Trouble getting my GPS to sync w/ WM6 Bluetooth

I just bought a Holux M-241 Bluetooth GPS reciever to work in conjunction with my Vogue (CDMA HTC touch), I've tried to follow the instructions provided to create a device relationship, but the instructions were written to connect to a WM5 device whereas my touch is WM6 and I keep on getting hung up when it asks me to enter a passcode.
This is the first time I've tried to use bluetooth with my touch and it doesn't mention anything about passcodes in the GPS setup instructions. I've tried entering both the P/N and the S/N numbers written on a sticker on the back of the M-241, as well as my device password, but it always tells me that "the passcode is incorrect" and then it drops the bluetooth connection from both the system tray and the M-241.
I must be doing something wrong, I would really appreciate if someone has any advice on this situation.

Try to use "0000" or "1234" wich are often the standard codes.
I got a similar problem: My HTC Wizard recognises my Bluetooth mouse (HID) and it also pairs. My mouse works without passcode and it Pairs without entering one.
Though, when it comes to register the device as an HID Device after Pairing, WM aks for the Passcode again. This time, the "next" button stays grey until anything is entered. As my mouse works WITHOUT a passcode, I cannot register it the right way.
Is there any solution to adding an HID device without passcode to my wizard?
When using GPS in WM6 make sure the built-in GPS feature in "programs" is diabled. I had problems with my Globalsat BT-359, it wouldn´t pair and it turned out to be the built-in feature that was making a hard time. It was somehow on by default and when I diabled it I could pair on first try.
Just a thought.
on my hermes w/ WM6 i pair it using the (passcode from documentation) then I use 0000 as the passcode when prompted.
I have a different GPS but usually 0000 is the passcode
thanks for the help everybody!
"0000" was the passcode.
I'm a taxi driver and being able to pair my GPS to my Touch to find the shortest routes has changed the way I drive.
All the best,

Problems with Sony wireless keypad and PDA pairing...

Hi,
I've recently bought a wireless keypad made for PSP3, and working with some of other bluetooth devices... I'm sure that it can work with my HTC Prophet, cos it is recognised... But the wireless keypad asks for a key to establish a secure connection, when i want to add it in my bluetooth list. I've tried many ways to bypass this key, but without results.
Does somebody knows how to grab the key from the keypad, please? Is there a tool, or another way, to associate my HTC with the wireless keypad?
Thanks a lot for your answers, cos this keypad is expensive, and i would use it.

Look on the manual or use google to find it. it should just be all zeros (0000) or 1234 thats for any BT headset, mouse, keyboards.
Wii-mote is wierd how it connects so unknown key

[Question] Touch Pro 2 =/= Altima 2010

Is there any way that allow me to connect my "Touch Pro 2" to a "Nissan Altima 2010" via Bluetooth?
Explanation of my problem:-
1- I try to connect my Touch Pro 2" to the Bluetooth of the "Nissan Altima 2010".
2- the "Touch Pro 2" ask for a pairing password which is by "Nissan Altima 2010" default "1234" as displayed in the information screen of the car.
3- I enter the password"1234".
4- the car information screen displays that "The pairing password was INCORRECT".
is there any UPDATE,PATCH or a program to fix the problem?
Note: after searching the internet for answers , i found that i`m not the only one with this same problem. A lot of people out there have the same problem with their "Touch Pro 2".

PHMRegedit and Total Commander are the 2 free apps that are most widely used here. PHM (1st cab below) is a smoother interface, but only does regediting, TC (2nd cab) is a less polished interface, but also includes advanced file explorer functionality.
PROBLEM NOT SOLVED YET....

Please help ... tweak ,patch ,registry ,program ,anything that works
I have the same issue with my Nissan 370z (No Navi). I'm tried many different ROM's and all the registry tweaks, no luck yet.
The Car manual specifically says you can't change the PIN / Passcode. I
true, i also disabled the PIN code pairing process but when i try to connect it still ask me to enter a PIN code "1234"
when pairing with my G35, which does NOT have stock stereo (it's a pioneer aftermarket stereo I installed specifically for hands-free talking and bluetooth music streaming), I set my phone to discoverable, then start the pairing from the stereo, not the phone... then when the phone asks if I'd like to pair with the stereo, I say yes, then I enter the code (for me, it's 0000).
Hope this helps. - Mark
Contact the manufacturers and they'll tell you exactly what you need to do. One quick phone call or email might save you hours and hours of agrivation.

Hi, I'm trying to connect my Galaxy Nexus Unlocked to a Bluetooth dongle. My Nexus sees the device but when I click on it, it gives me a 6 digit passkey to enter on the dongle. The dongle has preset 4 digit codes and there's no way to enter a different passkey on the device/dongle.
So...is there a way to manually enter a different passkey on my Nexus?
Is this a Legacy pairing vs SSP problem? Read about that after googling for a while.
Thanks!

[CM11] [Seranoltexx] Bluetooth Problems

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this... however....
I've a problem with this hid device:
Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 V1.0
My OS version is CM11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-seranoltexx
The symptoms: Failing to pair. The phone finds the device and when I click on it (does not request a PIN or key), the phone says "Pairing..." and stays like that for 1min, after this period Phone simply says "Can't communicate with Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000"
What I tried is to turn off the Bluetooth before the mentioned dialog and then I got "Couldn't pair with Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 because of incorrect PIN or passkey". (never gave it one).
So I tried to pair the same mouse with Motorola Defy CM7. The OS showed a dialog requesting PIN entry. I entered 0000 and the devices were paired.
Tried to pair on a PC running Linux and Windows:
with PIN 0000 (successful at both)
without PIN (successful on Windows, unsuccessful on Linux)
with random PIN (unsuccessful on both)
Tried to pair external BT keyboard on CM11, CM7, Windows and Linux:
with PIN unsucessfull everywhere
without PIN (CM11 and CM7 never asked for. On Linux it was optional. On Windows it was pain in the ass. Paired after 10th try without PIN, by specifically pointing that the device is HID and does not request a PIN).
with random PIN (failed everywhere)
What I am suspecting here is that the MS Windows is trying to pass PIN 0000 to everything even if option Does not request PIN is ticked.
CM11 Bluetooth stack is trying to pair without PIN once it sees HID device. And I guess here is the issue.
Tried to fix this by my self. Changed bluetooth.apk/bluetoothext.apk from various CM11-seranoltexx versions - no luck. Analysed every libbt-*.so. Turns out that all the libs are the same through out the different versions of CM11.
So any method which will allow me to add BT HID device with PIN?
Perhaps an Xposed module (although I didn't find anything useful), or a CLI command?
Any help or advice will be appreciated.
Thanks
