Please can some one help me , by giving me tips that would help me to purchase a pocket pc phone edition from e bay? I am in india and these things cost a fortune if at all they are available here . So i have decided to purchase one from e bay . Although i musterd up this courage to do online purchase now i am stuck with other concern .
These beauties are manufactured by different brands and their service providers are different .
Will i be able to UNLOCK these beauties so that i can use them in my country ?
Would you guys help me to unlock this phone if i purchase it ?
I am so worried and need all the support i can get from you guys.
Please if some one could tell me what exactly to look for to buy , so that once i have it , i can unlock it simply with your help and support .

Read the guy's feedback. He's already sold this software and it doesn't work. His response to the feedback was pretty feeble. AVOID!

hi to all, I have bought the software from this guy ,but it doesn’t work ,he must of got it from here , first he send me the unlocking v1.6 witch I believe is for mda compact (magician & others), then after I emailed him that is useless he send me back 2 different unlocking version again is version 1.3 and version 2.2 witch again I believe is from this website, he told me if it doesn’t work he refund me after I live him positive feedback!!.
note; I have tried this unlocking in my spv m5000 from orange and no luck, I think is just trying to make few quid from eBay and see if any of this unlocking tools work for anyone!!

I presume you are not in France therefore your bouygues telecom sim doesn't work? Or maybe you want a pay-as-you-go sim. The only way I know to get a free sim unlock code is from a carrier and I have no idea if bouygues telecom will give you one. Of course it would mean signing up for their service.
bouygues is for my mother but always put in the house
and I are sure that there is geniuses in this site can unlocking my defy

Each phone has a unique unlock code and there are several places that offer the service, but they cost money. Maybe you can get some ideas here.

in egypt it is impossible to find accessories or even the phone since it is only sold in the US/Canada
other things that might be compatible will not fit exactly or look as good as the ones designed for this phone
best thing to do is buy them off ebay. search for t989 cover/battery/screen protector etc ...

My phone is stuck in boot loop and I am unable to get it to unlock.
I am thinking of sending it to HTC for repair. But I am afraid they will directly suggest replacing Motherboard.
Is this true? Or does anyone know if they try to repair Motherboard using JTAG or something. I don't want to spend a lot on a 2 year old phone.

In India HTC service centers are now taken by TVS electronics
They will definitely know that u unlocked the device as it happened to me tooo
Finally I wud suggest if u stay in delhi
Then ..go to gaffar market and get it fixed

Actually, at present I am in Los Angeles. So I am not going to Delhi anytime soon. But thanks a lot for the information.
