Tomtom6.3 No voice navigation(Found solution) - P3600 ROM Development

Happy day!!!!!!
i just found there is a update for trinity from tomtom.com
all we need to do is download latest tomtom home, install it, then download the new voice file from tomtom home(the old voice files cannot be readed by tomtom 6.03 on trinity)
here is the link http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=6736&Lid=1
Hope this can help everyone who get the same problem as me. cheers
after i install the tomtom6.3 on my trinity(wm6), the voice doesn't work. i do have the "voices" folder in my sd card, but the voice just doesn't work!
anybody knows why this happened? thanks.

thanks man, but i have tried this way before, it doesn't work.

when i use Garmin iQue M5(windows mobile 2003), tomtom6.3 works perfect.

Is there a newer version than 6.03? My installation has a Program files/Navigator/Voices folder with a file called collected on the phone. On the SD card there is also a Voices folder with a collected file and two data08 files, one of which is quite large (671kb). Also , the sound is muted if TomTom is launched when there's a data connection.

How about deleting the collected.ini file, I vaguely remember reading that you need to delete this file in both voices directories (making sure tomtom is not running). Then restart tomtom.
Also put the voices file into the program files/navigator/voices directory on phone - I've never had any luck with the voices directory on the storage card, even though my maps are on there??
Sorry if somebody has already suggested this...
Cheers.

Voices are located in sd card root folder "voices", if you have problems try to download voices from tomtom, even if you have a "trial" version i think you can download.

Have you tried rerunning the initial setup wizard- you may be able to reselect the voice you want from the list, then TTN will copy it to the Navigator folder as the data0*.chk file.

In the directory of the map you are using, replace files TRAFFIC.INC and MapSettings.cfg with original versions from these. Make a copy of them first (e.g. as xtraffic.inc and xmapsettings.cfg)
This works for me.
You will loose references to favorites, home, etc.
I hope this helps.

thanks everyone here, appreciate for your help.
the way from CRH66 doesn't work. but thanks all the same.
MJ, i have to say, i have the right files in vovics folder, and it is in the root directory, i also put them in program files/navigator/voices
not very clear about Benzin's method use which file to replace the one your mentioned?
i will try NeilM's trick later, then i will let u know what happed. cheers

Each and every map directory contains cline.dat, cname.dat, etc, and also the two files I mentioned. These two files are updated each time you use TomTom. Sometimes they become corrupted and TomTom looses the voice. You need to replace them with an earlier version that works. Copy them from another installation (a friend, emule, etc.) and substitute the ones you have.
Sometimes just deleting/renaming them and making a soft reset may work.
I insist, this works for me. If this does not solve your case, there is information in other fora about the deletion of a file in the windows directory. I tried this before without success.
Sound has a big bug in TomTom 6.030

... late
Thanks for the information in the first post. I hope this solves completely the issue.

The latest version is 6.03. What sound bug - never had a problem myself.

No sound bugs in tomtom 6.03
As far as i know, the latest release of TOMTOM 6.03 contains no bugs voices.
Well the main and best thing, would be better u unisntall your soft completely from your mobile with activesync, "off your mobile completely for 1mn" then reinstall the soft again again.
better to try something than not to try anything.

The Thread Starter has now updated his 1st post to say the problem is fixed!
AFAIK there is no problem with the older versions of TTN and the Trinity, nor with 6.03 and voices, but certainly installing TT Home often helps because it allows the configuration to be managed.

NeilM, i completely aggree with u. there is no bug in ttn6.03.
and i think i have found the point.
when i install ttn6.03 and it's voices into my Garmin iQue M5(WM2003se),it works perfect. Then i install the same program and voices into my Trinity(WM6), the problem comes, no sound!
After downloading the new voice files via Tomtom home, i found there are different voice files for WM2003se and WM6. The voices for WM6 are a lot bigger than the one for WM2003se!!!
It means the same voice files will work for WM2003se but not for WM6!
All those people who have this voice problem should update their voice files

TomTOM 5 not saving settings

Hi guys and gals,
I've recently upgraded my XDA IIs to the latest iMate software. I've then re-installed tomTom 5 with the upgrade to version 5.1
Now my tomtom won't save any of my settings. So i can input my Home and favourties etc... shut down tomtom and then when i go back in, i have to accept the agreement again, and none of my settings are there.
Is anyone else having this problem? and more importantly - does anyone know what the fix is for this?
Thanks all
tcs44_uk - Are you installing from an SD Card? If you are check that the files are unlocked before you copy them onto the SD card or it will act as you have described.
I too had the same problem with a legit purchased copy from TomTom. Someone on another forum advised me to copy the files to the PC, unlock them, copy them back to the SD card the re-install - hey presto works a treat.
HTH
I have nearly the same problem. My settings stay, but favorite and base are gone after a few uses :
I record the base and a few favorites, I exit TT5 using the "quit" icon. When I restart it, the base & favorites are still there (so they are correctly recorded : the file is not locked, and the SD card not Read Only).
After a few runs (I have not been able to check how many, or what can cause that), they're all gone : no base and no favorite.
All I store in POI never disappear, so my work-around is to place all favorite and base in POI.
Tomtom support is ZERO. They have pre-formatted message they send not reading the whole problem, and it is impossible to reply, 'cause the case is closed after their crappy answer.
OhBuggerit2k2, how do I tell if the files are locked?
I have the same problem, TT5 will not remember any favourites when restarted.
I have the files on my computer, how do I check they are not locked?
Thanks Guys
Ginnser
Which files??
I also have this problem.....
does anyone know which file(s) it is that hold the info regarding:
Home location
Favourites
and all the other personal settings
would appreciate any help,
Thanks,
Alan
i had a similar issue & resolved it by changing the settings on the file with extension .cfg from read only. i had 2 copy the file 2 my desktop change the settings then saving back 2 xda2i.
i have a problem with tomtom where it throws me out...any1 know how 2 sort it?
Thanks guys - after copying all of the TomTom files back to PC, taking off the Read Only flag, and then copying the files back - all working fine now.
Cheers
hi guys
I cannot seem to find the .cfg file !
Which folder is it in?
also had a quick check, i dont seem to have any read only files !
Anyone help !

TomTom 7: Unable to start. Not enough memory is available.

What the hell? Before I've changed the File system cache to auto it did work! But now that I have much more ram available about 21MB, it doesn't want to start. So I tried to go back to 4MB file system cache... but nothing, still that error message.
TomTom 7 is installed in the memory card... wtf???

I've had this happen before, and if I remember correctly, it was a corrupt Map File. I restored an earlier copy of my maps to the SD Card, and all was good again.
Try hiding your maps and see if TomTom will run. It should ask you to use a Voucher. If it does, then it's the map problem and TomTom is fine.
Nope, I've tried this tip but no success... It's really odd...
Hi Zooster. Sorry to hear about the headache you currently have.
I have had similar problems in the past month, the first time really freaked me out.
In my case, I noticed that some of the files on my sd card know longer showed up, and later discovered that others had indeed become corrupted.
I solved it (and continue to do so when it happens) by formatting my sd card and copying back onto it a copy I have of all the Tomtom files. Infact, once you get it working again, I suggest you regularly make a copy of whatever is on your sd card in case it happens again. For me, it seems to be ROM specific, i.e. only happens when I flash some of the new ROMs. Sometimes the sd card suddenly stops showing up in file explorer, sometimes I just need to remove tomtom and then reinstall it.
The problem for you now may be getting the original Tomtom files, I guess it depends where you got them from.
When I flash some ROMS, this problem occurs. I have to avoid ROMs that do that and choose another.
I hope you manage to sort it out. I know what's it like when these things suddenly go wrong for no reason! Best of luck.
Mattster.
Ok, I'll try to restore original files... I'll let you know.
WHAT TOMTOM FILES DO YOU NEED ON YOUR SD CARD?
There seems to be an awful lot of tomtom files on my sd card, so I've started to delete some and see if Tomtom still works. And it does!
I've got it down to:
My Documents folder with maps inside
Voices folder
plus the following files:
ALBUM.VOL
AutoRun
Autorun.exe-run
Start
TTN
TTN2003
ttnavigator.bif
I've lost the 2257 file (that apparently causes automatic self install of Tomtom when you insert the card) so if anyone has that I'd like it back!!!
So, my question to all of you Tomtom users is: Which files are actually needed for Tomtom to work?
(I know there is the tidy up option of chucking any mystery files into a folder, but I like to know what all files on my sd card are actually doing!)
Mattster.
Hmmm...
Just had this problem myself, but might have fixed it on my Artemis
Originally I copied the TomTom Navigator.EXE to \windows\start menu\programs and it worked
However; it stopped working with the "not enough memory error" - so I started disabling applications, uninstalling them etc.
Still no joy
Just out of interest tried the TomTom Navigator.EXE within the TomTom folder on my SD card - and it worked...
I've deleted the .exe from "my device" and created a shortcut to my SD Card and now it looks like it is working again
Going to keep testing now - but perhaps worth a shot

For tomtom, TTN is the installation file, the others can be all deleted.
After installation, we only need the following 3 folders:
1. maps
2. voices
3. zip
All of them need stored in sd card root path.
If you need the satellite view, then you need one more folder in your sd card root, which is "raster"
The file "ttnavigator.bif" is auto generated by tomtom everytime you use it, you will always find it is still there even you have delete it sometime before, just leave it. Also "ttnavigator.bif" is a log file for tomtom, so it is useful, dont delete this file.

In the 2577 (not 2257) map are the following files:
AutoRun.exe
Autorun.exe-run
TTN.cab

So you just moved them to the root

Sorry, can't answer that. Flashed my rom quite a few times but never bothered to clean up my storage card. Probably still got Tom Tom 6 and or WM5 stuff on there
i had the issue with artemis and tomtom Navigator v7.910.9185. It was on sd. Then i deleted voice and raster folder and suddenly the problem solved!
Then i copied voice folder back to sd with 3 voices (before i had about 25) and now it works like charm.
I have had this same 'memory' problem on a few devices,
it has always been sorted by an SD card format and a card restore from my PC.
as to Tomtom after a re-flash ... I have never had any issues with it at all,
I just restore a full backup with SPB backup.
i have tomtom 7 ver. 7.910 on my p3600 running wm6 pro but seems to always come up no gps device can anyone help, please send me a message soon thanks mossy
Go to Change Preferences, Configure GPS, Click Configure, Tap left Arrow to show Other NMEA GPS receiver and tap Select, Set 4800 Baud and tap Done, Select GPS in COM9, and you are good to go. Click Done to go back to main screen.
I had the same problem once, install chaps advance config an relocate the internet temporary internet files.
by default they are located in: \windows\profiles\guest
if you use youtube a lot and google maps i can happen too.
I get this all of the time.
the problem occurs when my battery gets lower than 70% and I launch TomTom Navigator 7.
what i do now is make a copy of the Map Folder and keep it on my memory card.
I also make a zip archive and keep that on my device (not SD Card) in My Docs or somewhere else with a copy of the corresponding .dct file and .bif files and installers.
this way, i can restore tomtom onto another sd card if need be.
usually i format the card and restore the zip archive!

Bluetooth not working

Hi, my bluetooth does not seem to work on the device. If I reset it i get the error message on start up saying 'BTTRAYCE' is not a vlaid Pocket PC application. Is my unit faulty. I have thought about doing a hard reset on the device but wanted to check with you guys if there is a simple fix, the unit needs replacing? or if the hard reset would work. If I was to do the hard reset what can I use to backup all my contacts with there facebook links etc and will the facebook links still exist?

You can use a program called Sprite Backup, although its not free. That will backup a lot of things, but to be honest, its probably best to start from scratch as it backs up all registry changes too, which could be the problem for you.
My bluetooth works fine, what part are you having trouble with?
Bluetooth Issues
I am having the same problem.
I have narrowed it down to tomtom installation (no bluetooth issues until tomtom is installed)
I have tried with TT7 910 9185 as well as TT7 445 and after the reboot the same error occurs.
I have also tried installing it on the memory card, and hard resetting it, however, the TomTom doesn't appear to talk to any Satellites.
I installed Tomtom 7.910.9185 and it says "Unable to start. Not enough memory" or similar. I installed it from cab on my 8GB Storage Card in the same way that worked perfectly on my Raphael.
The point of telling you that is my bluetooth is still working perfectly.
As for you Bladesharp, surely if you Activesync all the relevant links and details will remain with your contacts? I'd say a hard reset will determine if it's a hardware issue.

I'm on 7.915 for TomTom and don't have the issue.
Links to Facebook won't transfer with Active Sync, they are stored somewhere seperately on the phone and are not part of the Contacts program in pOutlook.exe, they are part of Manila which is not transferable. Not sure where it is stored, have been looking now for about 2 months
I came across something similar to this last week after installing TomTom from a CAB, and found this post on a related issue...
http://www.noeman.org/gsm/trash-section/65951-tomtom-7-bluetooth-problems-sorted.html
I deleted the two bluetooth files (BtSdKCE30.dll & BtCoreIF.dll) from the TomTom CAB as described, did a hard reset and reinstalled, and haven't had the problem since. Could be the same issue?
Could someone who has not installed TomTom please post the dates of their BtCoreIf.dll & BtSdkCE30.dll? Mine are both 04/24/08 20:10.
Does anyone know if it is possible to revert to the ROM version of these files WITHOUT doing a hard reset?
If some kind person was able to provide me with the ROM version, can I just overwrite the ones in RAM?
R
These came from my device's \Windows directory, and are dated 14th May. I think they are unaffected by this problem, certainly I don't get the boot delay or BTTray boot crash that seem to be the possible symptoms of this. (Use caution, of course; backup what you can before tinkering in case of disaster.)
Sounds the same as my thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=522373
someone already tried the above files? will it correct the problem?
Thanks for the files.
I am happy to confirm that installing the two DLLs gets BTTrayCE.exe working again.
I just renamed the 04/24/08 versions to .was and use Total Commander to copy the files from my storage card to \Windows and rebooted the phone... ActiveSync wouldn't let me copy them directly from my PC as it said there was already a 05/14/09 version there and it was read-only!
As it rebooted, it complained that BtCoreIf.dll was from an unknown supplier but I just OK'd that and everything is fine. Bluetooth & TTN working.
R.
PS Didn't need to copy BTTrayCE.exe as this had not been overwritted.
Ah, thanks for letting me know. I wasn't sure if the exe was also needed, I only included it since one of the symptoms I was getting was that this wasn't a valid executable; but I guess that was just caused by the corruption of the dll's.
I don't think the DLLs are corrupted, just an earlier version.
Just like the bad old days of Windows 3.1 where installing one package would break others due the installing of different versions common DLLs. Gosh, I feel old!

Ah yes; that makes more sense! I still had a boot delay even with the files from the most recent TomTom version I could find.
Hi there,
i had the same Problem with TT. In my case I also copyed the BTTrayCE.exe. Now I dont get any error anymore but the Bluetooth can still not be started. Can somebody please upload the Original BTTrayCE.exe. Thank you
I did a reset of my Swisscom German Device. Copyed the 3 BT Files and installed the TT7 v7.910.9185 again. After restart of my Device the same BT Error. I replayced the 3 Files with my Original ones and restarted again. New Error comes up "Bluetooth Stack can not be started"

Thanking you very much kind sir. I unzipped these files directly to my storage card in USB mode and just double clicked the exe file and it fixed my bluetooth up for me. (good job as I am a technical biff when things get registry level)
EDIT sorry I thought it did but it didn't just fix it by double clicking the exe. I've hard reset now as I don't really know what I am doing
As said in the thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=522373&page=4
There is no need to replace the two files.
Just delete them and soft reset. They will be replaced with the two right ones.

I had the same and here's what I just discovered and what worked:
I removed the files and expected them to be replaced upon restart. When I checked I noticed a file in the \Windows directory named BtSdKCE50.dll - I had not noticed this before. I (re)moved this, rebooted again and now Bluetooth and FM Radio (!) are working, yay!
hth,
TA2
This fixed my problem. Couldnt delete the old files but copied the replacements over the top and that sorted it. My version of Tom Tom wont work stil but it is 7.5 I think.
I've had exactly the same problem I've tried overwriting the dll's with the files provided in this thread,
Now whilst I don't get the error message, when I try and enable bluetooth, I get "cannot start bluetooth stack" error
Any ideas peeps?

Anyone get Igo8 TTS voices to work?

Has anyone managed to get the Igo8 Text-To-Speech voices working? I've installed everything I believe is necessary but can't get these voices to work.
Don't install anything - just copy the TTS files (audio, loq, dll's) to the folder (and subfolders) of iGO on your SD card and start igo8.exe from that SD card.
Don't use the folder iGO8 in device memory - you could even remove that one. (Remind that you make a backup of the SYS.TXT when you changed it!)
That's exactly what I did. I see the loq/dll get loaded when I select a TTS voice, but get silence when I try any of the TTS voices
Hi,
If you are using the latest version for PDA (iGO 8 v8.3.2.97313), the TTS will not work anymore.
It seems that the developers removed the TTS routines, in order to make iGO more compatible with different types of PDAs
" NNG has removed TTS support from all PDA R3 releases because of compatibility issues, meaning TTS does not work with this or any other release in this thread "
Anyhow, the previous version (iGO8 v8.3.2.93112) should be OK in using TTS.
Thanks for the info. I've now downgraded to iGO8 v8.3.2.93112, but am still having problems. Can I just confirm that I have the necessary files in the right locations?
In main iGo8 folder:
- LoqEnglish6.9.dll
- LoqMsx.dll
- LoqTTS6.dll
- LoqTTS6_util.dll
- tts_loq folder
In tts_loq folder:
- EnglishGb folder
In EnglishGb folder:
- Kate subfolder
- Simon subfolder
- EnglishGB6.9.atm
- EnglishGB6.9.lex
- EnglishGB6.9.phd
- roadnr.EnglishGb6.7.lex
- sms.EnglishGb6.9.lex
In content\voice folder:
- Voice_TTS-loq-eng-uk-f1.zip
- Voice_TTS-loq-eng-uk-m1.zip
- other voice zip files
Does all this look correct?

You might be using the TTS files for the old version of iGO8.
Try to download this archive and extract it with the full paths in your iGO8 folder.
http://rs490cg.rapidshare.com/files/171581834/iGO8_R3_TTS_EnglishGB.rar
I also noticed that sometimes the TTS will fail to initialize (even if it worked in the previous use of iGO). Doing a soft reset usualy solves it.
Give it a try, hopefuly you will get it to work.
Trick
Hi
I get TTS to work if I disable M3D then soft reset.
Cheers

Thanks for the files and advice. I removed the old files, installed the ones MariusB kindly uploaded, did a soft reset, checked that manila3d.exe wasn't running (I use SPB Mobile Shell 3), and STILL no luck! (i.e. the two TTS voices are silent when I select them).
I'm encouraged that someone does have TTS working on 8.3.2.93112 however. Does anyone have any other ideas??
How can I creat my language for TTS?
My language is arabic, where can I found it, or how I convrt the files of TTS into Arabic language?
Any update on this issue?
TTS is working
I have an HTC Touch 2 smartphone and I have TTS working with version 8.3.4.102680.
English, US Amy works fine, Susan doesn't seem to work.
The phone has Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro.
Everything works like a charm the only hickups i have is that the GPS sometimes doesn't get recognised, then I have to go into the menu and set the GPS to be detected automatically. Even though I specify the port and baud rate in the sys.txt. Other than that it works fine.
I followed these instructions and i got it to work.

Also i think if you are using too much memory TTS wont work since it uses alot. Sometimes like others have said a soft reset will work or turn TF3D off.

it's not the problem with memory...
i have HD2 and 206 mb free RAM - it was not working
I tried to play with settings in sys.txt, and different voice files from internet, but got silent
i don't know about other phones, but i solved that problem on HD2 when installed the apps that related to voice control and BT
i don't know what kind of magic happens , may be some drivers changed and it's push to work TTS in iGO
here it is:
Code:
i can't post links on that forum (1.To prevent spam to the forums, new users are not permitted to post outside links in their messages), so just find it in googl by name (only one link should be appears) and dl it from forum
Cyberon_Voice_Dialer_HF_BT_Jabra_8040.rar
file list:
1_CyberonVoiceSpeedDial_1_2_b080227_0R3.cab
2_Miri_CyberonVoiceSpeedDial.cab
3_Cyberon speed dial hold button.cab
4_CVSD_1.2_build_61226_1_BTHeadsetFixed.cab
just install cabs in order 1-4
also you got BT for voice dealing (and it's working good with this pack if you hold for 3-4 sec. green button on phone or BT)
it's just named Jabra, but working with other BT, I have Plantronics 975, and it's working well
after i installed this, i wonder, but i got TTS working on iGO
also, it tested on another HD2 (friend of mine) and also we got working TTS after installing this voice BT pack and restart (before installing, TTS doesn't work)
Well, I have been on this for almost a year now and I guess I got a pretty ugly solution.
1) Go to your iGO8.3\save folder and copy both SETTINGS_LOWLEVEL_V1.sav and SYSTEM.INI to your PC so that you can edit them with notepad.
2) As soon as you open them, get rid of everything inside them, make both files completely empty and clean.
3) Overwrite the files you had on your igo8.3\save folder by the new empty ones you just created. Make sure to set their attrbutes to read-only so that igo can not change their values again.
4) Run iGo and it will ask for you to set your current language and voice settings. Choose the TTS voice that was not working before.
5) iGO should be working with TTS again.
The only problem is that by doing this igo will ask for your language and preferred voice everytime you run it. I can live with that, though.
Regards,
Vitor

[Q] TomTom Navigator 7

I have a new copy of TomTom Navigator 7 and want to use it on my HTC HD Mini. It was supplied on a 4GB card but as I've got a 16GB card installed in the phone I've copied the contents over.
Originally I fitted the memory card they sent me into the phone but it kept reporting that this version was not compatible with this phone.
How did others manage to get this working on the HD mini...
Roy_s
If you use "search feature", you'll find a lot of post about Tomtom...
The official version is not compatible with HDmini, you have to look for another software version, modified...
Thanks for the reply, I did read some of the other posts but thought that they had managed to get the new version to work. I've used an older version (WM5) on an older HTC phone for a few years. The HD mini being the newer 6.5 you'd have thought it would work and still be compatible........

Like you , i've been disappointed to notice that Tomtom is unable to sell a correct version for a new mobile like HDmini while you can find one easily on the net .
I have asked them about this without correct answer at that moment !
I did the same, they can't even say when it will be tested or even if it is on the list to be tested with this phone.
I've since found the file ttn7.917.9186_vga_black.cab and will try running that to see if it then allows me to run the installation.

If im right, im still using this version succesfully:
TTN_7.916.9192_QVGA_black_fixed_BT
You need the QVGA version with the Bluetooth fix, or else you will get errors.
Yes did see a post about TTN_7.916.9192_QVGA_black_fixed_BT but someone reported the GPS lagged. Have tried to search for that file but can't find a site that allows me to download it.
Still need to confirm the installation steps, do I run the cab first then install Navigator 7 or are there other files that I need to copy over..?
No problem, I have purchased the latest Navigator 7 from TomTom, just need help from everyone to get their software working.....

The cab is Navigator 7 (TTN=TomTom Navigator). I can't imagine you can't find the file after a thorough google search...
Yes, there is some GPS lag. This can be solved by installing GPSmod driver:

Tomtom7 working perfectly in hd mini.
Hello, is more 'than a year I use tomtom 7 - although I prefer (IGOPRIMO1.2) per hour with only ris.480X272 - TTS, but much more detailed than the TomTom. I'm leaving screenshot .... screenshot4 in particular. Here's the data that I use TOMTOM WORKING PERFECTLY! Else can not .........
P.S. my vers. not to install but copy / paste to SD card. Start navigator.exe.
The only copy is on a Dutch share site that you need to be a member to download, tried a number of variations of the name but nothing labelled as BT fix.
So I tried ttn7.917.9186_vga_black.cab which I loaded to the phone memory. It found my map on the memory card and it asks for the activation code but then returns message saying its not valid..?
It's a legal map (Western_Europe_1GB) & code I purchased so should not be a problem.
Maybe I should delete all of the files that TomTom sent me on the SD card and just put the map on there in case their Navigator 7 files are causing the problem.
In fact .... I tried that (cab) you say ..... but does not work. You have to find a zip file, where there is only one folder. you just have to (COPY IN SD CARD) exe = navigator.exe. no installation on device! Then you have to validate your map.
p.s.To run you must first validate the MAP. by the code of your device you need the code for tomtom. the code of the device (it IDENTIFYING YOUR PHONE) is one that I deleted on screenshot4.

Thanks for the reply, I'm not sure I understand fully.
The cab I have loaded (ttn7.917.9186_vga_black.cab) you say does not work, which one did you use & where can I get it?
I can't find any file called navigator.exe either in the phone or on the memory card or the SD card that TomTom sent me.
Hello. You can not tell you more, because it violates copyright laws ......
I try to make you understand:
1. tomtom program:
time ago I tried (ttn7.917.9186_vga_black.cab) but I had problems .... then turning the net I found a file.zip. Inside a folder (Navigator). if you find that you just file.zip estract in sd card root. start *. exe. The version that I use are in screenshot4.
2 then you have to unlock the MAP,
ie have the license (serial number that you derive from your serial device). Your serial device appears when you start tomtom for the first time. (registration map).
I hope you understand.
Thanks for the reply, my version is a purchased copy from TomTom so I'm not violating anything I'm just trying to get it to work. The steps I've done so far are:-
Loaded TomTom 7.916.9192 QVGA black bt.cab
> Bttrayce error reported at boot up, deleted files BtCoreIf.dll & BtSdkCE30.dll, rebooted phone
> No error message
> Run Navigator, "Western_Europe_1GB map has not been activated" message
> Entered code from TomTom, message to say "Activating"
> Error "Activation failed. Sorry this is not a valid map activation code for Western_Europe_1GB"
The map is valid, it was supplied on a memory card with the activation code by TomTom, I have only copied the map to the memory card in the phone, none of the other files on the card supplied by TomTom.
I seem to have got over the Navigator installation problem but can't get the map to activate...? Its like this cab is not compatible with the latest map I have.
I have got TomTom v7 working on the HD mini.
As this was a purchased copy I contacted TomTom support and they manually activated the map, I loaded their activation file and all working.
I have noticed a little lag, not by much, but if I compare to an older phone running TomTom my new version seems to be 10 to 20 meters behind....?
Is this the GPS lag that others have pointed out, is there a latest patch to correct this...?
Not tried the home application yet either.
