MDA Vario English ROM - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I have currently a Dutch ROM on my MDA Vario. Can any one help me with changing the language from Dutch to English.
I have gone through a number of posts about ROM language change and to be very honest I am very confused with the different ROM (radio, extended etc) and would appreciate step by step instructions for updating my ROM and instructions on where to find the files.
Change I upgrade my ROM to t-mobile english version or should I use a QTek ROM as suggested by a salesman in the T mobile shop or is there any other stable version which you would recommend. Your help will be much appreciated.
For your information, my phone has a G3 processor and I have recently updated it to the latest version from the t-mobile site (Dutch).
Regards
LC

Disappointed that no one has been able to help. Would really really appreciate any help I can get.
By the way, my MDA Vario is SIM lock free.
What does the abbreviation WWE mean in the ROM update file ? is this the English version. Please help.

Please help me with MDAII german ver. of ROM upgrade!

Iv just upgraded the ROM ver. 1.60.00WWE to 1.72.01GER and then I understend that my translator to Russion version wont work with German ver. but i dont no how to change back the operetion or where I can find WWE version PLEASE HELP !!!
You have to look at the O2 or t-mobil-site of GreatBritain for example, where the standard updates will be for free, I guess. That's the way in Germany. t-mobil and O2 both have the update for 1.72-version for everybody for free on their websites.
Or you do the best way and take the translated version of the chinese actual 2.20, which you can find on this website. I use the version 2.20.t1 WWE. It is english and you have the WM 2003 Second Edition with all the good features.

Hi!
I did it. But its a litte hard: I downloaded this app: http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=65&Itemid=1 runned it on all 3 free files from the latest T-Mobile update, wrote down the Tags (Language etc) and afterwards I entered those informations into the Qtek update. So the update "beliefes" to be for a MDA pro...
I did it too I downloaded the last German version for Qtek 9000 (1.30.96) and installed it with the MaUpgradeUt_noID utility. I use the new version since 5 days now and it´s a lot more stable now and some extra features with it. I only updated the ROM and the Radio Version, not the extended Rom.
If you have some more questions about the update feel free to ask me

you may only get problems with your provider, when you need to make a guarantee exchange of your device.
in any other case it is not a problem.

Depending on the region lock, you may need to 'hack' the region and unlock the phone, then procure an english ROM and reflash the device. I'm sure you can find the details in the Prophet forums.

T-Mobile 2.26 ROM in German ?

Is there any equivalent "T-Mobile 2.26 ROM in German" around? I searched a lot, but did not find one. I have installed Dr Puttingham's T-Mobile 2.26 ROM and it is working well, but in us-english. For me it would be esier to talk to my normal "MDA Vario" in German. There is a "pansen_prof_wm06.rar" translated ver. around, but I think it is WM-6 and needs IPL/SPL 3.08. Does that make sense to install it onto my elder "MDA-Vario" model? I would prefer a genuine German upgrade. Thank you all for help, with regards astorgus
