You just HAVE to try search! This is the one million and one post regarding this.
The very least thing you can do is trying the wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Registry
And since I'm just the greatest guy - look for the setting after this sentence:
"All you need is to change:"

How do I change to German keyb. localization of Keyboard after updating to WM6 black?

Hi everybody.
I searched the forum already - to no avail...
Just updated my Hermes to WM6 Black Edition. Problem is, that I have a German Device, and now all my keys on my hardware keyboard are set to english localization.
Is there a way to switch to a german keyboard mapping in some way?
Maybe by updating the registry?
Help would be highly appreciated...
thx in advance,
trial
Have a look at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279158
I never tried it because its not that important for me to have a german keyboard configuration.
Keep us informed how it works
thanks for the link!
it seems to work in most of the cases - except the umlauts like 'ä ö ü' can't be accessed via the keyboard shortcut for some strange reason.
apart from that it works quite well...
I have an app that does it

you have to replace yout sym.0409.txt in windows-dir... search for "sym.04.09.txt" you will find the replacement in the same thread where you find the "German Language Changer"

Opera Diamond from the Updater.

There seems to be a problem with keyboard input, whenever I use the hardware keyboard it shuts off the text input and you have to keep clicking it - anyone else got the same problem?
The same
I have the exact same problem
If I'm understanding you correctly, your wanting the on screen keyboard to not disappear after sliding out the hardware keyboard?
If it didn't disappear, you would have a tiny area for the display when you slid out the hw keyboard with the sw keyboard on the screen.
I'm not sure if that's what you mean. If that's not it, you should post in the thread for the rom your using.
Not exactly
This build lets You imput the target URL easly only via on screen keyboard.
If You open the url window and You will start using hardware keys to input URL the URL box vanishes after a few clicks an You have to open it again.
Maciek
Ahh, ok, I get what your saying now.
It's probably one of the issues they have with the build of opera. It has been stripped from a rom. I don't use that version, I use opera mini, so I haven't seen the issue. You might be able to poke around in the dev and hacking section and see if anyone has a fix or workaround. Also try the search dropdown and see if you can find the issue being talked about anywhere else.
Propably the issue is that this is a Diamond version.
Touch Pro version should work properly with HW keyborad.

Compact Keyboard?!? Where do I find?

Hey guys,
Looking for some help guys. I love my Touch HD. I just recently flashed onkolog's ROM (superlite), and I love it. Problem: The keyboard he has in his ROM has the full keyboard and a phone keyboard. The ROM that I had before which I dont remember the name, had two letters on each key (and i think was called the compact keyboard), any idea, where I can obtain this keyboard?

I have the same problem.
Not sure which keyboard he used but I assume by your description it's the EZInput one that everyone else is using and this is the info from that projects page...:
"These are the new layouts - only Phone Keypad and Full Qwerty, this time."
This might be something worth trying though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393722

Greek language suport and Greek HW keyboard?

1.I would like to know if touch pro 2 is compatible with "Greek language support" or if in any way I can change its interface to Greek.
2.If possible I'd like to know if hardware keyboard is changeable too
Thank you.
Nothing?
Any suggestions on how to remap the hardware keyboard? If it can be done..
The hardware keyobard can be easily mapped with AEKmap.
There isnt a perfect layout out there, but im planning to make one as soon as i get a day off from work.

Thank you..s'eyxaristw poly.
Do you know if this http://htc-touch-pro2.handster.com/software.php?id=3692&for=HTC+Touch+Pro2 works for a foreign device?

it probably works, but since htc has changed most of the ui with custom programs, you wont get much from a program like this. more than half of the screens/apps will be still in english.
maybe in the future someone will crack the ace hellas extrom, or share the greek mui files.

On Screen Keyboards

Hi there,
I'm usually in the Blackstone or Rhodium forums and have a mate who has the Xperia X1 and asked me about the on screen keyboards.
Looking at this phone, he only has the normal on screen keyboard which needs the stylus to be used, is there anyone out there that has the "Full QWERTY" and "Phone Keypad" Keyboards as a cab to install?
Thanks
search for FINGER KEYBOARD 2.1 or something like that. it's much better than the se kb.

Are u serious?
what's the point of a software keyboard when u have a hardware one?
imho, the best solution even is to install nullkeyboard to stop the annoying software keyboard from popping up.
Try SPB Keyboard. Its great
Hi, Although u have the slider keyboard already, but for obvious reasons one may need a software keyboard too. Try SPB Keyboard (just google it and u get the links). It also gives u lot many plugins to shoose from various layouts/options of keyboard.
I have been using it for long and its works great on X1.
fingerkeyboard is by far the best!
hm.. this might help u

Although hardware keyboards are great, you need two hands to use them. When you want to send a quick message or send something quick on Twitter etc, one hand is prefered, hence the Software Keyboard is needed.

Cheers for the link
I used the Touch IT Blackstone keyboard set which includes a handy keypad, simulating a normal phone pad. I mostly use it for one-handed sms.
The filename is Touch-IT Blackstone Keyboard.cab or something, so a search would probably yield results.

Tried fingerkeyboard, Blackstone and SPB one. Actually I'm with the xT9 keyboard, that id the official finger-friendly keyboard that SE ships with the R3A ROM release. It is by far the best one I've ever tried.
Try it, it's here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=494026
The xT9 is the best keyboard. The only one you can use with one hand!

that was my issue... there's other ezinput 2.0 that i've got/tried...
and the fn keys are outputting different things...
ezinput 1.5 works BUT has smaller keys and the font is messed up (courier?)
oh well
still eager for someone to fix this issue...
what about the issue that older EzInput keyboards had with the predictive text on the X1i?
I remember when i installed 1.5 it would no longer pre-populate names as i was typing in the To: section for a text message
dont really care about t9 or predictive text...
i just want to type and use the fn key to properly output numbers rather than using sym all the time >.<
