Turning off the sound chip from your program - Windows Mobile Software Development

Hi, guys
Does anyone know how to turn off the sound chip on the XDA from within your program? The idea is to save power by disabling some of the electronics.

Use Audio Manager with hardware keys?

Hi everyone,
is it possible to use the Audio Manager with the hardware keys when the display is turned off?
Perhaps there is a reg entry to enable it?!

If someone could fix this it would be great
So that you can change track, volume and so on without turning on the screen and unlock the phone and then go in to audio manager.
If someone help me maybe I can try to code it, but Iam a newbie in this phoneprogramming area
I hope for the best

Accoustic Parameters

Anyone know how set accounstic parameters works?
I am trying to adjust the fact that full volume on the Phone via the speaker is fine, but then when I listen to music via the wired headphones, I have to turn it dwn to say 35%, then I get a call and volume jumps right up to max and it sound slike the other person is shouting right in my ear.
(Ok that is probably the effect the wife is trying to achieve, but even so....)
I was wondering if this can be achieved by tweaking the set accoustic parameters files.
The first hurdle seems to be that a different file is used per operator - how do I know what my operator ID is?
If anyone can help or make any other suggestions I would be most grateful.

IIRC set accoustic parameters runs on the first setup ? Does it run each soft reset ?
Any info would give me a useful starting point.

Ipaq 211 enterprise volume help!

Hi everyone,
i just have receive this toy and i noticed that the volume is too low. I know the speaker is very weak and it will not support a high volume level but im interested in modify something (may be registry) and pump the volume up so i can use headphones and listen some music with a decent volume level.
I already have installed resco registry and i explored registry but im not sure about make some changes if i do not know what am i doing.
Please help me...Volume is too low...
Regards from Mexico.
Hey Juanvera-
I've got myself the same iPaq you've got, and have noticed the same thing... however it'd help if you specified whether you said that this happens with the headphones as well. I know the speaker is quiet, and I've tried several little tools to help but nothing works due to the screen size. My headphones work great with it, with a perfect volume range, but the onboard speaker is quite the opposite. If this sounds right for your problem, then you're outa luck.
If anyone has this problem and has found a solution, let me know too

Help needed....Can't adjust call volume

Doesn't matter if I'm using the earpiece or speakerphone the volume doesn't change when I use the physical volume buttons or the on-screen slider. Anyone else had this problem or know of a solution or things/settings I can check? It seems to be locked where it's at even though I can see the slider moving.
Can't really say when it started. I'm wondering if I may have removed something while cleaning up bloat and such that I shouldn't have after rooting/bootloader. Maybe there is an app that is now affecting it. I don't know but it really sucks. Lol
Btw, volume for music and video playback adjusts just fine which further leads me to believe it's a system process or something with the software.

Hands free calling still uses built-in microfone

Hello everybody,
I have a really annoying bug. Whenever I make a phone call using headphones the built-in microfone is still on. So when the phone is in my pocket I hear all this scratching sounds from the phone's built-in microfone, lol.
Does anybody know how to fix it? As it is really annoying...
I've tried several headphones...
Thanks in regards
