SIM-unlock Excalibur/DASH - HTC Excalibur

Hi:
Does the xda-developers' Wizard unlocking utility work with the Excalibur/DASH?
I'm only interested in SIM-unlocking.
Failing that, what's the e-mail address that you used to contact T-Mobile to request a SIM-unlock code?
Thanks for any help.

Please do a search--there is no free unlocker available yet for the Dash. You can get the device commercially unlocked from imei-check.co.uk for about $38 or you can CALL T-Mo for an unlock code. The email address for unlock requests at T-Mobile stopped working years ago.

Thanks for the info re: the old TMo address not working.
I did do a search. Thanks so much for the tip.
I have used imei-check.co.uk twice before.
I was looking for a non-$38 option.

If you have service with T-mobile, call them and they will give you the code in less than two days. I just got mine today.

I used this to send an email to T-Mobile and got my Nokia 6030 unlocked.
This information is from www.howardforums.com T-Mobile WiKi.

Thanks for that link. I didn't know about the new email address to get an unlock code. The old one was [email protected] but of course there is no more VStream

Unlock GSM phone from T-mobile
If you are a T-mobile customer they will send you the unlocking code for free usually in a day or two if you have been with them for longer than 90 days.
With regards to the email address for t-mobile- I went on the website and contacted them through the website and got a reply from here: [email protected]
They asked me for the following information:
1. Mobile Number
2. PIN CODE/ LAST 4 SS#
3. IMEI (DAIL *#06#)
4. EMAIL
5. MAKE AND MODEL
Once I replied back with the needed info they opened an unlock ticket with their unlocking department and in a day they sent me an email with the unlock code.
Most carriers now will send you the unlock code for free so check with your carrier if you are not with T-mobile
Hope that helps

t-mobile and text messaging to an email addresses

I was wondering if this was possible? Anyone here have T-mobile? I have their Pay as you go sim card with my O2 xda iis. I'm able to text message my wife's cell phone using her phone number in the address bar, but don't know how to text message an email address directly. I called T-mobile tech support number and the guy wasn't sure it could be done because they don't brand this pocket pc. I walked to the t-mobile store here on Market next to the Montgomery bart station and the guy said that I would need a data plan to do this. Plus, he seemed a little to unsure of what he was saying to me.
So, if any of you guys know how to do this please let me know.
Gracias
im not to sure but i belive i was able to do it but thru mms.
I do know you can send a text via e-mail using "10-digit cell num"@tomomail.net and then you can reply to that sms and it will return to the sender's e-mail address

[SOLVED] SMSC for three UK (can't send SMS messages)

Heya guys,
I've found several source through google giving me "SMSC" numbers, and a couple of converter websites.
None of them work for me so far - so I was hoping a three UK user could help me out in here.
Can anyone on the three network please check their SMSC for me and post it in here if possible?
Mine's reporting to be "00", and I think this is the root cause of my SMS sending failures.
In order to view, please type:
*#*#4636#*#*
go into Phone Information
Scroll down to SMSC and hit "refresh" to get the number.
I've already sent an email to 3 support, and I'll be calling them next week if I can't resolve the issue.
Thanks

It has a linebreak in it. Not sure if that was supposed to be there, so I maintained it here. Apologies if it's not what you needed
EDIT: On that note: can I recommend @threeuksupport's Twitter account - they tend to be much prompter than email and much less outsourced than phoning them. Same goes for most companies, actually. It's great, even if you register a Twitter account just for harassing companies.
thanks very much for that number. It worked perfectly!
The line break is purely wrapping...
MMS still doesn't work, but that's a minor concern right now.. And thanks for the twitter comment, I might just go ahead and do that.
thanks for this seem when I rooted in lost this, the btw just type the whole number no spaces.....

Someone is reading my SMS

Hello guys. My phone is Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 with CM 11 official nightlies. For more than 6 months I know that someone that I know is reading my SMS but I don't know how. Every month when I receive a receipt for my mobile plan via SMS, he is contacting me on facebook(usually) and he tells me: "Hello buddy, do you know that you need to pay your mobile carier XXXXX", where XXXX is the exact amount that I received via SMS a couple of hours earlier. This is realy anoying because I receive confidential information as well as my personal chat. I know that I can go to the police and even sew him but I at least have some decency because he used to be a good friend of mine.
One thing that I can't explain to myself is that I used to use ParanoidAndroid, roughly 3-4 months ago and even tho I changed my Android OS to CM11 with all the neceserry factory and data resets, he still have access to my SMS. He never had access to my phone since the first time he told me what amount I need to pay to my carier.
I would greatly appreciate your help guys. Thanks.
If you've done a full wipe when switching roms, he isn't getting it from your phone. Most likely he knows your credentials to log into whatever carrier you have and is either looking there or has set it up to SMS his number too when you are billed.
Btw, police aren't going to be able to do anything other than contact him and ask him to stop. Without proof he's broken a law, they are pretty limited on what they can do (if you live in the US anyway).
If his location (Sofia) is correct, he is probably in Bulgaria.
Regardless, the first thing I would do is update your account information with your mobile carrier. Change your username, password, and email address if able.

[Q] Samsung $200 Trade In Offer Submission

I was able to submit 1 of my 2 Note 4 purchases successfully but I received the dreaded "Invalid IMEI" error on the second one. Anyone else have luck?
I sent in my trade-in phone last week, do we get some official credit receipt that must be submitted? I obviously have the phone receipt.

In your case you need to submit through regular mail with the photo of your IMEI number.

You don't think there is anyway they will fix it like they did for all the issues with the TMobile submissions?

Did you try remove the ‘0x’ from the “HEX MEID” at the beginning of the number before entering??

I only see an IMEI that begins with a 9. Should I have a HEX MEID and can you point me in the right direction?

Check Settings > About phone > Status, should have 2 format, one is IMEI and the other is HEX MEID. Also pull the battery and you should see in side the back cover. If no good then you need to use mail in instead of using the web portal.

There is no HEX MEID on mine but I did receive an email from Prizelogic indicating that to wait a few days because they receive an updated list from Samsung every few days. This makes sense and it's consistent with what others have reported as well as my 2 phones (the first one shipped from Verizon is in their system).

Sim Unlock Free!! Help Me to help you

Message me
Hopefully we can figure out FREE sim unlock.
I did for M9 and Desire 626 so far. See thread for proof http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/sim-unlock-method-t3143333
this seems interesting. hopefully somebody could try it
If you are locked to ATT, its pretty easy to do so.
att . com/deviceunlock/#/
Just complete the form and it you get the unlock code immediately. Be sure to confirm from the email, and then dont wait for the next email but go immediatly to the "check device unlock request status" or something like that(its a link they will give you once you confirmed the request).
