Try www.expansys.com. They sell SIM free xda IIs disguised as " i-mate PDA2K Pocket PC", as well as xda II alias "i-mate Pocket PC". It may be worth while to check the prices in different locations - they seem to vary a lot. A list of places offering the xda IIs can be found in http://www.expansys.de/error.asp?exit=015&data=I-MATE_III.
You also may considering deShop.
They've got the Imate version and the Qtek version. They also got a lot off accessories for the devices, like cases... they're really the only shop I found with so much accessories!!
I bought there the Imate PDA2K, the Piel Frama case, brodit holder, and just made I new order for the Imate JAM, brodit holder and an alucase for the PDA2K.
They 've nice services and very good prices... even shipping to Belgium (this shop is located in the Netherlands)
Good luck with your search...

Tweakers.net pricewatch checks the price in several online stores in countries around the Netherlands.
The site is all in dutch, but you can see the prices and the references the the e-shops, whose websites should be in english.

Possible to Buy a SIM Free XDAIIi?

Hi,
Is it possible to buy a sim free XDAIIi, which can be used outside UK.
I checked with the O2 shop in London, and they said they only sell it on with a plan, which means Sim locked.
If it is available in any country, i can have it bought.
It is still not available in Hong Kong and O2 Asia Pac says they have no clue when it will be launched.
Thanks for any advice.
Best regards
Khawar

Near the bottom.
Although it is sim free you will have to check with them if it is locked or not.

Is the MDA pro sim locked?

I heard the MDA Pro is locked and only can use T-mobile sim card, is it ture?
yes, i'm too
Netlock: True
Hi,
the MDA Pro from T-Mobile is not SIMlocked but Netlocked. If you buy the MDA Pro without a card contract you will get the unlock code for free. If you bought it with a contract and got the device for less than 749€ , then you have to pay for the unlockcode (99€).
Cheers
This ONLY is valid for German devices, purchased by German residents in German shops. T-Mobile in the Netherlands stated that they will NOT offer the same service, and T-Mobile Germany stated they will NOT offer this services to foreign machines.
msmobiles
...
seems that ....
T-Mobile MDA Pro is indeed SIM locked (at least these models now on sale) but under phone number 01805330160 one can get unlock code after providing IMEI number of this phone - if the phone was purchased without subscription
..
I'm expecting an MDA Pro bought without contract and hope that this is true.
Ups...
Sorry, I didn't know that. I thought that the TM procedures regarding this are the same in every country.
Cheers

I can confirm the whole thing.
Bought the MDA Pro from Germany and I have received in 4 hours the simlock code for free.
Now to the english ROM !!!!
Copy that!
Called T-Mobile Customer Service a few minutes ago and they told me that you will get the unlocking code for free if you paid the full price without a bundled contract.
With a 24 month contract the unlocking code will cost 99,50 EUR.
And if you wait 24 month you'll get the code for free also
I have sent my invoice to them and now I wait for my code

T-mobile say no to win mob 6

Apologises if ppl are aware, but just to let you know T-mobile UK have confirmed they are not to release win mob 6 for vario 2.
Although I understand the reasons I find this annoying and shows a lack of support for present and existing devices.
part of the email sent to myself goes onto state...
"T-Mobile UK will be including Windows Mobile 6 on all new MDA devices
that are launched, starting with the MDA Touch in July and MDA Vario III
in September.
The existing devices in the portfolio will continue with Windows Mobile
5 for the remainder of their lives."
I asked T-Mobile in the Netherlands several months ago the seem question, and they said that there will be no ROM upgrade for the Vario II.
If you ask my opinion? I don't care, I like the cooked ROM's found on XDA!
So many benefits of home cooked ROMS(No more annoying t-mobile splash screens, no more pink soft buttons), huge storage, stable...go on go on!

I agree. I like most of the cooked roms here, and my Vario II has found renewed life due to roms like Schaps which is what is currently running on it. T-mobile also don't vale loyal customers that have 4 lines with them as I asked for an Ameo free as an upgrade to only 1 of those lines and they flat out refused me. sad to see they've gotten too big for their pants that they've forgotten who pays their wages by getting loyal multi line rental customers who spend well over £100 a month just in line rental alone not counting the addition services I get. They seem to think they can make up revenue in new subscribers rather then keep loyal ones

Some people don't want to invalidate their warranty by flashing different ROM's.
If HTC, O2 and other networks around the world can release WM6 why can't T-Mobile??? They're taking the p*ss!!
Lets all bombard them with e-mails!!
Hi there ...
I got an answer from T-Mobile Germany ... an they will release a WM6 for Vario II.
Sehr geehrter Herr M. ,

Hope, that someone will be able to share T-Mobile WM6 GER
As has already been posted, the ROM thing isn't too relevant unless you're worried about warranty.
What's really annoyed me today is that I'm due an upgrade on my VarioII and, although I'm holding out for a Kaiser, I thought I'd look at the online upgrades. I'm appalled to see that upgrading my phone, compared with taking out a new contract is more expensive. For example, a Nokia 8600 is a £290 upgrade or £170 on a new contract. WTF!!!

thats t-mobile loyalty for you, there aint non!
i have in the past transfered my number to a different network pay as you go, and take out a new t-mobile contract and transfer the number back to save £100ish
Before we continue slagging off T-mobile Uk. I will stand by them when it comes to customer service... no other service provider gives a better service, better tariffs and better phone options. I've the experince of how little orange know of cs... after complaining to them about billing they made excusses and fobbed me off.
The point to the thread is I was disappointed and feel if microsoft had not released any service packs for their OS's then businesses and many private users would merely walk away and buy into another os. We as contract holders are bound by the term of contract. I believe in the uk we are kind of lucky as we have our phone heavily subsides. where as other countries don't. But this doesn't excuse any company of applying the stack the products high and sell them cheap attitude without the assumption that both parties have made a commitment.

e-sim provider in Germany

I live in the netherlands. There are no dutch Telco's offering esim for use in my Galaxy Watch.
However, I heard that in Germany there are telco's offering esim (tmobile for one).
Are there any people here that can advise me on whether (and if so how) to obtain a german esim for use with my RM-805U ?
greetings Henro
I never heard any success since Gear S2... S3...
To use device outside """Region Lock"""...
eSIM seems nothing Oh yeah, we can it use everywhere in the world...
Not in Samsung world.
You have US device... preconfgured for USA:
Code:
ATT
T-Mobile
Verizon
Sprint...
So IMHO NOT eSIM stuff from Netherlands nor Germany nor any other country outside USA...
Maybe it has something todo with IMEI and other Security crap...
I can not find much about eSIM Hacking...
On Google maybe few Chinese users found way for iPhone... to use in China...
Only as info.
Best Regards
