It works still fine with Office 2007 ..... MS did a nice job.

Im using Vista ultimate & everything was fine with WMDC 6 until i upgraded to WM6 on my trinity, now when i plug my trinity into USB WMDC says theres been a problem & needs to close! WTF?
i've tried new 6.1 but same problems!
any ideas?

try with the memory card removed....sounds mad...just a hunch ;-)
let me know how u get on.

Still can't run RUU in Vista and flash, though....:-(

Does anyone know if Microsoft will ever enable synch with Vista Windows Calendar? I don't have Outlook 2007, I don't really want it and I don't like Outlook 2003. I really like the basic vista apps.
Thanks

WM5 with Windows 2000 Professional

Hi All,
A quick question to those who know..
I'm considering updating to the WM5 ROM we have on wiki. The PC I have at home is XP SP2 with Active-Sync 4 which works lovely with my MDA3 1.40.00 ROM..
Trouble is, my Work PC uses Windows 2000 Professional and guess what, this is the PC I need to Sync to..
I think I already know the answer but well I, if I install Active-Sync 4 on my Windows 2000 Professional, will I be able to Sync my Calendar, etc..
Many thanks to you all..

windows xp crashes after update mda pro tmobile

I have updated ma MDA with the tmobile software.
the MDA pro operates ok.
But when I connect it to the windows xp pc for sync my xp pc crashes with a "blue screen"
I cannot sync any more.
Can anybody help.
I have Windows xp with SP2
Hi,
is there Kaspersky Antivirus running? i've had the same problem with it.
now I'm running KAV 6 Beta and everything is o.K.
Dirk
also make sure, you have activesync 4.1

BA and vista

Problem is quite simple, vista rarely (lets say once in 10 days) "see" the connected BA, since I dont need much of syncing I didnt investigate that too much but if someone solved the problem I would appreciate eventual help.
(its WM6)
ty & BR to community !
suprisingly BA synced with the vista like the charm when I used BT...
Had so much problems with BT sync before with XP and WM 2003 and 5 that I didnt even think about trying that with vista
Anyway BT sync works GREAT for me (WM6 and Vista) and that is the nice solution.
Do you use the Windows Vista cync centre, or do you still have to use activesync?
In my experience both the cync centre and Windows Vista have no problem seeing my blue angel, but when I change any of my contact/task/calendar information, even though it looks like the two are syncing, no changes are made to either device as necessary.
hi, its was an old issue but as far as i could remember, i used to install nod 32 internet security suite which had firewall inside (wasnt mentioned anywhere in the installation) which silently blocked my BA sync... found it by pure coincidence, after the uninstall everthing synced perfectly...

Activesync using 2 computers w/2 OS one xp,one Vista

I had been using 2 computers with xp to sync with until now,, but now I have replaced one of the XP's with Vista.. Any idea whether I can eventually sync information off both PC's.. because of the different versions of Activesync involved?
I dont know, but just do it and let us know if it will work! Did you go a search in this forum to see if it was discussed already?
Works for me
I have a similar set-up (Vista at home, XP at work).
I can sync my Hermes just fine, although i am missing the "sync by category" option the old Active sync 3.8 offered.
Regards,
ARo
I have the same set-up at home..vista laptop,,xp desktop. I only flash with the xp machine and sync with the vista machine. I just don't set up a partnership with the xp machine. Less confusing for me.
I use both. XPSP3 to flash and Vista Ultimate SP1 to sync my contacts, Calendar, ect with.
Could someone actually SYNC data with one device (WM 6.1) between 2 computers - one having XP and ActiveSync, another having Vista and WMDC?
Thx!

WM5 and Windows 7

So, we have to replace our desktop, and we picked up a new one running windows 7. Is it true that WM5 will not work with Windows 7's Mobile Device Center program?
If so, is there any backwards compatible program or tweek that we can do to still let WM5 sync with our outlook on Windows 7?
almost 70 views, and no help? Theres gotta be someone out there that can help! I am just trying to cut down on the surprises before we fully activate the new system, and explain to the wife why her iPaq wont sync, or have the correction when it does happen!

Sorry, I dont think there will be backwards compadability for WinMo 5..
I think its so old it might be time for an upgrade
One possible option i've used is running Windows XP in a VM (VMWare in my case) and syncing to Windows XP/Office that way.
Well, turns out whoever told me that was wrong. The system recognized and synced up our iPaq's just fine. So thanks for the help guys, but turns out Windows 7 Mobile Device Center recognizes WM5!
