MDA Compact III doesn´t start :-( - P3300, MDA Compact III General

Hello,
yesterday i received my MDA Compact III from T-Mobile.
I remove the sim+CID Lock without any problems.
And then I wanted to flash an new rom.
I use the Artemis Update SPL method but now my Mda doesnt´start :-(
It stopps on the T-Mobile screen with the following Text :
IPL: 1.13.0001
SPL:1.13.0000
GSM:02.49.90
OS:3.4.0.0
I´ve done a hard reset three times but it doesn´t work and i can´t connect to activesync how can i repair my MDA:-(
What can I do?
Sorry for my bad englisch ;-)

As I can see you didnt use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403.
Can you get in to the bootloader?
If you do then you can put an original rom back. If you don't then send it to the service.
An unlocked device is out of warranty so be prepared to pay for the service.
Go to wiki of Artemis there you can find the method to get in to the bootloader.
Goof luck! << you need that.

Yes I can get in to the Bootloader.
But no ACtive Sync Connection :-(
How can I flash the new rom without ActiveSync? Is it possible?

you have the original SPL so I can't say if it is possible.
I'm at the moment trying to make an rom for p3300 and til now all my rom's where bad and I had to use some official rom to get it back to normal.
I use P800w_SEA_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070713 rom to do that.
This is a wm6 rom but I always make sure that I have indeed have uspl/spl 1.1000 before any cooked rom.

Straight forward unlock MDA Vario

I am planning on purchasing an MDA Vario on T-Mobile UK, however I need to use it on Vodafone UK.
I want to unlock the phone with least risk of causing any problems, or bricks as I see it more commonly termed as in this forum.
Is there a simple tool which does SIM unlock and nothing more and is it safe ? I was thinking lokiwiz version 0.1 might do that ?
Will all the new MDA Vario come with the G4 chip ? or is luck of the draw.
Please please can someone shed some light.
surely someone has done this, please please help me
I have done a straight unlock and it went fine to qtek 9100 firmware...
But:
Email and other funtions didnt work properly
Phone crashed alot
Finally the back light failed.
So about 10 minutes ago i switched back to the T-Mobile firmware.
Now everything is working perfectly and the new OS looks very nice too.
below24,
straight unlock ? -- what tool did you use to unlock ?
new OS ? -- do u mean the latest offcial T-mobile ROM ?
appreciate your input
Yes the Latest T-Mobile ROM, its from their site.
Well i have to use a piece of sortware found here, to unlock the lock on the phone so i could first flash it and that also unlocked it.
Then immediately debranded it to the Qtek 9100 ROM, which made the Device run slower (than the T-mobile one)
Not sure what it was called though probably the lokiwiz version 0.1, that was the one. Very easy and straight forward...
G4 chip MDA Vario unlocked
Got my vario today locked to T-mobile UK. And yes it was a G4 chip.
IPP/SPL - 2.21.0001
OS - 2.24.2.6
I had no t-mobile SIM so stuck my vodafone SIM in, first asks for my personal SIM password, then it asks for unlock code.
At this point I ran lokiwiz03a, which ran but never gave me unlock code, mentioned something about not being able to copy some file and it might be in use.
So I copied EnableRapi.cab to my phone and ran EnableRapi.cab from File Explorer, that went fine (message about overwrite, said yes)
Then I ran LockiwizMsl.bat from desktop while being connected to ActiveSync and there it was the unlock code.
Entered worked fine.
As regards the ROM upgrade, my main reason was to lose all t-mobile crap, but found an easier way with ZERO risk:
First time ever you startup phone it does inital setup, the last step it beings to do an install, as soon as the install starts pull the battery out, then reboot. (Important to have the battery cover off already)
On reboot you should be able to go into the phone no setup screens this time, also ZERO customizations, yes means you need to do all the GPRS, MMS etc etc setting yourself, but that I am happy to do.
Hope this helps someone.
forgot main thing, used lokiwiz03a, thanks to machinagod.
Good, im glad i could have been of assistance.
good luck in the future with it.
but the pulling out of the battery im not too sure about...
I agree pulling battery out sounds crazy, I remember reading it in a forum, thought it would never work myself, since it was a new phone i could always return in 7 days, so thought what the hell, let me try it out.
Been running one day, and everything works fine, phone is fine, wi-fi working, bluetooth and GPS, so far so good.
Trying some tweak programs now
Loving my MDA, why did i not get one sooner.
Thats what i thought, the Vario is very good, but i still think its a little on the large side and not as fast as it can be... I am really waiting for the tytn.
I have found that the firmware from T-mobile is pretty stable and has a quicker startup than the qtek 9100 firmware. however this may not be the case with everyones mobile, just me!
Could you not just perform a soft reset instead of pulling the battery out?
soft reset - you mean when the install begins ?
really not sure, guess next person can try this out and let us know.
This tool is great, file transfer it to your MDA then just click on it, it will unlock your phone to all networks, I tried it on my MDA Vario with T-mobile for an o2 sim and it works great no issues, I can use GPRS, MMS, Call waiting etc
...yes, soft reset while device installs works (of course I made a full backup with SPB-backup first)...
straight forward unlock mda vario
I receiced this logfile while executing
xdadev_all_unlock started
device=WIZA200
could not find security key for device type WIZA200
xdadev_all_unlock failed
I guess mine is already unlocked, ain't it...

best way to tell is to put different provider sim in there and turn it on.

when you try to unlock with buzzdev uni unlock, sometimes you get no signal problem. try to run the unlocker again and flash the radio once again.

what has happend?
and how can i repair it?
can't get a SD flash also, how dou you stay in the SD flash screen mine pops direct to te multicolor screen
Jo, you're also from the Netherlands. You also got the REPPLOG.EXE error? I have the same problem. The device is stuck at the booting screen. you have two options: 1 => send it to HTC or 2 => wait for official Dutch HTC P3300 WM 6 rom update. Oh, btw, it's crucial that you can enter bootloader mode ( voice button + soft reset, and keep holding the voice button all the time ), or else you won't be able to update the device with WM6. If you made any progress please let me know! I'm just gonna wait for HTC....
Good luck

had the same problem twice but easily solved with putting the device in usb mode (record+reset while holding record) and starting the orginal German WM6 install package from O2. Now it's German offcourse but i did installing the Dutch custom rom again (wait about 1 houer, wait only half ouer waas't finishd here!) after loading dutch rom reset with holding the 2 softbuttons, at question press greencall button.

Nevver talked about CID locked device. Mine is't CID locked, don't take that risk for less than 30 euro.
OMG u can update it on CID locked p3300
I bricked my T-Mobile MDA C3 NL trying to upgrade to the wwe version, it actually is CID-locked, so i knew it could go wrong.
My question is if anyone can supply me with the dutch t-mobile rom for this device, i tried flashing it with the german and the uk versions, but it gives me INVALID ID error after a few seconds in the flashing process.
I can get in to the bootloader using the voicekey+reset option.
Anyone who knows a solution to this problem?
As far as I know, there's no Dutch T-Mobile Rom avaible on the internet. I'm afraid that you have to wait untill T-Mobile NL releases a WM6 Rom. Or you could contact the customerservice (or T-Mobile shop) to get it repaired. As long as you didn't CID-unlock your device you still have your guarantee. T-Mobile will fix it for you cost free and pretty quick. I have send my MDA Compact III 2 times already and had it back in 4 days.
Can't wait for that long, so i called my insurance company. will have a temp phone here in under 4 hours.
Let's hope i'll have my CIII back in a few days, think i'll CID unlock it before trying an upgrade this time
lekkere nederlandse thread hiero
I have got my bricked T-Mobile Compact 3 back form repair.
i had CID-unlocked it, had no problem with my guarantee.
now i will wait a week or 2 on the T-mobile germany or maby The Netherlands.
As i have read @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308164
i will juse this methode.

still no official T-Mobile Rom.

HELP! New ROM image has left me high and dry

I've just tried updating my O2 Orbit ROM to Black&Bluev3 and now can't use it on the O2 network. The SIM is working fine at the moment in my old Hermes
everything seemed to have gone fine, (I ran USPL first) but after restarting the phone won't recognise the sim - before I even had a chance to enter the pin 3 times it reported that it required the unlocking code, and then refused to accept the unlocking code once I'd got that.
So now I've got a very sleek PDA, but no phone Any idea where I can get an O2 ROM from as I can't see it listed in the Artemis list, and am I looking for a ROM or extended ROM (what is the difference anyway?)

it would be the rom mate.
Question as I have O2 orbit too and uk based.
have you tried reflashing phone not forgetting to do the USPL again first.
I had a problem where mine seemed to freeze up when I upgraded one of our and by doing this it worked fine.
worth a try what have you got to loose.
If all else fails they claim that O2 uk are goinmg to release this month but thats a way off.
Try the reinsall. BUT DONT FORGET USPL first
Hmmm.... false alarm methinks - after an hour or so the same unblocking message came up on the vario - I swapped it back and it worked first time in the new ROM imaged Orbit - so it was probably a SIM issue. BTW it seems there are no UK ROM images available for O2...
Yes there are uk o2 roms - see stickies in artemis upgrading and artemis mobile 6 forums.
you've got to laugh - why can't they just release it into tehpublic domain in the first place - it's not like anybody is going to CHOOSE and O2 ROM unless it's for a bet....
Anyway - hats off to step0011 and well done to the community - we win again!

Bricked my MDA WIZA200

I Upgraded the MDA to WM6, worked fine and everything went okay for a while until I decided I wanted to use a NOMI sim card, and hadn't unlocked it.
I used lokiwiz to get the unlock code but there was nowhere to enter the it on the cooked WM6 ROM and it never displayed the sim lock screen, so I tried to downgrade it to the original T-mobile UK ROM just to do the SIM lock but the PC decided to crash as it was at 40%.
So it now freezes on the splash screen, and doesnt boot at all. I was thinking I could skim it accross the river maybe?
IPL 2.21.0001
SPL 2.21.0lip
GSM 02.19.11
OS 2.21.2.6
If theres nothing that can be done then in that case, does anyone want to buy an MDA? going cheap. Just call me on my mobile.. erm.. on second thoughts better just send me an email.
cheers
There is still nothing wrong its just failed flash process. Take the battery out and once you got boot screen .....run the upgrade process again. There is lots of info about this here on xda. just search for it.
