after having asked in the general section about a issue about my xda lls repeatedly trying to open messaging and then crashing ive decided that maybe just installing the 05 OS may solve the problem.
was looking for help on the easiest way to go about it i.e what program to use? maybe a link to the best version and a set of instructions?

There is no easy way to put a completly different ROM on your phone.
Because standard, your phone wil not accept a ROM from a different operator or other world region.
So the first thing you need to do is to remove those barriers.
Only after doing this you should start thinking about flashing a different ROM.
You will lose everything that is currently on the phone. If your egyptian mobile operator has put custom software or menu's on the phone those will be gone too.

I am looking for a WM6.1 ROM for Samsung i710. Tried searching through the forum and could only find one relevant post but that too was a Kitchen developed for this phone long time back... (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317288)
Also, realized that u need a special cable to flash ROM to this phone... Tried searching for it but couldn't find it anywhere (I am based in India.).. Is there a way to flash the ROM using SDCard... I have done it on my Artemis.. not sure if this option is available for i710..
If any one of the always helpful members can help me or redirect me to a location where I can get help on this.. It would be really great...

hi everyone
I've been messing around trying to cook roms in a really basic way, by get another ROM and adding and removing the things I want. Its been working really well, but if i change the launcher, no launcher comes on and set-up wizard force closes at the end. Do I need to tell the ROM somewhere what launcher i want it to use on first boot.
I've tried searching but couldn't find anything specific to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And there's a lot of devs in here that probably know the answer.

Hi all members, please I need your help for this, I'm upgrading from energy rom to a newer version, but everytime I have to reconfigure all my settings and reinstall my apps again, I heard that XDA_UC can do that?, am I wrong?, but I don't know exactly how, so if anyone can provide me with a link or anything that help, I'd be so glad,

Please avoid posting the same question repeatedly. This is a development forum, not a support site. It would behoove you to wait more than two hours for a response in the future. This has nothing to do with ROM development and should have been posted in the General area.

Please help me, I upgraded the D851 to Lollipop v5.0.1 and cannot find anywhere how to root this thing...I have found some mention of using a MAC but no clear directions...I am quite frustrated at the upgrade as it stifles the new UI with the LG UI...I would like to either install a new ROM or just go to town with the mods available...any help would be greatly appreciated...

Did you try the new one step root method that recently came out? I think op is in the international section
Call me stupid but I cannot find it anywhere...if its the same one i tried the main exe file is for windows only...that seems to be my issues...ill keep looking but if you have a link I'm all for it...thanks again.
