more.

I have browsed and visited community forums in China because they are used to publishing articles like this. What's more interesting is that some of the respondents responded casually with a few words. They are called water stickers, there are thousands of water stickers in a thread

What specifically was the problem? And like lsd3k asked, can you provide a link to msm?

I put the package in the update channel. It seems to apply only to LE2120 CN variant. That's why I need a EU 9 to study the differences
It's not msm tool for unbrick. It's just downgrade package.

On your telegram channel you only have the downgrade package. In your OP you suggest you have the MsmDownloadTool for ColorOS. Would you be able to publish that?
