T mobile Dash Shipped rom
so we are near the end of the month and no freaken sign of the rom upgrade from those tmobile wannabe techs or enginneers!
ok, i sent my friend the WM5 file so he can downgrade from the beta WM6, and he's unable to do it, he gets error 260, he tried doing it on Vista and XP, same error...sorry for such noob questions, im not a dash owner, i work with Wizards and Hermes...

Anyone having problems with Active Sync after installing the T-Mobile Release ROM? (K Issue is fixed. I had to uninstall and then reinstall Windows Mobile Device Center)
I have also noticed that I have a lot better memory performance and space available. I don't like it that they took away the Windows media player off the front screen but maby that was the memory culprit. Anyway Good Luck to all of you and GET BUSH OUT OF OFFICE!!!

I flashed my t-mobile dash with the beta version of WM6. I'm not impressed with it, it sluggish and buggy. How would i go back to WM5, anyone have the software to do that.

I downloaded the t-mobile rom as well as the Excalibur Rom from that site. I'm running windows XP not vista. I keep getting error when re-flashing saying its not the correct vendor id or not the right RUU, or not the right device id. I was managed to load the t-mobile one, but it keep freezing and crashing and i keep having to restart the phone. How come i can't flash the excalibur ROM, i've read that its much more stable? Keep getting errors, i want to debrand the t-mobile. Can any one help me. Thanks
just wondered I have downloaded Microsoft.Windows.Mobile.v6.0-OTG from torrent, and wondered I have an unlocked Orbit, will this work?

i would say do not try it, but if you read the forum, you will find there is no WM6 for this device yet, you couold try and install it, but you would find out the very hard way that this isnt the correct rom for your device.
until you can unlock your device, then get hold of an official rom update from your own or another provider, then stick with WM5, at least you know it works..

I would'nt agree more,don't even think about it right now,wait for the official release.
Most GPS Software currently will not work with WM6.
Also your phone cannot be CID or SIM unlocked yet, I would hold off my friend or you could brick your phone !
I wouldn't trust anything from a torrent especially something that can turn your phone into a brick.

After reading several threads in this forum I have seen that people are running this WM6 ROM in other versions of the Excalibur other than the T-Mobile Dash. Is that safe for me then to run it in the UK on a T-Mobile MDA Mail? I'm buying a new phone today and I will probably get that one.

Cant delete them, but you overwrite them. I just replaced the tmo with cingular branding. You can make blank files also if you want no branding.
I've seem to have lost the JOGGER aside from volume control... Anyway to get it back or where to make the adjustments/activations?

Hey I flashed my Gf's TMobile phone earlier. I warned her that if I flashed the phone she would lose myfaves. I flashed it to "WM6.1 For Excalibur WWE with English Only by Kavana 080318 Final".
Anyhow, the rom looks great but I feel bad and I want her to have myfaves back what can I do to make her happier? Anyone have a link for TM WM6 or know a way to get myfaves back onto her phone. Any help would be appreciated.
I saw a few links on the net for wm6 but they don't appear to have myfaves attached.

ya i never knew it would be so easy to find. I found that like 5 mins after i posted this. Now she don't want tmobile rom she likes kavana 6.1 but wants myfaves on it. ugh.

ok so mikey 1022 if i do upgrade to this "Kavana" rom that you say is MUCH FASTER and better what all do i have to tweek to make it even better??

If I'm not mistaken you can still edit your MyFaves online and whenever you call that number it will be included in the MyFaves...I saw various posts on Howardforums about people using cheap phones that had MyFaves installed on it to set it up and then switch the sim to another phone and it working just fine

I have a newer Dash, and my rom is 531.6
I wonder what the difference is.
none ive noticed when i got my dash last week out of box once i turned it on i only had about 14-15mb program mem when i installed the one from there website 531.4
i had 21mb free mem

Just download and flash with Ricky's ROM (it is based off of the Kavanna ROM and has the MyFaves app).

Here is the .cab file for the Windows Marketplace. From what I've heard, it works on windows mobile 6.1 and 6.1, and I've done quite a bit of testing on 6.5 with my dash. Runs smooth as silk on edge : ) Enjoy!

Anywhere in your windows folder and just reboot. I had to do it twice (I really don't know why it didn't worked at once after the first reboot), but the second time it overwrote the existing file in the windows folder and voila....it worked after the second reboot
do not use this program if u are on Kavana 6.1 does not work, dont listen to this guy something wrong with em lol.

It's for windows mobile's app/game store. And I haven't tried it with Kavanna's 6.1 rom. Sorry, Thought it worked.

Yes, I have the Windows Mobile Marketplace running here on the 2.80 ROM. I've installed a few items from it and they all work well.

Got this working on my s620 perfectly, although the number of available apps is about 10 - anyone else getting this (MS say store should have 250+)?

No credit card required to register, just log in with your Windows Live ID. The aps I installed are free ones, I've not purchased any aps yet.
