Camera on WM5 fix - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi anybody,
I have gone through the forum and found no luck on how to fix the camera after installing the WM5 on my XDA IIs (Everything works fine after intalling the final patch except the camera).
Or the question should be, is there already a fix for it?
I can open the camera apps, however when I want to take a photo/video and try to click it can't capture anything.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you very much.

did you install the camera fix patch fromt he wiki??
cos i used that and that worked a treat! 8)

Me to. I have sendt several MMS messages with my own pictures.

Thanks very much for your speedy reply, I have played around it and found out that for me to take the picture I need to press the enter button on the keyboard screen, which is quite not normal. Is there any tweaks or button fix so I can restore it to original setting?
Thanks again and more power to this forum.....
Regards,

thank you very much

Before u POST i think u should try it first!!! change u'r device at landscape mode, open u'r hardware keyboard then close it, is it still at landscape mode lol? already answered? Not yet i think
calm down
Seems not so easy to make permanent change to landscape... yes, if you change in settings, all is ok until you open the kb and close it.
Take a look at this post from Wizard forum... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=304136 (find searching in google )
Seems like need to change the sensor who make the change when open/close the kb.
What about a little research?
Regards.
You can just stick a magnet to the side of the phone by where the call keys are at and that'll keep your phone in landscape mode

Yes, sure i know too the issue with magnet and the camera sensor...
But really seems the fix for this is not so easy...i've tried same changes on the registry, but no success.
Well, now i have mapped the Camera button to the Rotate Screen function (this can be done in Settings /System /Screen), so i can change back to landscape pressing only one button, when close the keyboard.
Regards.

Recording audio using hardware button

My original Vario used button 5 to record my voice when I held the button for a few seconds. I recently installed Black Shadow and I have lost this functionality.
I have tried using the Buttons settings to reconfigure Button 5 (held) but I can't see the audio recording function in the list of available functions.
Any ideas?
Bobby
There is a cab for this somewhere called "wmxl v0.10 button 5 to record fix" I have it that I could mail over to you just let me know

Thanks for posting the fix Avengerpenguin. I've been trying to get this function back.
I've installed the CAB, but no love. Am I missing a step?

have you tried to select that feature through the settings screen for button assignment. I had to switch min to a diffrent feature that i wanted using that control.
Maybe this will help
Not sure if anyone can get their hands on one, but my father just got the HTC Kaiser, and it comes pre-programmed to use the record button to start a voice note in the standard notes program. I have no idea how to pull off the programming but everything needed, i imagine is done and in the phone already.
Tried selecting record feature to a button. Found that the "Record" shortcut does not function. Probably miss-programmed. Anyone know what the shortcut should be?
Bringing this BTT since I'm also having this same issue..

You must first install a cab file that removes or re-assigns the BTT button, then install the Cab file to create a record button 5.

Button Setup? looking everywhere and i cant find it

Hey guys, hopefully someone out there can help me out. Im looking for that porgram that allows you to choose which every button does. I recenrtly flashed to CRC's stable rom, and the commanager and camera buttons arent working. Ive tried searching for the program, but all i find is Keyswop which is for the soft keys and a bunch of threads leading to the kaiser 10 button manager. Problem With My Dash

I purchased the Tmobile Dash from someone used. After getting it home I found out that the 4 and 5 buttons when pressed actually register 1 and 2. The 6 button will press and sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Thanks

PSShutXP Power Button

hi!
I've installed PSShutXP and it works like a charm!
I was wondering how I can change the Power Button settings to assign PSShutXP to Power Button!
Registry? Tweak?
Thanks
I don't know if this would work on the TP2, but for the kaiser, you just go to psshutxp's folder (in program files if it's installed to your device) and copy the .exe, then go to the windows folder and make a shortcut and name it short_power or long_power depending on if you want it for just a short press or a long, delayed press. let me know if this works, I'd like to be able to still do this when I get my TP2
now working!

sorry just to clarify:
the shortcut I offered worked right?? I wanna know so that when I get the TP2 I can use shortcuts like that.
and does the power button actually turn the phone off?? cos when I installed psshutxp on my tilt the power button just turned the screen off. but it didn't turn the PHONE off
You can find an updated PSshutXP cab file that replaces the LongPowerButton press here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475762
Hi, i just looked at the homepage of psshutxp, however i fail to see what additional benefits i get from this program? Anything that this program does seems to be already built into the preinstalled software. Am i missing something here?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2772543&postcount=34
this is an alternative to psshutxp. I don't know how this version works, but I've used Dave Shaw's previous version of this app, and it works great!! the power icon actually shut down my tilt! just do the same shortcut for it, and it show work!!

I'll start looking at fancy stuff like this again once I get V1 out. It shouldn't be too hard... (famous last words)

oh shoot it never occurred to me that the version you made for the Tilt wasn't the right resolution for the TP2. sorry Deiota!!!
I can't get the skins to work. I copied all the images to the application's folder but still getting the original screen. I even tried rebooting the TP2.
Did I miss a step? Thx
