Rubber grips for the XDA2? - General Accessories

Hi folks:
Is there a rubber (or any other anti-slip) solution for a naked XDA2? I like to use my XDA2 "al fresco" but find it to be too slippery; have already dropped it once.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Fernando

I think there is and you should look for them!!
I am using currently a protection case which also acts as an anti slpi for my device that looks like in the pics i have attatched with my message.
Good luck in your search

Maybe this is what you are looking for:

Silicone Case for O2 Exec, SPV M5000, i-mate JASJAR, MDA Pro

I have many of this for sale. Please search for my username, chaiwat_t, if this item number has been sold. It got a good review in my country so hope you like it.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Silicone-Case-O...864428709QQcategoryZ48673QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I'm interested - are there any published reviews?
So am I. I'm curious what the white version looks like. Any pics?
They have it here : http://www.boxwave.com/products/flexiskin/flexiskin-qtek-9000_722.htm
In 5 different colors for 27.95$. Can everyone with experience in silicon cases comment about it being a dust hugger? I heard it gets dirty easily but i don't have personal experience.
If it is that bad (the dust) how come they still sell?
I am using one myself for my SPV M5000 and it's not a dust hugger. Anyway, it's normal that if you use the black color, you'll notice the dust easier. It's the same for everything in black color, I think.
I've not seen any reviews yet but you can ask tho who had bought it from me (via eBay).
It makes my life less heavy as other cases make this giant like a big brick while this siliconse case just adds a litte weight to it.
I'll be doing a review soon. And the alumium grey is the best one as far as Jasjar's are concerned as i was told the skin blends very well with the original color.
If you have an exec, then i suggest you go for the clear version, thats your best bet.
Docc.

How much are you selling them with shipping to Madrid, Spain included? In €uros preferably.
I've never used ebay. Where is your link? Thanks
Hi,
I ordered one from ebay and it cost me 24 euros including postage.

Can you please post the link to the seller? Also is that 24€ international postage? I live in Madrid, Spain
I used the link in the first post. Check it out .You have to pay in advance with paypal. I paid 24 euros and am waiting for the delivery (tony_ix: any idea how long that'll take?). This includes postage to the Netherlands (price is GBP 9,49 and 5,99 postage: is about E24) . If I'm wrong, I'm sure tony_ix can give some more info, since he's selling them.
Please do let us know how it fits. One concern of mine is that some of the cut outs might not correspond to the actual holes. If you could possibly post some pictures, that would be very nice.
Yes, that's true. The photos on the boxwave site show that the videocam hole is not exactly in line
For more photos...
http://www.pda4thai.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1333
There is no issue of cutouts not correspond to the actual holes.
ng, I have no picture of the unit with the white color at the moment. From the items sold, the black color is the most popular.
Is there anyway of getting one of these without using ebay or paypal?
Hi,
When I get this case, I won't be able to be of any use as to how the case will fit, since I don't have my device yet . I still have to wait some time before the end of my subscription before I can go get the universal. I bougth this case in eager anticipation. I thought the price was right and figured that by the time I get my device, they would be sold out.
So you'll just have to make do with the pictures online. Based on the pictures I expect it to fit well, also with the cut-outs. I was also not too fond of the flexiskin pictures showing the holes out of allignment. I do hope it will color ok, since I'm going to get the silver mda pro, but I that's just esthaetics.
I was wondering: based on the pictures of this silicone case, would it be of any help in the "keyboard marks" issue, since the case will add an extra strip around the border of the keyboard. This is pure speculation ofcourse, but an optimistic one. Any thoughts?
N
Regarding the keyboard scratchs, i wonder the same thing, any ownser of this skin care to comment?
Riceburner,
Please email me if you want to try paying in another way.
About the keyboard, I think if the skin covers the keyboard, then you'll find it hard to see the alphabet on it and that is pain. I like it to have the cutout for the keyboard.

Yes, but is it thick enough (the case) that the screen part doesn't touch the keyboard? Check this forum for xda exec case marks and you'll see what i mean. The upper part of the device (which is where the screen is) has shiny "dots" that correspond to the keys as they rub against eachother. Normally only the upper part of the screen. Just want to know if the "frame" of the silicon case is thick enough to prevent this to happen as there are a lot of people with the device for more than a month that have seen this symptom
its amazing... the screen is not touching the keyboard
the material feels very soft and strong at the same time
i did not expect it to be so perfect it fits like a glove
if yu guys want any particular fotos pls pm me and i'll try my best to provide
i would recomd this case to any one using the universal...
as i have the jasjar it looks a bit weird because it does not cover the hinge on the outside otherwise excellent case

Hi madjid,
Do you have any pics of the XDA Orbit in a white and in a black case ???
I seem to think it will look OK in a black case but am interested in what it looks like in white..
Cheers
Gaz
Yes I'd also like to know if it will be a perfect fit for the O2 XDA Orbit as it is a different shape to the Artemis and it's varients.
Really want one but need to make sure it will fit well!!!!
hi as per email n ebay
i need to see the black case both frotn and back with the phone inside or not...
also the pic you showed is that the white one or the grey one???
More Pictures and what it looks like in the orbit hope this helps
Hi to all , as requested I did put the pictures for you in the site , more of them for the orbit as a lot of you want to know if it fit it normal,to me I have both orbit and mda compact 3,its the same fitting since the button are the same, but again the choice is yours you decide.
here is the link for the pictures
http://www.sidiplus.co.uk/ipaq.htm
and this one when you happy to go ahead
http://www.sidiplus.co.uk/Hot Deal Bargains.htm
Also they very good if you use a car windscreen holder (cheap one under £10 they are magnetic holders from ebay),I personally use one and I put the metal bit under the case, you dont even have to stick it to your phone and its firm.
Its better than buying the original one and taking the silicone off each time you plug it in.
Any questions just ask.
Thanks to all

Thanks. I'll try the black then with the orbit. What about the holder that shows in the pictures. I couldn't find any on the site.
As for the magnetic bit...and the metal bit, I really didn't understand anything.
Nevermind about the picture of the holder, I did find the other post about it.

Hi, the holder that I was talking about is like one of those
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MAGNETIC-SUCT...3QQihZ002QQcategoryZ75447QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
And the metal bit is the small bit you see in the picture, you just put the metal bit between the case and the pda,so there is no need to take the selicone case each time you use it in the car mount.

Carrying Case - Body Glove

Has anyone tried the Body Glove case?
http://www.bodyglove.com/store/produ...&Go.y=13&Go=Go
It's $30, but do you guys think it's worth it?
I bought it for my wife's TP2 and it is very nice with one caveat.....it lacks a hole for the "blank screen while in call" sensor that is located just above and to the right of the "C" of HTC.
It does add considerable bulk to the phone but the end result is what looks like really great protection to the entire unit.
Belt clip looked pretty good but my wife had me remove the post since she never intends to clip it to a belt.
The fit of both halves is next to perfect but keep one thing in mind, removing the two pieces can be pretty difficult. If, for some reason, you access the sim/battery compartment on a regular basis then this case is not for you.
For my wife it is perfect since I fully expect it to get bumped and dropped so the case is ideal. I will post a picture of the hole I drilled to make the proximity sensor work on a thread that I started last week.
Regards,
Gordo
Gordo,
Thanks for your extensive reply. Can you please post a few pictures of the Body Glove case? I cannot locate any decent pictures of the phone from various angles with the Body Glove case. I do understand that the phone will become somewhat bulkier, but if you could provide a few pictures from a few different angles that would be beyond great.
It looks like we'll all have to drill holes in these cases if we want the sensor, and the pictures will help. Did Tmobile sell it for $29?
Thank you

I am out of town until late tonight but will post some pictures tomorrow.
As for the price, I am not sure! I was in a hurry, saw the case, liked the case and they just added it to the price of the phone. I will look at the receipt and check for sure when I get home.
Gordo
Uh, this one is for the GSM version of the phone, not the CDMA.
CDMA versions have the sensor to the left of the "H"
Too bad it's for the Tmo version only. A version for the international/european gsm version would be nice.
But at least it's good for those with a Tmo version.
Pictures of the Body Glove Case
Here are the pictures of the TP2 and the Body Glove case. I took these pictures real quick tonight after I got home. Sorry if I didn't get as many angles as I would have liked. Tired and going to bed!

So everybody who are looking for this stuff can find it...
Do they do a non-T-Mobile version?
gordo,
Thank you very much for the images! I got the case and it looks like I will have to make the same hole you did for the proximity sensor.
It seems like a hole puncher did the trick? That may be my plan too.

I got my TP2 and the case from T-Mo yesterday. I really don't care about the proximity sensor as I use my bluetooth.
He actually used a 1/2" drillbit to drill the hole.

Anti-Glare/Anti-Smudge screen protectors

Has anyone come across an Anti-Smudge/Anti-Glare screen protector for the 4G? I was looking for the ones that have a slightly textured feel to them. I've done a few searches and came up with only a couple and they were "cut to fit" or from someone that looked a little shady (had misspelled words in their advertisements). I have an XTREMEgaurd on there now that I'm not super happy with but it'll keep my screen safe until i get what I'm looking for. Thanks ahead for your help.

The T-Mobile Store took and used a G2 Anti glare Anti smudge and cut is slightly at the bottom and it looks and works great. I think the girl has done quite a few as she did a great job on mine. I would highly recommend this over the regular clear plastic ones.

I was just thinking about getting the XTREMEguard, why dont you like it? I thought it would be nice..plus it is supposedly 'very tough' "Military grade" material... please tell me a little feedback on that?....
BTW- are you looking for a S.P. which has a grippy texture? is that what you mean? I saw one on eBay which said it had a grippy texture....
Well i may end up giving the G2 screen protector a shot. Hopefully someone up there will be kind enough to cut it for me. I don't trust myself to cut it correctly lol. Thanks a lot for the info!
The problem i had with EXTREMEgaurd was that it had visible "grains", even after having it on there for 3 days. The "grains" ran length wise across the screen and it drove me nuts so I peeled it off yesterday. It is also thicker than my liking. It served its purpose though and was scratch resistant. I tend to be a little more particular than most people though so you may not notice the inequalities that I found with it. I only wasted 5 bucks though. I think there are superior products out there but the price was right and like I said... some people are as particular as I am.
Im not sure what they mean by "grippy texture". "Grippy" sounds like "sticky" to me so I'm not sure. The one I'm looking for is textured but not "sticky". Like what Bobsbbq was talking about with the G2 screen.
Thank you both for the info. I'm gonna look around for a couple more days and then I'm gonna go the "cut G2 SP method".
I have tried the Clarivue in the past, which btw does not have one yet. But nonetheless, it has always been highly rated
My Point? Well the Tmobile OEM one that they put out seems to be EXACTLY the same as the Clarivue.
You can't go wrong with that. By the way EREBUSTING, what is a S.P. ??
I think I know what a grippy texture means, sort of like the ones (they are good tho) like the invisible shield that you use a liquid to put on??

[Official] Htc One X accessories

here you can have a look at the upcoming official htc one x accessories. thought it was a good idea to put them in a seperate thread

heres some detailed info on some of the neat things http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/blog/2012/02/htc-one-x-accessories-available-first-from-mobile-fun/ but the one that catches my eye is the HTC One X Speaker Dock CR S650 can just keep my fingers crossed that someone releases a case which extends the pogo pins.
strange is that when i search for more images info etc on the s650 i get this dock http://www.parrotshopping.com/us/p_htc_item.aspx?i=229884 its the same on this this page http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=229884&phone=229814 and on alot of pages so i guess they got the images mixed up..

ohh that one..
was wondering why is it call a hard shell when there is a flip there...
no way am i getting a casing with a flip cover on it.. hate those designs..
I ordered this case and it came this morning: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rubberised-...MCYA/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1331982985&sr=8-7
First impressions- I don't like the way it's not going to completely cover the top or bottom of the phone, it also seems like the kind of case that clips on - not a big fan - (I'll see how it fits when I get the device) - material seems good though (hard plastic).
May be a good stop gap until casemate get their tough cases out (loath to pay 30 quid though, but always found them to offer A+ protection)
@jermx i think this is a stand becouse this case is transparent

I thought the exact same thing earlier. The location of the micro usb plug on there would mean that the micro usb port on the phone would have to be on the right hand side, but in all pictures it's been on the left hand side.
Perhaps it's a mirror image, for some reason?
the phone has 5 metal dots on the back. these are the dock connection. not the micro-usb port.
