thanks for your work on this project, sir. working perfectly here. one request, can you add offline charging animation?

hi and tnx for that rom. i was able to finally install it and it works very well, except that after installing latest orangefox, now im not able to go to recovery mode if pressing volume up+ power (or usb cable connected).
is that a problem with orangefox or i made some mistake? is also a way to get rid of the warning message when powering on the phone? by far everithing from the rom works just fine and tnx for that great support.
edit: ok did another flash today and here are the steps and try i did:
1) i boot into download mode and flashed tvirus again. after that it boot to twrp and from internal storage i flashed orangefox. after that i boot in recovery and orangefox started. on orangefox i wiped data, then installed your custom rom gapps and if i reboot rom start just fine, but i lose the orangefox recovery mode. if i install rom then orangefox on boot partition, i can only boot phone on recovery and your rom will not boot .
i do some step wrong ?
i tyed also flash rom, flash orangefox with devilk and data wipe but still same problem; as soon i flash orangefox after your rom install phone cant boot to android 11.

ok finally i was able to find the solution myself after reading and try many other posts about custom rom for nokia 8.
1) root your device.
2) boot phone with power down+ usb cable, install t-virus with nost (u'll lose all data of your phone.) selecting normal download + erase user data.
3) rebook phone and let os load. then power off.
4) keep power up pressed and plub usb cable to pc.
it will load twrp. download OrangeFox-Unofficial-NB1.img and put on data. if no data is visible go to wipe, advanced, select data and select change file system; select ext2, then ext4 and ur done.
copy OrangeFox-Unofficial-NB1.img to data by using usb cable from pc to phone internal storage.
on phone in twrp select flash, select image and flash orangefox on boot.
reboot pressing volume up and power cable and orangefox will load.
copy OrangeFox-Unofficial-NB1.zip and Havoc-OS-v4.12-20211230-NB1-Official-GApps.zip to sd card. on orangefox select sd external and install havok. then press wipe cache and after that select install OrangeFox-Unofficial-NB1.zip.
reboot phone and ur done.
ull have havok os loading. if u need recovery mode just press volume up+ insert usb cable and it will load orangefox recovery.

hi, is there a way to fix proximity sensor ? if i get a call i touch glass with ear and open app and so on...
edit: ok i had to enable it by going to setting,, display-> prevent accidental wake up

Thank you very much for your efforts in building this rom. It works awesome. I finally found the time and switched from stock ROM. I don't regret it. Phone got a second life. ROM almost as clean as lineageos on my old s4. I hope for quite a long support period
Regards.

If I can ask you a question, do you use Gcam or any other camera apps aside from the pre-installed Snap camera app? I updated to the latest version of the ROM the other day (v4.13) and I notice that none of the camera apps are able to record images. Pressing the shutter button either does nothing or causes the app to crash. I also get crashing/freezing when switching between the main cam and selfie cam.
The only camera app that works for me is the pre-installed Snap camera app.
Do you have these issues?
PS: Unfortunately no further updates to the ROM as Edward has stopped support.

Unfortunately I can't help you,
I don't use any other photo app except the pre-installed one. Switching between the main camera and the selfie camera works.
Only one of the old apps is crashing. It works Ok if there is no lock set on the phone. If there is a pin or fingerprint, it crashes.
Too bad there won't be an update. I wasn't hoping for much, just small bug fixes and security updates, nothing more. So that I don't have to do a clean install too often.

i use the preinstalled cam but sometimes after taking a photo , phode do nothing for like 20 seconds and then it pop up the maded photo to send to contact or attach to whatsapp. another thing that is really annoying and if any of u has some fix i would appreciate.
1° when i get a call sometimes screen doesnt go on sleep and i click with my ear anything on the screen (really boring)
2° audio quality for live call is terrible. anyone that i call in livecall (speakerphone) people blame me that audio quality is really terrible and they ear themself in it.
3° audio on vlc is also bad respect stock rom. i fixed it a bit with the equalizer inside vlc.
that's all majour bug i encountered with 4.13 version
before i had 4.12 and after downloading the update via ota id did install it but after rebook i still had the 4.12.
to go with 4.13 i had to reformat everything.

I still use this ROM. I think that 4.10 is the best version because it was the last one not to have the curved corners on the picture-in-picture video player (small issue admittedly, but it kinda bugs me) and also, in some of the later versions of Havoc they removed the ability to choose between dark grey instead of AMOLED black dark theme. The later versions of Havoc also had camera issues (I mentioned above in a previous comment) where the image would not save to the gallery.
Maybe this comment will be helpful to someone. I attached some screenshots below.
Thank you Edward for this ROM!

IMEI & VoLTE Fixing Instructions
When initial patch was released i didn't flashed mgisk. BUt when i did despite of patch VoLTE was lost. Uninstalling magisk was solving the issue. But most of us need magisk, so this post has been updated. Read carefully
Method 1
If you are not going to use magisk (i.e. want unrooted OS), flash RMX1901-Havoc-OS-Network-Patch.zip from recovery and reboot. Remember if you flash magisk after or before doesn't matter. You will loose VoLTE only.
No worries, if you did so and have IMEI & lost VoLTE, continue from step 3 of Method 2.
Method 2
After various experiments, this seems to be more user friendly.
1. After flashing havoc-os zip, reboot to system & verify that you have IMEI Not available (blank if use *#06#).
2. Now reboot to recovery & flash magisk, reboot system.
3. Open magisk manager & load module realmex volte.zip & reboot.
4. Now nothing will change, reboot to recovery one last time
5. Flash IMEI-Fix-RMX1901.zip and reboot.
6. Good job !
You can combine or alter the steps, feel free to post in which way you did to fix IMEI & VoLTE.
For Chinese RMX users:
We are Unable to flash in RMX1901 (chinese variant) as it keeps giving error 7 and Failed to mount /system_root (Invalid argument)
waiting for ril fixed build
Awesome ?

Looks like some one isn't reading post carefully. You wiped vendor partition which you shouldn't. You need to flash/restore vendor.img.

Now it is visible under Security, but while registering a fingerprint it is asking to set a pin/pattern/password, I entered the pin and re-entered again, then after it is again asking to re-enter the pin which system always showing that you have entered the wrong PIN, and whenever I locked my system, it is always showing wrong pin.
See the attached Video (In the 3rd Pin re-enter page, the page has become black, don't know why but it's visible on the screen while re-entering the pin).

Additional installation instructions if coming from stock MIUI:
In order to install a custom ROM you must have an unlocked bootloader. You can apply for this at Xiaomi's official site: https://en.miui.com/unlock/
You then need to install a custom recovery. Official TWRP builds are available, and the official maintainer has a thread with installation instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...covery-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-mi-mix-t3941867
Once you have TWRP installed, boot into recovery mode. Wipe cache, dalvik, system, vendor partitions.
You are strongly advised to flash the latest modem firmware. You can grab that here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-andromeda/files/firmware.zip/download
WARNING: You will lose all saved files on your internal storage in the next step, make a backup of important files before proceeding
Data partition must be formatted (not wiped) to remove forced encryption. Use the bottom right "Format Data" button in the Wipe menu. You will be asked to type "yes" to confirm your choice.
At this point your internal storage will be empty. Reset the phone and go back into recovery. Copy the ROM from your PC to the phone, click install in TWRP and select the ROM. If you wish to install gapps/nanodroid, copy it to the phone and install after the ROM.
Reboot back to system and enjoy custom ROM goodness

Thank you lnkypen I'll install on the weekend and test it
Excellent firmware. Thanks.
From the bugs I noticed a broken Wi-fi display and no 60fps in the video recording And you can't choose a ringtone.

I confirm the WiFi display issue, very strange because it works in the other ROMs I built.
The default camera app only supports 30fps. If you want 60fps recording then install gcam. 4K recording is not working on gcam but Cinema 4K has been tested as working.
Got no problems with selecting a ringtone here.
Havoc 3.6 is up: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi....6-20200608-andromeda-Unofficial.zip/download
Havoc-OS v3.6 Changelog

I was the only one who had a problem with the choice of tunes.I must have done something wrong. Now I've switched to pixel.
I figured out why you can't put your own tunes in the factory.it was the gaps.if you set a pico, then the choice of a ringtone occurs with an error.I set the standard, everything worked.
I just installed this rom, coming from Stock EU. After a little soft brick (stuck on bootloader), I finally installed the 3.6 version with the Micro Gapps.
It's amazing, very smooth, thanks a lot for it !
Just a little question, on the screenshots, I saw a refresh rate option, but can't find it on my phone. Is it removed ?
Once again, Thanks a lot !

The screenshots are to give you an idea of the features available, not every device will have all the options. For example: it's pointless having fingerprint on display options when andromeda has a proper rear fingerprint reader, or having hardware navigation key options when andromeda doesn't have them.
If you wan't to adjust your phone refresh rate, check here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...mod-overclock-screen-to-69hz-refresh-t4079987
Unfortunately, since moving over to a proper Q based kernel, the high refresh rates no longer work and you're stuck with a max 69hz
Great firmware. Thank you so much.
But I do not have enough brightness on a sunny day on the street. Please add brightness in the next updates.
Hi. How can I reassign the slider action to simply Wake up the system?

This is not currently possible. My java skills are non existent so unless someone volunteers to rewrite the slider handler, the current slider implementation isn't going to improve.

July update is out! This build and all future builds have encryption enabled. Unfortunately this means you will need to format your data partition in order to install this build, but this is a one time only thing.
I can confirm that F2FS is working perfectly with encryption if you wish to change file systems. The official TWRP doesn't currently support F2FS encryption (as of version 3.4.0-0) so if you wish to make use of F2FS you can use my unofficial build. EXT4 partitions are unaffected. https://mega.nz/file/aVwSHCZC#VkJV3Mby5pQmxzVcI500EB0jBPqMX76PlVJHwJh6MB4
I can also confirm you can switch to a different ROM without formatting (just the usual wipes) so long as the new ROM you are installing is also encrypted. All of the other ROMs available on my sourceforge page are encrypted. This change might mean that you can come straight from MIUI without formatting but this is completely untested by me.
Here's the link, and remember you MUST format internal storage if you are on an unencrypted build:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi....7-20200713-andromeda-Unofficial.zip/download
Havoc-OS v3.7 Changelog 07-07-20:
• Merged July Security Patch
• Added Per app network isolation
• Added VoWiFi statusbar icon
• Added VoLTE icon from OOS 10
• Added VPN QS tile
• Added ability to show daily data usage
• Added toggle to force custom doze brightness
• Added icon shapes from Android R
• Added QS tile accent tint
• Added QS statusbar style
• Added Raise to wake
• Added toggle to disable SIM
• Added Edge light animation direction
• Added Edge light Faded/Solid view
• Added configurable sensor block package list
• Added Ringtone focus mode
• Improved QS detail view layout
• Improved AOD QS tile
• Improved Biometric dialog
• Improved AOD charge settings
• Improved IME space toggle code
• Fixed Notification guts color in dark theme
• Fixed Network speed format for 10*KB
• Fixed custom theme crash in landscape mode
• Fixed App drawer background transparency
• Decreased USB-Debugging notification priority
• Other fixes and improvements
I fixed the encryption issues I had with some of the builds so I have re-released version 3.7. https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi....7-20200713-andromeda-Unofficial.zip/download
This has a vendor mismatch warning from cold boot, it doesn't create any problems and you can safely ignore it. I should have it fixed in the next update.
I can not update
Tell me why I can not update my smartphone xiaomi mi mix 3 5g with the latest firmware Havoc-OS-v3.7-20200713-andromeda-Unofficial.zip? Previously, I did Wipe System, Data, Dalvik, Cache and after that everything was perfectly updated, and now the operating system does not boot, but returns to twrp. Now I have Havoc-OS-v3.6-20200613-andromeda-Unofficial.zip

Read post number 17, specifically the part stating that you must format (not wipe) data partition because the new builds are encrypted.

Querido instalar a ROM como sou novo aqui não estou entendendo como instalar pelo fastboot
Thank you! It seems to be working just fine and I really like the OS but the system partition appears to be to small to flash GApps (even the smallest package). I tried to enlarge it by repartitioning and bricked my secondary device. Any suggestions how to get GApps running?

either you are trying the wrong slot or you might need to install stock first.
Hi, I don't understand "Fastboot getvar all (remember boot slot)", how many slots does the edge have ?!
can u update the recovery link?
any plans to upgrade to android 11?

I think the stock rom is better than these custom roms, there is no official one.

Stock rom is not as customizable and making modifications to it like custom roms, apart from the fact that installing mods like the ones in Havoc OS is simply difficult
The OS works perfectly, no problem at all, my phone haves a problem that sometimes the screen glitches or it restarts itself, but this OS reduces those problems by at least 80%
can you in someway update the OS to newer versions?
nvm
Hi. I installed Havoc and everything went fine except my SIM card was not recognized. I did the stock installation and it started working again. How can I get the card's functionality back with this OS? This always happens when I install a Custom ROM.
this rom for motorola p30 play or motorola p30 note to be specific mptorola one or motorola one power?

I can build any Android 10 custom ROM... just have to download 100 GB of sources and wait about 5 hours until it builds
I don't even have Z00L, only Z00ED, so it's pretty awesome that this build boots.
I'll also upload a new build today, which should fix the vendor error messages.
Thank you very much
Can you make it for the Z00T?, please

I can build any Android 10 custom ROM... just have to download 100 GB of sources and wait about 5 hours until it builds
I don't even have Z00L, only Z00ED, so it's pretty awesome that this build boots.
I'll also upload a new build today, which should fix the vendor error messages.

It has got a LineageOS 17.1 build, so it should be easy. I can try to build next week.

I don't own this device, you'll need to ask someone who tested it.

Hi adazem009,
I installed the latest build - Havoc-OS-v3.12-20210418-Z00L-Unofficial.zip
Unfortunately I confirm the initial error message "Your vendor image does not match the system. Please flash the MMB29P vendor image for your device." and there is no IMEI.
But I confirm:
root with Magisk
Wi-fi ok
Gps ok
Double tap ok
Unfortunately, I cannot test Volte as there is no coverage in my area.
Thanks so much

Excuse me so much ...
Right now I was able to insert a sim, and the IMEI is recognized.
I did not know that the IMEI is not displayed until a sim is inserted into the slot.
I encountered another small bug:
Outgoing calls work, while to answer received calls, you need to lower the status bar, as they are not displayed in full screen.
As for the audio, I didn't have any problems.
Unfortunately, I confirm that the camera is completely broken: the app starts, but as soon as you take a picture, it crashes without saving any files.
Thank you so much for the great job

Hi, can you try this camera app? https://forum.xda-developers.com/at...33_minapi19-nodpi-_apkmirror-com-apk.5262703/
Meanwhile, thanks for the availability adazem009
I have installed the app:
as regards the photos, after the first shot, all the buttons are no longer clickable, the app does not crash, but it is no longer possible to do any operation and the photo is not saved . instead the video recorder works fine

Found out what's causing the crashes, I'll try to fix it next week.
By the way, why do people think ZF2 Laser doesn't have enough support? I think someone is already working on LineageOS 18.1 (Android 11) builds, which I think were already booted on Z00L.
OK thank you very much.
Anyway, apart from your work, that of markkiths, Reikarin for the kernel, and the groovy android team, I don't see any other rom development for this device

Thanks
I downloaded and installed this rom today. Was testing around and I notice tw possibleo bugs. 1. Is that my FOD doesn't work and the second thing is that when I decrease the screen brightness to minimum, my phone screen becomes black like the screen is off but it isnt, also cant use adaptive brightness for that reason. I attached a video to show a demonstration of the issue. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-6-yufcDcivPQOyPkAm3ogkEOQvzcZo9/view?usp=drivesdk

On my edge, yesterday (Sunday) morning: Havoc was a snap to install, root, config...everything was fine except for the phone service part. I had no phone service. Phone service, from verizon, that I usually get, was a no-go. Not only did I check to see if it was plugged in, I also turned if off and then back on again. (NO? Lol...)
Initially, I could 'do a thing' and phone service was restored. However, this was short-lived as 'the thing' was an unreliable kludge and stupid and WTF - Also, android 11 convolutes and/or wrecks things about android 10 that I like. I went back to Lineage. Then, I had a pleasant phone call with a buddy because I had phone service, which, was pretty cool, because, I was using a phone.

US carriers, always a hassle.
Anyhow, a log is always helpful
Hello everyone! I just have a small question regarding this ROM. And I think some Edge users would also like to know the answer. As some of you know, the latest official update to Android 11 broke the waterfall screen on our Motorolas. The screen is not fully populated by the applications, instead, the waterfall edges persist black. This is a bit of faux pas from Lenovo's / Motorola side as the main point of this phone are these enormously curved screen edges. They keep telling me that this is not their fault but Android 11 Waterfall API and app developers. Does the same issue occur in this ROM?

Sho 'nuff.
I would care at all about a log, troubleshooting, and fixing if this were my only ROM choice, but, it's not. Also, I don't have time for that. I'll try Havoc again after 4.6.
Hi there! I got an issue when installing TWRP recovery. After the installation and rebooting to recovery I cannot use the touch screen and thus cannot continue further actions.

How did you install twrp?
I would advise against using the twrp installer zip as this happens.. You should just manually fastboot flash recovery_<a/b> twrp.img
