But with £35 postage costs!!!!!

Last night I lost a 512 card.
Putting the Jasjar in my pocket, the natural way to put it in is Camera Up, SD Down. the SD Card has pressed on some coinage in the pocket and 1/2 ejected its self and fell out when I took the device out of my pocket. Im glad it wasnt a 2/4gb i lost or id be really pissed!

I think I will be putting a little piece of black electrical tape over the SD card hole... not very pretty, but better than losing 4 GB of data...

Has anyone actually tried a transcend 4 GB SD card on their O2 Exec?

htc universal max sd memory
Is there a limit to the data storage size of the SD card you can use in the universal?
Thanks

I've got a Transcend 4GB SD card running on my MDA Pro. It works like a breeze. 2GB of mp3s, 1.2GB wikipedia, lots of programs.

I have A DATATurbo SD 4GB & it works fine but it gives an error when i set the camera to save to Storage card when i try to take a photo

possible to add second sd slot ?

i rember about a couple of years ago there was a device that was like a little external hdd for your phone that u can add on and tape to the out side of yor phone http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/340/C6598/ well i was wondering if they can make something like this. isnt it possible for someone to make like a really thin sd card reader so we can add a second 4gb sd card and stuff it behind the battery cover.

o2 Orbit (Atermis) MicroSD woes

Hi All,
My micro SD slot seems to be broken (
Does anyone know how to fix these? I think one of the lugs that holds the metal cage on has snapped - quite how, I dont know. It means it is only held on in 3 sides
This means that it isnt recognising any SD card I put in it - which sort of kills the whole idea of the phone for me... 64mb isnt enough!
Thanks in advance for any ideas

Lexar 32GB Class 10 SDHC

Got my last Saturday and loving life!!! Capacity and performance.
About the same speed as my 16GB SanDisk Ultra
How much did you pay for it?
~$103 @ Amazon free shipping.
i got the same card, and i'm actually thinking it feels slower than my 32gb sandisk class 2 card... the class 2 card tested between class 4 and 6. this lexar seems to read quickly, but the write speed is average at best.
actually.. just tested again after formatting the card within windows using FAT32 and a 32k allocation unit size. It is performing at near class 10 speeds now. i'm writing at 9MB/s and reading at 24MB/s.
prior to the reformat, i believe it was at a 16k allocation unit size.
and what's up with the comment before? dude got a problem with option94? lol
@people who own this card:
Is there no way to properly reformat the card on the phone? Did it perform poorly until reformatted in Windows?
I've been holding off on a new microSDHC card, due to the high rate of knock-offs flooding the market. It's down to this, or the expensive Sandisk. The problem is, it seems like it's hard to get a genuine product, even from Amazon sellers (according to some reviews).
im not sure if the phone properly formats or not. it takes too long for me to transfer all my files back and forth...
but my initial format seemed kinda slow. did tests and it seemed to choke.
reformatted using windows with a larger allocation unit size and it seems to fly now.
i can't vouch for any other sellers but i bought it from amazon (sold BY amazon) with the free super saver shipping. it seems pretty genuine to me. not sure how else i can tell if it's fake or not. it came with a microSDHC reader.
Thanks for the info. I placed my order, and I'm looking forward to having a decent number of space on my phone. Pity it doesn't come back in stock for 2-4 weeks.
what should the allocation unit size (cluster size) be for the stock 8GB sandisk card?

It is up to you choose your preferred allocation unit size when formatting. In simple words, lower allocation unit size = less speed, more space. higher allocation unit size = more speed, less space.

Check Your SD Connector

I know we have alot of memory but I just wanted an SD card for xfer programs, so I decided to insert one, well I had a loose connector, when I would apply slight pressure by putting the back cover on/holding..etc. I would lose the SD card.
Went back and got a replacement.

checked mine, it's okay...maybe you got a dud?
It could of been, and I am glad I caught it right away.
I was just upset cause I had it setup just the way I liked it, now I have to start all over again.......lol.
i thought i may have had the same problem...but i removed and put the card back in, gave a few good shakes, drops on carpet and it looks good. so i dont need to return.

[Q] G2 Issue: This is seriously giving me a headache

Ok so I dropped my HTC G2 (not rooted) and the battery popped out, but there was no physical damage. The spring pops back into place when I insert my SD card. I popped the battery back in and immediately noticed that when the phone turned on, it wasn't recognizing my SD card.
I went into settings and then Storage, where it says that the Total space available on the SD card is 'unavailable' and the Mount SD card option is whited out.
I clicked Erase SD Card, which was the only option on that menu that I could click on, but the message that popped up was SD Card Has Been Removed, when in fact it's still in the slot.
I connected my phone to my laptop, and usually I would get a message asking me to connect manually through my phone to my computer. Once I click connect on my phone, then only would my computer be allowed to access the SD card on my phone. I didn't get any such notification on my phone now.
I also cannot use USB tethering so that I can use my 4G service on my laptop.
I turned my phone off, turned it on, hard-reset it, factory reset it, used another SD card, formatted all SD cards to FAT 32, turned on USB debugging, but NOTHING is working and I really don't know what to do anymore.
I don't care about the data that's on my card at the moment (well there actually is none considering I formatted it), I just need a functional SD card for music, apps, and data etc.
I've looked ALL over the internet, but no one specifically has my problem.
Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to be as specific as possible, and I also apologize if this is a noob question, but I really don't know what to do and really need some help.
Any advice or resolution to this is appreciated.
Thank you!
Sounds like the SD card tray may have been damaged in the fall, for which there is no easy fix.
"not rooted"
ur lucky
try and get a warranty replacement (or fix) for it
yeah if you have issurance a replacement is your best bet.
does your phone vibrate? if not i bet either the flex ribbon connecting the sd card port is damaged or disconnected in some way. or the whole port is bad. usually less than 15usd on ebay or amazon or wherever. takes maybe 15 min to replace
update/response
UPDATE: the seal that's supposed to indicate that there has been water damage is pink. Don't know if that's a good thing or bad, but I've never dropped it in water and never noticed the pink before, it's always been white.
ALSO FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO MINUTES TODAY, IT RECOGNIZED MY SD CARD BUT SAID IT WAS DAMAGED AND NEEDED TO BE REFORMATTED. I CLICKED REFORMAT BUT IT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. I TOOK IT OUT TO PUT IN ANOTHER SD CARD AND IT WENT BACK TO THE SAME STORY.
Don't have insurance, I bought it off of someone else.
My phone does vibrate.
How can I fix the SD card tray?
BTW thanks for all the responses, i'm really grateful for it.
Put bleach on the end of a q tip to turn the water damage indicators back to white

I'd take it to a cell phone repair store for the rest. I took mine in after I fried it playing golf in the rain. 70 and they gave me a new battery
