Who has a Qtek 9090 and uses it with a OEM BMW BT carkit

If you do let me know if it works the way it should
I'm still having problems using my qtek 9090 on my 3 series BMW with a original BT carkit...
If yours works fine, please let me know wich software is on your PDA and which type of BMW you drive..
I have the following problem... The only way it works is; when I first swich on my car (so also the carkit) and then I activate the bt function on the pda. I also have a solution. That the bt function on my pda is off when the pda is off, but nobody can tell me how this is possible.
Thanks
I can use it as a dumb carkit but it does not sync the addressbook or the SMS
I have a Qtek9100 WM5.0 os 5.1.70 (Build 14420.1.1.0) ROM 1.1.7.5, radio version 01.01.10 and the car is an X3 330D
I found on several forums that you need to be at a higher version.
so if anyone knows how to only upgrade the Bluetooth or a sollution for us

Bluetooth headset with called ID

Has anyone tried a bluetooth headset with caller id which works with the jasjar/mda pro?
I have Sony Ericsson HBH-662, it works fine on XDA IIi, so it should work on jabra.
There is a discussion for this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=28320
The current conclusion is still, either go with SonyEricsson HBH-662 BT or the Jabra BT-800. But both still have problem displaying the caller ID, both will display the number instead of the contact name.
There is another review about the BT headset topic (very detail):
http://pocketpcdubai.com/i-mate_PPC/jasjar/reviewp4.html
I'm personally waiting until something better comes out unless you can live today with 'number only' caller ID.
Fredy
Unfortunately it's not the fault of the headsets that they only display the number. Both my HBH-660 and BT800 display the caller name with my se P910i.
HTC do not pass the caller name to the headset. None of their phones do. It's a crying shame.
I use HBH-200 that shows incoming callers number - but no nae im afraid tested it a mates xda-exec and it did display caller number-will give it a more intense workout onc iget my exec
it is a shame id love to get a bluetooth device like the HBH-200 that shows the callers name!!!! the 200 only does that with my v800
neva mind

I've been keeping an eye on this one too but I can't find any mention of a date or price anywhere.
Does anyone have any news on this?

Hi,
I am also watching for this headset. Not present yet at major shops. Was reportedly available at www.comptel.at, but now I see they have withdrawn the product from their list ... I am wondering what is this delay, afterall Nokia initially announced it for 3rd quarter 2005??

This one will make sense for universal , as taking a call after seeing who is calling takes ages & FM with stereo will be a great value add.
Cheers Taurus.

how did you config it to display caller name? I left everything as it is - and played with the callerID checkbox. nothing changed it displays only the number.
But my original question was that I cannot use this headset with my notebook (WinXP), is it possible? I've tried widcomm 5.x, 4.x drivers so far. my bluetooh hardware is CSR chip.
So does HS-12W work with JasJar?

Amazing Bluetooth

I have attempted to use Qtek 9000 with the Mercedes Benz C320 during a month.
ROM = 1.90.94wwe, AKU 3.2 or 3.3 or 3.5.
Bluetooth Mercedes Benz Module HMI B67875839 http://www.whnet.com/4x4/phones.html
1) I can pair the Motorola V3 with the MHI module, make and receive calls and also the MHI reads all contacts from the V3 SIM, that is it works fantastic.
2) With my Qtek 9000, I can do pair, receive and make phone calls but I could not make the MHI modules read the SIM contacts.
Yesterday I had a great surprise, I was using the Jabra 250v and entered in the Mercedes Benz, and forgot disconnect the Jabra 250v, I received a phone call and the MHI took care of it, for my astonishment the MHI had read all SIM contacts.
It concludes that if the QTEK 9000 is paired with the Jabra 250v and if you also pair the MHI, it reads the SIM contacts?
Somebody with experience in racking Bluetooth Registry has any suggestion?
What can I do?

Using a TomTom x20 with WM6 (DUN Enabled)

Thanks to this excellent forum I have managed to improve my Orbit / HTC 3300 and
Upgrade to WM6 (using O2's ROM image)
Enable/Install Dial Up Networking through Bluetooth
What I would like to do now is fully connect to my shiny new TomTom 720. I can get the Handsfree and Wireless data working, but it won't recognise my SMS inbox nor allow me to access the messages.
TomTom has hopeless documentation and M$ aren't much better.
Is it possible?
How can I do it?
I'm sure someone out there can help (and I'd be very grateful!)
Cheers,
Neil
