Notification event? - Windows Mobile Software Development

Hi,
I have a question about the Notifications tab in the settings. Here are events stored for when a mail arrives etc. Now i've found out that those are stored in the registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Notifications but i have no idea how i can program these... I want to make an event that checks on internet for updates and if there is an update then vibrate the phone an add a bubble...
If someone has any pointer where to seach or how to do it...

Windows Mobile 6.0/XDA Orbit Queries

Hi all,
I'm using WM6 on my backup device, the XDA Orbit and have a few annoying niggles. Can anyone advise on the below?
1) I have 2 hotmail accounts - one personal, one business. I would like to have visibility of both in my messages window. To my knowledge, I can only use one at a time and have to switch accounts via Windows Live each time I want to view emails. Is there a way you can have both?
2) I can't seem to syncronise the new folders on the POP3 account I have. Is there a way? It's an O2 account. When I create a new folder on the XDA, it doesn't show when I log in via webpage & vice versa.
3) I'd like to be able to edit the caller display when someone calls. When a contact information is filled out in detail (i.e company, job title etc.), some of the information appears on the incoming caller display bubble. Ideally I just want the name, number and photo. Possible? Fussy I know
4) In WM5, you used to be able to turn WIFI on AND off via the GPRS icon (next to the phone signal icon/speaker/clock). In WM6, it seems you can only turn it on. I know it's lazy as the Comms Manager in the 'System Tray' is only a few taps away but is there anyway to resurrect the WM5 functionality or provide a link to a 3rd party app/plugin?
5) And finally...I'd also like a bluetooth plugin on the system tray for quick access - any links?
Thanks in advance,
GW
Q1 - 2 live mail accounts can be done by setting up 2nd account as POP3 but apparently you need a yearly MSN subscription to be able to use this. Will just make do with the one account!
Q2 - Been advised to set the account type to IMAP4 to be able to sync new folders although this doesn't seem to work with an O2 email account. Can live without it though.
Q3,Q4,Q5 - Appreciate these will require registry changes - does anyone know what strings/values to edit?
Q1: I have my hotmail via a outlook plugin called httpmail. I guess it would work also with two hotmail accounts.
Here is a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=225779
Thanks, will check it out.
re: Q2, I don't think the sync can be done on POP3 accounts. Under Messaging > Account i.e. O2 > Tools > Manage Folders, when you click & hold on the new folder that's been created the only options are 'New Folder', 'Delete' or 'Rename'. There is 'Folder Options' but it's greyed out. There are no tick boxes next to the folder like there is for syncing a folder in the Windows Live account.
I've given up on Q4 but I'd really like to fix Q3 if possible, surely just a small registry change required there...just a case of finding what to edit! Anyone help with this?
230 views - come on, who can rise to the challenge of finding a fix for me
Just to summarise question:
is there a way (registry, 3rd party app. etc.) you can edit the details on the incoming caller display bubble. For example, when the 'company' field data is entered on a phone contact, it shows under the name & number when someone calls. Ideally I just want the name, number and photo, no other info.
Is this possible?

Calendar help - unable to edit appointment!

Not sure why this is, but just got my Desire, exported calendar from outlook to Google, then sync'd phone and imported appointments. When I open an appointment and want to move it, I tap menu, and the only options I get are: Add reminder; Delete event; Share vCalendar. Why can't I edit them?? How can I make it so I can??!! Is it something on the phone, or do I need to change settings on Google calendar on my laptop? HELP!! Thanks!
I had the exact same problem until I installed the new T-Mobile update and now "edit" as appeared on the menu. Could be a coincidence, but it is now there!

Changing Reminders on Google calendar doesn't reflect on the phone ...

What's up with that !?
So if i create an event with no reminder and then add a reminder it won't show on the phone.

Diary entries default as invitations?

I am wondering if there is any way diary entries can automatically be entered as anything other than 'meeting invites', or whatever the term is? As it is, if I put an appointment into the phone calender, it comes up as a meeting invite and I simply want it to default as an appointment. I have gone through settings and can see no way of changing the default.
Many thanks!

LG G4- How To Show Birthday Reminders?

Smart Notice
I'm trying to figure out how to get it to show me Birthday reminders (I have a Google calendar dedicated to birthdays, titled "Birthdays" just to make it obvious to the phone.). The option is ticked under settings, but nothing from the phone.
What am I doing wrong?
In Google Calendar, go to Menu>Settings>Birthdays (you will see a tab marked "Birthdays" a couple of lines above settings, but that just toggles birthdays on/off). There you will be able to choose which accounts and behaviors you want to use.
However, that just shows a notification the day of that person's birthday. I have not found a setting to show you a reminder say a week in advance without setting up a specific event.

Right. And my Birthday's calendar is toggled in, and I created the birthdays in 3 formats:
1. My 'default' Gmail calendar - created an event titled "Fake's Birthday"
2. 'Birthdays' calendar - created an event called "Fake"
3. 'Birthdays' calendar - created an event called "Fake's Birthday".
All 3 are all-day events.
All 3 lead to the same result: The phone won't even read the name of the 'person', and just shows that it's a friend's birthday.

My girlfriend has a G4 as well, and hers will automatically notify her 6 days in advance that it's someone's birthday (with the correct name/ date/ time) and that you set time aside for celebrations. I tried her calendar settings too, and can't seem to figure it out.
We may have been looking at this from the wrong direction. If you go to Google Calendar settings on your computer, instead of your phone, there are more options available. One is to set a notification "X" number of days before an all-day event. I don't know if your girlfriend is doing it that way, but it would be a way to accomplish what you want.

I don't think it's that. I've created multiple events in different formats under different calendars, and the only one that seems to trigger the Smart Notice is if it's under the "xxx's birthday" format. Also, the event must be there 7 days prior (and Google Cal sync that far back) for SN to read it, irrespective of notifications under Google Calendar on the computer.
So anyway, I tried that - and here's what I got today.
Notice how SN reads that it's a birthday from a week before in Calendar, but still doesn't read the name properly again. (slightly different problem!)

So having a calendar dedicated to Birthdays is useless unless the format of the event is essentially "xxxx's birthday." Wonder if it works for Anniversaries as well.
