External aerial - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Accessories

Can anyone recommend a compatible GSM aerial I can attach to the JJ
It has two aerial connections, one for GSM and one for 3G.
At home I have poor GSM reception and no 3G and the JJ seems far worse at picking up a signal here compared to my Sony K750i
Or can someone tell me the connection type used for GSM on the JJ so I can do some research myself via Google

I have a similar problem and would also like to hear of an ariel to use at home.

anybody???
I'm in thane.... using Airtel. Have had no issues with network reception with the Uni. Have u accidently set the phone band to PCS 1900?
If one switches to PCS 1900 then the handset will never search for Netwrok. There could b issue with the internal antenna.Search the forum, how to fix the antena for better reception or go to the nearest service center to fix the issue.
Me too, using JASJAR on Airtel more than a year...no such serious issues
I am also using Universal on Airtel Network without anyproblems.
Hi, check out my experience, I think you are suffering the same thing I did:

The best way is to get a complete GSM antenna like I did.
Best regards!

Hi,
I will try to upgrade the radio. Which one do would you advice for best gsm reception (don't care about bluetooth/wifi/battery) ?
Anyway, as I'm living in a foreign country near my operator's country, I can get a signal but often very bad, I would still be interested in an antena solution to improve the reception. So if anybody as something about it...
signal problem solved
hi every one
i also had the same problem. i flashed my prophet with every version of windows and gsm rom but it didnt work. then i opened the prophet and straightened the antena connectors and then packed it, it worked full signals.
so check your antena connectors inside your phone.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus Parts -Antenna-

Hello everyone. I am looking to buy an Antenna replacement for my i9250. Any suggestions? I can't find any vendor online. I really want to use this phone, but the Antenna is not working well
Many Thanks!
What kind of issues are you having? How have your narrowed it down to a hardware antenna fault?

Click to collapse
Well, after going through many hours of flashing radios, back to stock, etc, the phone only picks signal at certain areas (full signal, AT&T), Tmobile also...then it drops it, no bars, nothing..I got tired and decided to drop it off at the "smartphone clinic" near home. They told me it was an antenna issue (I guess they know more than me) but they couldn't locate the part online (neither did I) so any advice is appreciated. If you have additional advice on SW, I'll try it!
Thank u

Cellular version vs Wi-Fi w/ 3G Dongle

Hey guys, couldn't find anything on google.
Could any of you give me some information regarding this?
I'm wondering whether to buy the LTE version or just get the non-LTE and use a 3g Dongle. Which one would have a better signal reception? ( I would most likely buy a huawei 3g dongle)
By the way, I am installing this in my car so having a good signal is paramount. Also, we don't have to worry about the 3g dongle being an obstructive addon as everything will be hidden behind the middle compartment.
I have a Nexus 7 2012 installed atm and GPS loses it's signal when I enter the city with buildings everywhere.
So hence I don't want to experience the same thing with my new nexus upgrade.
Any ideas or suggestions to my new upgrade would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim.
You'll lose gps no matter what. Buildings are always an issue. Happens all the time. Better to plan your route turn by turn and look at the list as you go.
Now what you could do is possibly try an external bluetooth gps puck and see if that has any impact?
As far as reception goes it depends on where you're at and what your coverage is like. You'll always have better luck with a mifi and an external antenna. The nexus non lte is much cheaper too. But either choice won't change your GPS troubles.
