Black Gradient Bars Scheme for WM6 - HTC Excalibur

This is a spin of the BlackBars.cab I did before, but this time with the gradients on top and bottom bars. Gives more of a vista look to the Homescreen. I have seen the BlackBars.cab floating around everywhere (included with homescreens and other places, so this one does have credit to me).
Make sure to select "Black Gradients" as your color scheme then reboot.
The color scheme is the T-Mobile color scheme, but you can edit/replace the BlackGrad.scheme.xml to change the scheme colors.
Please note: You must reset your device (power cycle) for the changes to take to the bottom bar.

A screenshot would be nice

Black Gradient with T-Mobile Homescreen and Custom Homescreen attached.

First thanx a lot for your Black-Schemes. Now I know who the author is
Is this one only for WM6?
On my (WM5) O2 XDA Cosmo the Gradient Scheme has no effect, even after reboot.
See attached screenshots with Black-Grad and Black-Bars.

Only for WM6

Add more colors to homescreen settings

is it possible to add more colors to the homescreen other than standard and guava bubbles?
I've been wanting to know this too
It is... by editing the XML file, or installing a homescreen with a different color scheme. There are several links out there with instructions, here's one to start (scroll down a little, the color scheme section is there)

BlackBarsScheme
This is a Color Scheme with registry entries to enable true black bars (softkey and icon bars). Just select your homescreen and select Color Scheme: Black Bars. It works with all the standard homescreens on my dash. Experiment and see what works.

try http://smartphone.kleinweder.ch/downloads/viewkat.php and QVGA Landscape in cotext menu
If you try to specify your softkeys menu bar in a homescreen as black wm5 will give you grey. In order to get "true" black you must create registry settings. It has been said (though I don't know if it's true) that Homescreens that set the registry will create seperate entries for every homescreen with black bars you install (true enough), but if you uninstall those homescreens the registry entrys will stay(?) until you factory reset your phone. So if you install 20 homescreens with black bars you end up with 20 different registry entries for the same effect even if you uninstall 19 of them. The BlackBarsScheme will only create one set of entries and can be used with any homescreen you want to use.

Theme help - 6.1

Hello - I am using the Kavana 6.1 ROM with the default sliding screen. I would like to use a photo collage for my background image, however the screen fonts are too white and bright for it. I have adjusted the image as much as I can to still be viewable and it helps a little.
I would like to know if there is anyway to change the color of the display fonts on the home screen - e.g. change the clock and other text to a darker color or have them outlined in shadow so they stand out against my background.
Thank you.

you can change font color in the scheme.xml files using hex color codes. As for as i know, you can't add a shadow though. the scheme file will change the font color for the whole homescreen, not indivivual text, so you have to choose a color for all text on there.
If you search, you can also find some apps( for phone and for pc) that will change the font color for you plus all the other colors you want to change.
thank you very much.

[Theme] Alternative of bluestar 5

Thanks for Stericson's Transparent Tab and Icons and Manup's Icons and Status Bar. Here are some screenshots...See if anybody wants it then I will redo a update seriously...
I change the program title from grey to black and some colour tuning for status icons, the battery icon will also show as light blue and light yellow with shadow respectively
I actually really like this. The only thing I hope you can change is the menu tab. I prefer it visible, apparently unlike everyone else. I don't like the blank gap at the bottom of the screen, and I like to see the tab to re-assure me that it's there and that I clicked/dragged it.
Hey not 2 shabby
I Want It!!!!
Out of curiosity, why do several of the menu bars have diagonal lines on them? Is this an issue with resolution? I know the Stericson's first one didn't have it, but the new one does.
That's the image. It's supposed to be there.

How to change TF3D font color

I have searched and found a lot of threads about this but haven't found anyone posting a easy way to change the TF3D font color and especially the today screen which seems to be different than the other tab screens.
I now have AnX1 Nature's Grace v1.0 theme which gives a white font but I would like to use a light colored background from Rotastrain's panoramic background thread, so I would have to change to black font in order for everything to be readable. Anyone has any ideas?

[Q] Is Fade and Gradient broken?

Can someone explain to me how Fade and Gradient fill styles are meant to work please? As far as I can see, neither produces results I would expect.
For example, open up the advanced parameters on a progress bar and specify the "fill mode other color" as, say, white. Then try changing the colour under the fill mode or the foreground colour - no change to the widget colour.
With Gradient fill, all I want to do is go from opaque white to transparent white but Zooper decides to get there it needs to go through yellow!
I'm either not understanding how the UI is meant to work here or these options are really busted. Anyone able to offer any help?
Example of the gradient problem is attached.

Yeah damn things been like this for a while. Shows some yellowish color for me usually. Mess with the foreground/background colors and it'll work right. Just have to F with it.
HSV gradient instead of a RGB gradient ?
I have the same issue and then googled a little. After reading these two pages "perbang.dk/rgbgradient" and "bensouthgate.com/p/12_3_13.php" (I can not post link now), I think the gradient is based on HSV and not RGB; the later seems however be more intuitive and correspond to what I imagine for a gradient from white to another color.
I don't think we can code a RGB gradient from the Advanced Parameter because some functions are currently missing.
If anyone has an idea...
