Desire stock apps can i remove them?

Ok i searched a litle and i did not find a thread with something like this for the desire.
I know it is possible to remove system apps link after you root the desire (and i intent to). But the thing is, what apps can i remove? Will remove them free some apps space?
I dont use stocks, facebook, tweeter, footprints, friend stream, teeter, quickoffice and News.
I want to use one of the mail applications gmail or mail aplications not both.
I use the clock with weather widget so i suppose i cannot uninstall News and weather application.
I found this list but is a bit dificult to understand all the dependencies the * ones...
So may question is what apps can i remove (from the list above) without messing up the system or other apps and if it frees some of the memory in the apps memory.

Click to collapse
Most of the apps you mentioned you can remove. However, it will only free up space on /system, which means you won't be able to use it to install applications unless you manually push them via ADB into /system/app.

... or you could use Titanium Backup to freeze them, which would inactivate them without actually deleting them.
So even if i delete them from the system i will not free space!!!
So what i can do is after uninstall the apps that are in System move some of the apps that i want to maintain into the system/apps (thats the place were the apps of the system are right?).
So this way i dont free space for apps but i occupy space that i normally couldn't use with the apps that i realy use...
Hum ill try to search a bit about moving apps.
Howl you know any links to speed up the search ?????
Thanks for your help...

Need advice on uninstalling apps...

I am running Uncommon Sense v1.1. I would like to uninstall a few apps:
Chrome to Phone
Facebook
Friend Stream
Hulu
News
Peep
Stocks
Talk
You Tube
I am familiar with Titanium Backup uninstall method but have some questions regarding the frameworks that accompany these apps. Anyone know of a place that describes exactly what can be uninstalled for this list? It's easy enough to head into Titanium Backup and just uninstall these 9 apps but I think it leaves behind some components that don't really need to be there. But at the same time I don't want to uninstall something that could be critical to another app functioning correctly.
Any help would be appreciated.
I removed Friend Stream, news, peep, stock with no problems at all, just move them to your sd card incase you need to put them back. Dont just delete them.
U can change the extention of thefile from .apk to .bak and leave them in their original folder

[Q] how do i create folders?

i wanna be able to organized my pics and music however i dont know how to make folders on my phone...its not rooted and i dont plan on to... so is there a way without rooting it? please help! many thanks!
If you are talking about folders on the home screen, just long press like you would to add an app, just hit folder instead.
If you are talking about on the sd card, use an app like Astro, or plug into a pc and add folders just like you would with windows.

[Q] Organize the SD card

is there any way to better organize the sd card? android was set up to simply dump all app data to the sd card. sometimes apps allow you to set the directory used for saving data, but the vast majority do not. i was wondering if there was a way to dump all app data into a single folder, and have all future app data saves default to that folder. this way i could have something like this:
music
videos
images
backups
app data
as my directory structure. perhaps partitioning the card would allow something like this effectively? that's not the ideal solution for obvious reasons, but i really dislike how everything is thrown together which makes it hard for me to find what i'm looking for. anyone look into this before?
I'm no developer but because some apps write their own directory by default i think it would be difficult. I think all the apps you use would need to be modified. Although some allow you to choose, most dont
Thats actually a great idea, were working on something like that now, so far is only able to clean temp Files from left behind but the next step is file organization and removing duplicate floders
Just Incredible

Why do I always have to reoganize my apps into folders after updates?

I don't know the Smartphone terms, so I'll just use PC terms.
in my Programs list (or maybe on a Smartphone it's actually "App Drawer"...I'm not sure), I've categorized a lot of my apps into folders. After awhile, and I'm assuming after an update, specifically, my apps seem to remove themselves from within folders I've created, but if that does happen, I then see them in the "root" (or just listed in the Programs list, and not in any folder).
I'm pretty sure that this was an issue on my previous phone (Droid Razr Maxx).
Is there a way to ensure that apps grouped into folders, "stick" ?
I don't know if the same behavior exists when copying the folders onto any one of my Desktop screens. Either way. it's annoying, because I keep having to re-group my apps. Any help on this issue?
I don't think other Launchers have this problem.
