[Solved} Hard brick sprint v50 , I need a dump of all partitions of a sprint v50 - LG V50 ThinQ Guides, News, & Discussion

I accidentally erased all partitions in partition manager of QFIL , so the phone wouldn't even turn on , no download mode ,no EDL mode no fastboot , no nothing , so I saw a post somewhere in G8 forums and I followed it , I basically opened the back cover and connected the two gold plate pluses with a tweezer and connected to PC and it wend to EDL 9008 mode, all partitions are there but they are empty , so I need a dump of all partitions of a sprint v50 , I would be forever grateful.

I unbricked my phone using all rawprogram xml files from this sprint V50 dump, but one thing to notice to select all xml files and flash them ,not one by one , and you will boot system eventually.

first of all you need to be patient with it, and you will eventaully be able to boot to system
you need rawprogram for your variant , there is telegram group for LG V50 maybe you can find rawprogram for your variant, I think this guide is your best bet of restoring your phone , do everything step by step , if your are stuck at something google is your friend , believe me I learned everything this way , I hope you restore your device soon
Edit:
if you are able to enter edl mode, then give the above sprint backup a try and see if it helps, use rawprogram to flash

Sort of stuck here, manage to use the Raw file to flash back to this version. It completed successfully. Still not able to boot. Upon restart after loading all files in "v50unbrickbackup" my phone, Sprint v50, tries to boot and after initial splash screen just repeatedly flashes the splash screen. I have no boot or recovery but do have file download mode. But since there's no KDZ for this phone I'm a bit stump.
Before funning the Raw file loads I was able to get into fastboot but it was very unusual in that it didn't say which was the active slot. I tried all fastboot commands to try and set the active boot slot but no go. Weird message about can't set slot on unlock BL. This was an Unlock BL phone, now who knows.
My thought are the phone just doesn't know where to boot from. is the a Laf or Op problem?
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have this problem with mi V50 Sprint variant.

yes if you have verizon v50 you can flash verizon kdz , it works with a patched LGUP which you can find in G8 forums somewhere, you're welcome.

the unbrickbackup is from a sprint , so it should definitely work for your device , but you might need to give the rawprogram a couple of tries to get it to work , I hope it works for you.

Nah, it never had anything to do with using the Raw0 thru 6 to restore the partitions. That worked. The problem was somehow I corrupted my FTM partition which is a killer during the boot process. I would get the original splash screen and the then the splash screen would just start flashing. I would have never found it if I hadn't paid $14 to have the phones restored via Medusa 2.2 pro/Russian dude. He restored the entire phone but when it start to "Splash Screen flash" again he new exactly what it was. He loaded the FTM partition with a copy he had and boom, it booted right up.
I now have a working v450pm, boot unlocked, twrped and root. Did I read somewhere that you flashed one of the A11 roms? If so how's it working? Recommend one?

I'm glad you finally got your phone up and running again, I recommend making a backup of all partitions in case something goes wrong again , and make sure you save the backup on google drive or something , because it may get corrupted overtime.
I tried most roms available for v50, but I think Evolution X is most stable of them, it was really smooth and fast, but I haven't test out everything, I only installed it to see how was the experience then went back to stock.

Were you able to activate on a US mobile network ie tmobile or att? Don't know if you're in the States.
I tried the CrossFlash rom here: forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-crossflash-v450pm-to-v500em-android-11.4342455/#post-85790865
But it doesn't seem be able to actually logon to a mobile network. One guy said he got data on Verizon but couldn't make a call. I had the same problem with Google Fi. I had data temporarily but couldn't make a call and now it won't even get data.

I have the ls990 and can definitely tell you that the ls990-G3 variant is in fact very different from the other g3 variants out. Different partition sizes/mount points. I found out by flashing ls990/d855/us990/vz990/etc an all inclusive supposedly rom. which has now zeroed my carrier out. after flashing stock tot unlocking rooting flash custom twrp i proceeded to flash the separate stock partitions in twrp to boot reboot twrp flashed my rom and now atleast have it running again, now at the part where i im/chat with a tech to get my spc/msl to edit my mdn/min the last part recover my esn, meid/hexmeid from the sticker behind the phone battery. if all goes well i should be back to where i started.

open phone . take out mother board .. and read plaque model. if sprint flash sprint KDZ and LGUP. if H815 then do that .. thats the only way to be sure.
U have a refurbished model.Go to nearest mobile repair shop & take out your motherboard to see what model no is written on this. Then flash a rom accoringly. Don't flash any other rom just by assuming else you will brick your device.
Yes my phone is refurbished...
But how to flash the rom?
If I found it to be a sprint version and flash a sprint rom ...it will be locked?I am using phone in India...
Any chance to root the phone and install twrp?
Then flash a custom rom?

Most probably it will be locked cause most higher Android versions LG has blocked rooting or unlocking..But you can always browse few threads.
Mine is also a refurbished model with F500L motherboard,LS911 body & had H815 global rom installed out of the box.I am currently on F500L Nougat locked & unrooted..I have tried almost every method. It failed to root & even to enter fast boot.
If you get your proper model no on motherboard then just flash the rom with ToT flasher in download mode with respective DLL.

Any idea's?
Pick the phone, and send it to the place where you bought it. If you have warranty the repair is free, if not, then you must pay sadly.
Still no solution, I even cannot enable OEM unlock under developer options...
It automatically disables it...
Please help
Just experienced this issue after changing sim card... Call and Camera stopped working over and over again.
How I solved it: Go to the specific app that is causing you trouble, and clear cache/files (too bad I only found this after 3 factory resets).
Maybe it will help ... LG G4 CAM

Was on oreo and did flash all to 7.1 by mistake.

So I was on Oreo and accidentally flashed back to 7.1.
Didn't brick it but now it doesn't recognize my sim even after flashing back to Oreo.
I tried to fastboot the tmo baseband but no luck there.
Anyone run across this or have any suggestions?
That was one of the 1st thing I ran across in the Oreo update thread. With development just really getting fired up I'll be surprised if you find a fix. If. I was you I would flash the mod that hides the unlocked bootloader warning and take it to TMobile. It's only a 5 dollor charge for defective devices. I've returned a total brick before.
So I am on the same board. The problem is I'm in UK and I cant claim warranty repair. Also my warranty was void in December soon when I generated bootloader unlock key.
SO what have I tried so far?
Hard brick bootloader to state when it is Qualcomm loader- only blank flash and Oreo Flash All is able to bring it back to live.
Ive also tried boot from B slot in twrp but it looks like my B partition is messed up. Fastboot will show red warning about no flashable A/B slot and only oreo flash can get it back to boot because it will oem lock itself.
When I get back fully on unlocked bootloader to 7.1.1 I cant update via adb sideload or update menu in settings. Both will fail.
Sim looks like it is detected on start but when taken out and slided back in it wont show up.
I have QCN area backed up with nv data but it wont help me.
Please note when boot is bricked oreo flash all will flash it on locked bootloader and will not show warning screen at all about botloader. However I was unable to boot to recovery from that point so I had to unlock it and flash 7.1.1 then oreo again.
So if someone could do nandroid backup of clear not set up rom it would be great. I can try restore it. I dont even know if twrp is able to do backup on A/B device.
Also if someone could read NV data from phone and share it ( from phone with working radio of course) would be really appreciated.
Can someone PM me NV backup? I need urgently qcn file. I think my hw partition is messed up. Please don't share it in this post as it can contain IMEI.
this is what i did, and why there is a giant post in caps in the thread that says not to do this. You essentially end up with a bootloader mismatch which hoses the radio. the only solution is a replacement.
and DONT DOWNGRADE !!!

Sorry but warning isn't clear. I did not enjoy Oreo and was looking for unlock method.
Also bootloader match to my current Oreo rom and radio but still no sim detected so I think it is hw partition messed up. When I flash retail Oreo on it bootloader just change itself to retail Oreo version. Still no sim.
Device is useable as paperweight with WiFi
I think I've found a way to unbrick your phones guys!
If someone still has their bricked phone could they tell me what state they're in? I managed to successfully unbrick mines but had to stay on 8.0
Everything about the phone works 100% except the Sim slot. It's like it can't read the Sim. It knows there is a sim in, but it can't access it.
On Oreo oem retail version.

I'm happy to stay on 8 but need my sim get back to life. All works fine except SIM card is not detected.
My phone boot as normal. When downgraded it won't accept ota's. It won't install it via sideload too. SIM card remain undetected no matter what rom and what version( T-Mobile, retail, etc) when I try to boot from slot B via twrp it won't boot. It will show bootloader screen with unbootable a/B partition.

Not OP, or guy with a link, but I did a similar bad thing and ended up on the retail Oreo without working SIM. What I did was take the modem file (the one that you fastboot flash to modem) from the tmo oreo zip and replaced the modem file in the retail oreo zip with the tmo one -- just change the name of the tmo modem file to the one that comes in the retail oreo zip and then run the retail flashall.
Still no way to get the latest tmo update that fixes some volte issues, though. Since I purchased within 14 days, I just added insurance and will probably end up drowning the phone to replace it... unless someone has a better idea. :/

from the tmo oreo zip here (bottom of the OP):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force/development/how-to-install-oreo-ota-t3726932
it's the NON-HLOS file
this is the retail oreo:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75250794&postcount=82
I swapped the NONHLOS file from the tmo oreo into the retail oreo and I currently have working tmo service/SIM on the retail (tmo-less) oreo

Can't flash any kdz/tot after unbricking deadboot H810 with 9008 QFIL trick.

Hello and Good Day to everyone.
I have a problem with my LG G4 (H810) . At first it was not booting at all (no power), so i tried the unbricking trick (QFIL+shorting the two points in the motherboard). I got through with it successfully. I then proceeded to the download mode. My next step was to flash an H810 KDZ. First, i used LG UP and got invalid tots on all H810 roms i've tried (Puerto Rico and AT&T). I looked at my phone's screen and i noticed the line "LS991ZVA". I then tried LG FLASH TOOL 2014 it gave a download error saying (LS991-->H810). I also tried LGFlashTool-2.0.1.6 and it still says download error at the end. Is this still repairable?
PS:
There's was one point when i looked at the screen and instead of LS991ZVA at the bottom, it showed H815AT_(i forgot what's next). I tried flashing an H815 kdz and it didnt show that invalid tot but the new error showed "antirollback". I was rushing to work so i wasnt able to download a newer H815 kdz. I tried to recreate that scenario in the office but now i'm stuck in LS991ZVA line again. I don't know what i did made that H815AT_ line show in download mode.
Hope anyone can help. Thank you.

Can I ask how you got the H810? It sounds like you may have a frankenstein device (one model motherboard with a different firmware flashed)
Maybe @steadfasterX knows more

It was sold to me by a friend for 16 dollars because the phone wont turn on anymore. My original plan was to only take the Screen Assembly because I also have a G4 (H818P) but the screen already has bubbles at the sides and sometimes ghost touches happen and also there's that annoying temporary screen burn-in effect everytime i stay on an image for too long. I tried to take everything apart and put my H818 motherboard onto the H810. When i turned it on, the screen don't show anything and the notification led flashes (light blue) and the phone would then turn off. Right now, i'm trying to repair the H810 so that atleast i can make it my main phone.

congrats.. regardless of your real model you converted your device!
QFIL is nothing an average user should ever do as long as not guided by someone..
what you see in download mode, recovery and android is just software so even when you see IOS v22 there it doesnt mean anything.
what u see in fastboot is true, you have converted your device to a LS991
the very first thing before flashing again random stuff or even worse using QFIL again is: identify your real model (even when now converted).
the only way to do so is to disassemble the device and look whats written on the front of the mainboard (sounds harder then it actually is)
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/LG+G4+Motherboard+Replacement/51202
Then when you KNOW what you really have we can proceed
.
Okay got it. My original plan was really not to fix it but only to reuse its screen on my H818P (unfortunately, i think it's incompatible). I will look into it (mainboard) when i get home. Thanks Mr. SteadfasterX

yep classical Frankenstein. you have a F500 refurbished with a H810 firmware.
you flashed with QFIL the malware LS991 files (yes its known that they are named for several models but many contain the same files - which converts all to LS991).
LS991 has ARB (atm you have an ARB of 2)
F500 and H815 dont have ARB
you cant flash any firmware lower then ARB 2 and so you can never flash F500, H815 or H812 ROMs anymore! (and do not even think about flashing a firmware with an ARB of 3 or higher!)
For getting mobile network signal you need a successfully loaded modem which will never happen anymore as you increased the ARB. that means even when you get your device back to work you will be only able to use it as a tablet (WiFi, BT etc will do but no calling, sms, mobile internet)
ARB? --> https://bit.do/antirollg4
you can bring back life back to this device by:
1) flashing a LS991 rom (ensure you use ARB 2 only)
2) MAYBE !! flashing a H811 rom (as H810 bootloaders are compatible with h811) but ensure you use ARB 2 firmwares only !
If that works: congrats! you can now unlock by a fastboot command and thats your best chance to maybe even get mobile signal back! (no one ever tested that though)
3) you may try to flash H810 10o which has an ARB of 2 and is also a very good chance to bring back life to your device - maybe well I would say very likely the best one!
4) flashing the partions system , modem and boot of any ROM (yes even of a f500,h810,h815... as these single partitions do not increase your ARB) you like within fastboot (yes you can now flash there bc of .. that would take too long. I know you will be able to do so as I use parts of it in UsU)

Should i try from 1 to 5 sir if which one will work? or Should i try (3) first since it's the best one. Also, which one would i use to flash, LG UP or the lastest LG Flash Tool? Thank you.
Is it also possible sir that an H810 screen is not compatible with my H818? If I wont be able to use it as a normal phone, i might as well use it's screen on my H818P. I did try but there's no image. The notification lights only flashes color light blue and then the phone powers off (takes 15-20 seconds after clicking the power button).

yes. the screen for the h818 is incompatible with the h810 one as the h818 uses a different panel then all other 10 g4 models..

Why not using Wi-Fi? At least for the moment. No you can't flash the f500 modem partition because it has arb of 0
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs

Yes I hexedited the H810 10o tot because it's the only way to flash it in LG UP as LGUP is detecting my phone as H81510C. So i just replaced 1 line in H810 10o into H81510c.
My problem is i need to bypass the email verification screen. I don't know the email that is associated with this phone. Most of the youtube videos i've seen on how to bypass is they use emergency call. When i try it, the phone just says "turning radio on". Any other way to bypass that email verification screen without the use of emergency call? Thanks
@steadfasterX i wasnt able to bypass the email verification but i was able to go to the settings menu. Is it safe to update this phone to marshmallow? It's currently on 5.1 Lollipop. Maybe it will increase ARB so might be a bad idea.

LM-G710V going back to stock possible?

Hi!
I have this G7 with the model LM-G710V with an unlocked bootloader and managed to successfully flash Phh-Treble by following this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/development/rom-phh-aosp-8-1-t3808649 :victory:
but then i would like to convert back to stock but unfortunately there are no available KDZ for G710V in the interweb.
would it be possible to convert G710V to G710EM ,or to a similar effect, by flashing 10b Vendor img and boot img then the kdz found in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/development/dump-g7-stock-vendor-t3840834 ?
or would this just leave me with a dead bricked phone?
additional notes:
bought this phone as a secondhand from someone in facebook with the bootloader unlocked and with, as the seller stated, "G7+" rom with issues.
no backup was made before
Thank you for anyone willing to answer! :good::fingers-crossed:

Hello @xElouise, according to the LG Open Source Code Distribution website (here), the G710V is equivalent to:
G710VM
G710AWM
G710AWMH
G710VMP
G710VMX
KDZs from any of the models above should work fine, just note that they may come with carrier bloatware. Reflashing the stock firmware is the same as any other G7 version (here, up to the first half step 5).
Does your phone have an IMEI code and working telephony? Because from the info I have gathered on the internet, looks like the G710V is a retail demo unit without either baseband or IMEI.
Hey there! Thanks for the reply!
Unfortunately since after flashing Phh-Treble LGUP does not recognize the phone anymore (Shows up as Unknown)(maybe because i flashed the vendor img(?) idk.)
Anyway, since back then before flashing Phh-Treble i was already trying to flash KDZs Thru LGUP, but unfortunately LGUP throws me error saying it does not support cross flashing.
I have tested the following before:
G710VM - LGUP Error cant cross flash G710V to G710VM
G710AWM - LGUP Error cant cross flash G710V to G710
G710VMX - LGUP Error cant cross flash G710V to G710
This unit IMEI & Baseband says unknown. This also has the white sticker at the back with some of it's details like unit model, FCC Id, etc.

It says " Notice: Can not connect. disconnect the USB cable from your computer and reconnect" done this multiple times, even swapped usb cables with other phone

You can contact the guy that sold the phone to you and see if he has a dump. Otherwise I can pack the system and the vendor but I'm not 100% sure if it will work
Hi, is your unit the demo unit one, without phone function and with retail mode app? Did you encounter any issues with the flashed ROM so you're changing again? I managed to land one of those demo units but there's too much restriction for usage so I was thinking of flashing another ROM but I'm a complete noob with regards to that.
Thanks.

@LameMonster82 , The seller said that he bought it off someone when it has boot loop issues and have his buddy fix it for him & he does not have any backup (guess that makes me a third hand(?) not really affected by it since i got the unit for a dirt cheap price around <$100 and it's quite a smooth unit too).
If you could, in your spare time of course, make the pack that would be really much appreciated! Thank you very much!
@ceezae , This may be a demo unit since i got it without any sim functions and a blank IMEI. I don't know about retail mode, though there was an widget applet before which showcases LG G7's features. I already bought the unit with it's boot loader already unlocked so I have no idea how a G710V got unlocked. When i bought the unit it does not have any audio at all either thru the headphone or speaker that's why i flashed a custom rom.
Anyway , since I flashed Phh-Treble 8.1 the phone's working smoothly aside from the aforementioned bugs in this thread
I am going back to stock since i can not utilize the quad DAC feature in custom rom and I could not get Gcam to work (it either crash or extremely Laggy)
I would also like to mention that:
I can not seem to boot to recovery via (Vol down + Power button) it always say that "Factory Reset is Disabled by Kill Switch" even though OEM Unlock is ticked in the developer settings as well as unsynced Google Account.
And my internal storage is showing that I only have 16 GB of internal (would be easy to fix with TWRP but again no luck with custom recovery)

Hi there!
I am terribly sorry but my device is kinda a bit soft bricked(?) at the moment.
I was trying to flash the Stock Korean PIE KDZ and was successful but it had problems like WIFI can not be turned on and Random Reboots.
I think I also have lost access to Fastboot since the phone only Reboots itself normally.
My dumb self did not make a backup so I am a bit screwed at the moment.
Someone with an intact phone (which hasn't been flashed) will have to pack up their partitions and post it here. The G710V seems to be technically similar to the G710N but can't actually be flashed to a G710N (you can force this through using LGUP but it results in a phone that crashes all the time due to some issue with the wifi driver).

Hey, I tried backing up these via adb shell myself on my G10V but... "permission denied". Great. Probably because the demo units force a Retail Mode device administrator that you can't remove at all. Can't even access the page itself in Settings ("you are not authorized..." blah blah). It's a shame, because I was really looking forward to helping OP.
