e-Trex to i-Mate cable? - General Accessories

Can anyone suggest a supplier for the above connector? I intend to get the TomTom 5 kit at some point but figured I should use what I have for a while first for the price of a cable.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the first one would work as the others are all for IPAQ type machines and not the mini usb type needed for the i-Mate JAM.

Jasjar serial cable

Anyone know if an RS232 cable is available for the Jasjar yet or have I got to use one of these awful RS232/USB convertors?
Regards

A converter isn't going to work. They all require a USB Host port.
yes
also interested into this old fashionned but necessary tool to console to routers for example.
so up for this topic
I am interested also.
I was thinking about this a while back though. I think the only way this is going to work really is through a bluetooth or IR adapter.
Obviously those would require external power. Doing it with an IR adapter should be relatively easy to program, something along the lines of a PIC 16F64 or 18F452 would be more than enough. However, would it be usable? When controlling a router I would like to use the keyboard. The IR points dirctly towards the user.
However, I have little experience in how BT works, so would not be able to even think on how that would work.

Perhaps this might point you in the right direction...

Its a guide to making a GPS IRDA but I'm sure it could be suitably modified.
Bluetooth to usb
How about this: http://www.neteon.net/cat.aspx?clvl=3&c1=1&c2=177&c3=107
It's a serial to Bluetooth dongle. I don't see any WM drivers but I would think that the bluetooth stack on the latest "cooked" ROMS would support serial host since that is what most bluetooth GPS receivers use.
If it wheren't for the $108 price tag I would grab one of these myself and see if it worked.
Maybe in a few weeks. If someone else gets a chance to try this one, please post here and let us know.

External Antenna Adapter for I-Mate JasJar needed

As I have some times a bad GSM / GPRS signal I would like to connect an external antenna to my I-Mate JasJar. All my efforts to find a connector which fit to the small JasJar connector failed. I-Mate Support suggested Expansy and they worked hard to find one, but without success.
Also different web stores specialized in mobile antennas I have unsuccessfully contacted already!
Please, does anyone of this knowledgeable forum know from where I can purchase an External Antenna Adapter or External Antenna for my JasJar?
I would be glad for any assistance!
Thanks,
Martin
No responds to my inquery of External Antenna Connector?????

Badly I need an external antenna connector for the JasJar!

A little patience dude, some people here get to log on only once a week.
Check out this site : http://www.lacasadelgps.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=21_41
They have lots of antennas for GSM/GPS. I don't know what the connector of the Universal is called.
There are other sites here in Spain that sell stuff like this but i need the name of the connection before i search for you.
I don't know what the connector of the Universal is called!
Hi Jorgee,
Thank you so much for the information!
As I don’t know how this antenna sockets of the JasJar are named I have send an e-mail to the web-shop you have suggested.
No one could tell me how the JasJar socket for the external antenna is called, that’s why it is difficult to find one.
I-Mate support directed me to Expansy and the Expansy support service have tested all antennas available in there store, but no one was compatible.
Desperately I need an external antenna and I am surging 4 month for it already!
Let’s wait and see!
Again Thanks a lot!
Martin
Have any of you find proper connector ???
No luck and I don’t know who else can help!
No, unfortunately all forums I have surged and asked for no one knows the right connector.
I send also e-mails to HTC Taiwan and I-mate, HTC did not responded at all.
No luck and I don’t know who else can help! :x
See the other thread ...
See this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=34501.
There still appears to be no connector available. I got the official answer from imate techsupport of what the connector on the phone was ( http://wiki.xda-developers.com/uploads/MHCH196.pdf ), but no one seems to have the adaptor for it yet. So I finally just made my own. Hopefully, one will come out soon. Tech support said to keep any eye on Expansys for one, although, I had some horrible experiences with them so I do not intend to purchase anything from them again.

Nokia Pop-port to MiniUSB

Hi fellas!
I'm the somewhat happy owner of the HTC Artemis (P3300). In my car is installed a hands-free kit from Nokia (due to my earlier phone was a Nokia 6230). As I don't feel like getting a new hands-free kit (if it's even available) the question is if I can convert the plug coming from the Nokia MBC-15S into the miniUSB port of the P3300 (and probably other miniusb-based phones).
The plug in the Nokia device is called a Pop-Port - I found a brief description of it on http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-Nokia/nokia_pop_pinout.shtml ..
You guys know if there's a product out there ?!
Thanks in advance!
Martin

i was also wondering if the above was possible?
this would go some way to getting this hermes working with a nokia car kit..
I'll ask around..

looking for a blueangel

Hi...
Don't know if I'm allowed, so if not: admin can remove my post, no prob...
I am looking for a BlueAngel device for testing with Linux installation etc...
Device may be in (heavily) used state, battery time more than 2 minutes is not necessary.
What need to be ok is: screen, touchscreen, keyboard, gsm radio...
Anyone want to sell an old (double) device for a small price, let me know!
Thanks!
Moved the thread out of WM6. See no problem with this request.

FS: Blue Angel
I have one for sale. It's branded T-Mobile MDA. The bluetooth function is not working but everything else is good, including battery. Very small nicks, and no scratches on screen (that I can see).
Currently running a stock T-Mobile UK 1.42 shipped ROM. I also tested it on WM6 and it ran it too but I went back to 2003SE.
Comes w/ USB + serial 2-in-1 cable (charging via USB or the DC jack on the cable).
Also comes w/ a cigarette lighter charger (third party).
I'm in Vancouver, Canada. Will ship out of country.
$175. + shipping.
[I do not have the docking station, nor the AC charger, or other except as listed above.]

if it's onboard, how the heck was that done?
