Will this work with a G4?
If so, are there any steps I should take to ensure I don't end up holding a brick?
Is it really worth upgrading to wm6, or is it just 'the done thing'?

If you are able to turn off your wlan-router or dsl-modem for 1 minute and then turn it on again (a new ip-adress will be generated), it might help you to bypass the 127 minutes. for me, it works fine...

Got there before me
I still wish there was a way to transmit A2DP from the hermes to a pc to test it! (aint gonna buy a headset until i know its working....cant afford it)

No, seriously, your hard work is much appreciated
well, the widcomm stack does it quite good with my headset (plantronics 260) however, there are issues with this stack, (for me it is mostly memory related..)
so any a2dp related drivers that might improve sound quality in the ms stack is welcome! Today I actually tweaked the ms stack so good it was almost bearable to listen to it.. (if using mortplayer and some equalizer tweaks)

I'm using SPL 1.40
This installation no longer asks which one you are using before installing.
I am getting error 260, I've read the readme file and i restarted millions of times. This is the only rom so far that i've had issues installing. Am i missing a step? All of your other rom releases seemed to have installed flawlessly
I just get stuck in the Bootloader (Red,Green, Blue, White stripes) and then i get the error. Any thoughts?

Doh... thanks i feel like an idiot... the first time i've had to upgrade a rom with the bat file since xelecins 2.25 custom wm5 rom ...
which folder are the extended rom files copied to in the device?
LVSW...based on your batch file, does that mean we no longer need to unhide the extended rom to put files there, we can cook our own extended rom now? I haven't have time to try the full update yet, I just did the OS only and it's at 80% now

This super lite ROM is from Pdamobiz ( Kaew ) from Thailand. ROM is WWE.
Thai Language in the intro is only small accent for thanks and credits for the people and friends from Thailand.

Flashen 2 ways
1 - unpack to a new folder and start DiamonCustomRUU.exe (flashen about 10 minutes)
or
2 - drag DIAMIMG.NBH to the root of you diamond and hold volume down pressed with the arrow to the left and press the reset button. U get a menu and press on/off switch to flash (about few minutes (its faster flashing)).
