sim unlock for xda IIs - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Is there any news on unlocking the xda IIs? I would like to buy it but need to be able to use other sims in it, thanks

I bought the MDAIII and t-mobile unlocked it for £15

Has anyone done this with the o2 xdaIIs? somehow i dont think o2 will be as cooperative as t-mobile. I was wondering if there was a free tool that can unlock it

no tool yet.

Noobie - simple questions, i hope.

All,
Ive been following several forums for the past couple of weeks, and this is defineitley the most helpful and informative on the XDA2S.
That siad, Im a noobie, so it doesnt all sink in straight away.
im on an 02 contract (locked -another story trying to get unlocked and one on which I'll keep you posted). Im seeing several posts which indiacte a rom upgrade would be useful to dispose of all the 02 customisation and improve performance - is there any truth in this, and if so, which ROM is the latest stable version, and where can I obtain it.
Secondly, I'd like to set up several email accounts, so I can synch with several PC's, including my corporate pc - is there a simple way to do this with profiles - the XDA user manual is thick, but very basic.
Finally, does anybody have a sim replicator for the XDA2S, and can they comment on its usefuleness. Im on 02 for personal calls, and Vodafone for corporate (and heavy email/internet usage), and woudl therefor benefit from the capability to change providers without ripping the battery out each time.
Many thanks in advance for your help and advice.

if eskimofisherman has an XDAiiS or blueangel, as he says.
not the unlock nor the romupgrade of zairyaab can be used.

Good Money To Anyone Who Can Sort Me Out
Hi I also have an XDAIIs with a PAY As You Go SIM, My Corporate network is Orange. I have been trying to get it unlock but no avail. Is someone working on an Unlock Tool? If so if someone could let me know that would be great.
I in the meantime I have been trying to connect to my Nokia6310 (Corporate Phone) via bluetooth to Browse the web and sync E-mail over orange GPRS. But unlike my HP4100 I don't get a connect to phone over bluetooth option. Within Bluetooth Manager. Are there some missing files? I am assuming o2 don't add it to the OS so that you don't browse using another network. Any help you be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
I can confirm its an O2 XDA 2S, aka blue angel. Ive tried calling O2 several times, explaining I want to use both networks, but they wont be budged.
Its now my personal mission to get the handset unlocked - and to distribute as wide and far as possible once completed.
XDA2s Unlock Question.
Hi,
does the xda manipulator program not work on the 2s??
xda Manipulator only works on XDA 1 and even then not always

O2 Coroporate Passcode

Hi all,

Regards,
Hussam
The code is 0506. This stops O2 Active being installed

O2 Corporate settings
There are also some drawbacks, I had a problem with my O2 GPRS settings going awry.... but managed to for is myself....
O2 Data support told me that I had to do a hard reset.... yeah right !
o2 Data Support are, in my experience, a joke. However, counting a former DS guy as a friend of mine, it isn't normally due to any lacking of understanding on their part. If anything they seem constrained in what they can do by o2.
Yeah the GPRS settings are handy, but if you search on these forums for them it is often hard to find the definitive setup details. We could still use an FAQ section...talk about that seems to have died again, despite my (amongst many others) offer of help to set these up.
Cheers

o2 Executive

Hi Guys,
I just bought an XDA executive on ebay from the UK.
The seller said it was unblocked and hould work with any sim, but after recieving the unit and turning the unit on i cant get past the o2 screen and none of the buttons on the phone respond to once clicked upon.
Please advise?
Thanks!
Hi,
I think that you have to upgrade your EXEC with O2 shiped Rom that you can find it on the ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com login using xda user and pass xda and under folder Universal, i am sure that you won't have problems olso sure that the phone is unlocked couse o2 is giving it sim lock free phones
Kind regards
HowlingWolf
Hi,
Thanks for that.
I clicked on the link but it does not work.
Also hw can i update the o2 when the screen does nothing?
I have no prompts only the o2 screen lights up.

Good luck,

Using A Vodaphone sim with the exec

Hi firstly id like to appolagise for my lack of knowledge im pritty new here.
basically my question is this, i have an xda exec which i would like to be able to use my vodaphone sim in from time to time to access the streaming tv from the vodaphone live site (as the screen is much smaller on my vodapnone phone) but i still want to use it with my o2 sim the rest of the time.
Any advise would be much apreciated but please bear in mind i am new so try not to blow my mind up
Thanks in advance.
GO for it!
As long as your vodafone sim is a USIM you'll have no issues! My Vodafone sim works fine in the XDA EXEC I recently purchased, as does my o2 PAYG sim!
Ra bless o2 for not Simlocking!
A problem has occrued, the sim works fine for calls but wont seem to connect to the net for me to access vodaphone live etc - im currently using the settings from this site - http://www.vodafone.co.nz/vlive/vlive_specifications.jsp however im not quiet sure that im not missing anything, any info or advise would be greatly apreciated and the cab file that sets up the vodaphone settings for the universal would be even better if anyone has it .....

help me some one how can i unlock my XDAIIs?

If you do a search you'll find a program to run on the phone which unlocks it
didn't even tell him what word to search for...
try `blueangel`+`simlock` and show me what works
