Dear all,
I´m desperately trying to get the VOIP function running. I´ve read the whole 72 pages of the VOIP thread, but no success.
My phone is connected to the VOIP provider, I can call other parties and I can receive calls.
My problem: While the other party can hear me, I do not hear ANYTHING on my Artemis. Not with the built in speaker, not with stereospeakers, not with bluetooth and not with the wired headset.
I´ve tried nearly everything, but no success
Any ideas anyone???

I also have exactly the same problem. No sound what so ever ... With SJPhone everything is quite OK but through external speaker. I wanted to have the native VOIP running mostly for using internal speaker... If any body has any good hack for it please share it.... Thanx, Babak

I solved the problem! The problem that we couldn't hear anuthing because it doesn't allow sip on 5060 port. What you have to do you just change the following registry:
HKLM\System\VoIP\SIP
EnablePort5060 = "1"
when it's "0" you don't get the port open and that's why you don't hear anything. It worked for me I hope it works for you as well. In addition it's realy nice cause you get the sound coming from the internal speaker

Didn´t work for me
Same problem with me and my p3300 with WM6 leaked from HTC.
SIP client is working almost perfectly, but i can't hear anything. Registry trick didn't help.
It did not work for me either with the leaked WM6 ROM. I still have no inbound sound. I do not even get the tone during dialing.
I solved the problem! The problem that we couldn't hear anuthing because it doesn't allow sip on 5060 port. What you have to do you just change the following registry:
HKLM\System\VoIP\SIP
EnablePort5060 = "1"
when it's "0" you don't get the port open and that's why you don't hear anything. It worked for me I hope it works for you as well. In addition it's realy nice cause you get the sound coming from the internal speaker

Could you please export your whole registry?
It seems that there must be something else what worked for you.
No success up until now...

Hi Guys,
Sorry for a bit late in reply. Here is to go: First try to install the attached CAB file. After reset change the registry as mentioned above and then reset. Use SIP configuration to set up your account (for example your VOIP-Buster) Then first your WLAN on and then VOIP calling. When you get connected to SIP server make your call. The sound quality is not perfect and surely needs lots of improvement. But at least it's working. Let me know whether it works.

Doesn't work for me, i try several times different wm6 voip.cab and always the same... i can connect, i can call, people heard me, i have no sound...
Try the same with a wizard (same voip cab, same voip provider), works with one rom (but with the external speaker), doesn't work with others...
With Artemis, all roms i try doesn't work.
Wich rom do you use ?

I use PDAVIET Rom Back&Blue v3 . It works quite well for me actually. There is only one problem: when I receive a call through my VOIP number most of the times I hear them but not the other side! When you make calls evrything seems to work just fine.

I don't understand.....
I try another voip cab (voipfr.cab) reset, retry... and it works (without having change the registry with 5060 at 1) with the external speaker (not very high level)....

Have you tried to receive calls through your voip number also? Do they hear you from other side? Yes, indeed the sound quality is really bad. I still use SJPhone with headset with has great sound quality.

Yes I can receive call and all works.
(I just modify the ipdialplan to change the caller ID from sip:[email protected] to only xxxxxxxx).
By the way, if it can help others people, I've installed voipfr.cab found here :

(After install wm6voip.cab (from VI Black & config....) and without uninstall this one.)
Mix of different files and version...
Work in my Artemis with leaked HTC 3.5 and last OS 3.7 from Dopod Asia.

Enjoy it can help you, the quality is poor with internal speaker, try a BT headset or wire headset, quality if a little better (very little).

there is a workaround that enables an option to transfer regular sounds to the BT Headset....
and after fiddling around in the reistry a litte....i managed to get audio through my hbh-660 headset...BUT the connection is terminated in a couple of seconds...
as a result, i asked ccrraaazy (author of the first thread) for his registry settings, and found out that his device has BT scripts for audio transfer and voice dialling... untill i get my hands on those scripts and other dlls from the pda2, and start testing...i'm pretty sure that audio transfer and bt voice dialling will be possile by tonight....
any comments and expertese welcome.....lets make this thing work once and for all on every HTC device....
To be honest, i gave up looking to solve this problem....But looks like u may have the answer. Please do post or PM me if you have any success at all. Changing they Reg Keys with my Motorola HS-850 didnt work but i did get the option to send other auido to my headset...

after lots of changes and tweaking....nothing happened with my hbh-660....but i just tried a friends hbh-662...and it works !!! believe it or not.... will try to think of something.

I really hope you get it working.. I tried to fiddle around with the registry too as described in the second thread, but I didn't get any sound at all.
I even tried a patched BT3900 from some dutch site, but no go.

Yep, I would like to have Agile or MSN send the sounds to my Jabra.
And, if possible, the calendar also.
Worked nice on my Nokia 9500 ALL the sounds, inclusive keyboard taps are sent to the Jabra.

Can connect to my ISP, can call but there's no sound on my M650.

You're right, but with the volume issues I gave up on the integrated SIP

After trying 3 diffrent wm6 roms i still had little luck with voip in wm6..
i tried bepes rom..pdaviet rom in all roms i cant hear any voice neighter the other party can hear me...sometime i can hear some voice but for like 5sec then it get silent
i also have one hermes and strangely all wm6 rom i tried in that device has wonderful support for voip including voice over earpieces not through speaker phone...
so i was wondering whats the problem with trinity???
do anyone haveany comment on that and have any solution??

I would like to add more....
now i found that actually voip work regardless of rom and *.dll file i use...it only work if i use the headset then i can use audio in both way not only that if i remove the headphone after initiating a call then the call routed to sets speaker and i can talk without headphone...but thats a silly trick to use...
anyways anyone have any comment on that????

I have a huge problem with my Hermes using Shaps Roms (latest), besides I tried all of the roms till now, and bluetooth devices!
I tried 3 devices till now:
Parrot 3200
Audi UHV
and a Sennheiser VMX 100 ear- handsfree
so first I had problems with the Audi to get a stable BT transmission without disconnect which is solved due to a rom change!
Now the problem is with picking up, or dialing.
For example BT -> Audi UHV connected!
Using phonebook to dial a number -> dialing ... it displays in the Audi -> Dialing.. and when the connection is established its shoud says connected like in phone but sometimes just shows "Hanging up.." -> while the Hermes display says connected!
And I am definitly connected to the person but I cant hear anything not on the phone or the BT Kit!
This is extremly anoying -> and not only withe the Audi, even the simple Sennheiser earphone there is exactly the same problem! or the Parrot!
The phone is not able to send correct "commands" Pick UP -> Connected -> Disconnected. I mean THIS IS A HORROR!
Its not a permanent error but it it shows quite often (6 tomes out of 10 calls) up it does it again and again till sofot reset!
Please someone help me !!!!!
PS i also tried Jetware Mobile same problem no difference ....

Out of interest, try my ROM and see if this works. I use bluetooth dialing on a car kit and it works fine for me...

Is this problem typical or known or just affects me?
Not to sure - although I install a certain version of the BT kit that may affect your issue. I don't know if it will fix it, however I would be interested to see your results.

I have used a number of Schaps ROMS and others, and I have never had a problem making or receiving calls through my car kit (a Ford).
Having said that, I have had probelms getting the car kit to access my contacts on most of them, but Schaps latest ROM worked 'straight out of the box' in every respect.

interesting.. so if you dial a number the tytn sends to your ford the correct status of the calling process ?
start - call - stop ?
never had such issue:
Ford: start - stop
Hermes: start - call ...
silence on both ?

First results:
15 minutes it works like a charm - no phonebook entries just the plain rom.
now I ll snyc with outlook and start another test!
* Stange thing is that the Audi UHV found my phonebook entries although i dind´t snyced them. Sim is empy ...
can there be something in extended rom ?
Sounds like it uses BT SAP to access the contacts on the phone. I haven't built the ROM with that in it - as I haven't until now come up with a device that actually uses SAP!
Maybe try doing a search to see if you can find a cab for BT SAP and see if that helps?

The Audi UHV is capable to use rSAP, but I have no idea what it does and what it´s good for.
What is the difference between SAP and HFP ? I have nothing on the sim card.
Now you're getting a bit beyond my knowledge as I don't have any of these systems to test or experiment with

I have had the same problems with multiple ROMs.
Trying to link a Garmin GPS, and other Hands Free devices.
Seems like a Hermes thing rather than the ROMs.
Try deleting the BT device from the Hermes, but not the device. Re-sync from the device.
Not sure if that will help, but I had weird BT problems with the 4.30 rom and that fixed it. No problems at all with the 4.31 though.
I will start some testing today and report back tonight!
Maybe it was the rsap being enabled in Shaps roms .... we will see!
The question is, should I install Jetware Mobile or not ?
It seems to be faster in syncing if I have it installed.
So far I tested it yesterday for half an hour and it worked!

How come the bluetooth does not work? is it due to a setting of the phone, or just not possible? because I installed the voice dailer and it works, however when I try to start the voice dailing with my BT headset it does notting. I have to manually call someone. On the diamond, which I had before this one, this worked flawlessly.
So does anyone know anything about this, or should I use a different tool to use voice dialing with my BT headset?
