Button 5 (Press & hold) not functional: Install SJ Sleuth_PTTFix.cab to fix this. Since Button 5 can't launch the Record feature, I've assigned Record to Button 1 and Messaging to Button 5. 1. Schaps Adv Config doesnt work. HTCustom says theres in error when u save settings, but just SR and it all taked effect.
2. How do i get rid of the lines in the messages screen? Kinda annoying. I think they went away when i changed the theme.

I can confirm this doesnt work. Nothing can be mapped to the button (tried both Sleuth255's and vp3G's fix). You CAN however map it to a softkey.
Button 5.
Make sure that you have an icon in the Windows/Start Menu/Programs.
I found that if I copy an icon from the Windows directory to that folder it works. But not with this Rom yet.

I didn't flash it, as I prefer a german ROM, but I like it much.
Suggestion for second version:
1. Make 4MB PP version to get more Programs RAM,
2. Throw Schaps Adv Config out, as it seems not to work
one could install a functional ACT 1.0 as cab afterwards
(suggesting that ACT is cooked in, though)
3. Throw HTC Task Manager out, as everyone could install
any version as cab also
4. Throw camera pics out (if you haven't done yet)
5. Throw games out (if you haven't done yet)
6. Add Bennec83s nicer 3G icon + Battery icons
So you could save even some more memory and make a
megaclean superstorage big program ram version

If you install Schaps 10 button Com Manager the Adv Config will work (no surprise). Is there a particular to advantage to the 10 button Com Manager that's in the ROM now compared to Schaps?
First off great job! Just out of curiousity, how did you know which files to remove, when you dumped the ROM?

As stated at first post, this rom is based on 3.62 + Bepe's bigstorage (used XIP from 3.60), no luck with direct patch.

Thanks for the info! Actually I've already tried keybddr.dll from other rom (like v3.60), it makes button 5 works normaly but somehow it screw beam/bluetooth function.

no! it is fixed
if i knew how to cook a rom myself, and had the time, i would have done a rom EXACTLY like this - removing those "tools", media files and setting kaiser style comm mgr and dialpad as standard.
even the "keyboard mapping while in a call"-bug is fixed in your rom!
that is where most of the roms have their problems with.

i think my looooong search for the perfect rom is over now...

just in case you continue your work: please keep in bubblebreaker, as i love that game and i have read it here a couple of times that there is no cab available.

Well...all loaded and pretty rock solid. Couple things though ~
* Keyboard is not working quite right regardless of selecting "Cingular" or "English" as the keyboard layout in "Advanced Config." Some symbols are not imputing correctly, most are. Having a hard time getting the numbers to work as well. May be due to my next point.
* An unfamiliar Word Completion tool is ON by default. Is there a way to shut this off or control how it behaves? HTC EzInput + XT9 [NEW] is the tool I'm referring to. Wish I could turn it off.
I have cruised through just about every screen possible and everything else seems great.

I really like those ROMs. However there is one thing I don't really like. The shortcut to a new message via Voice Speed Dial is convenient, no doubt about it. But I often use a BT headset and usually when I press the button, voice speed dial appears and I can say the name and I'm connected. Now I need to look for the person in my contacts and do all the job manually. Is it possible to revert back to standard function or install it separately?

Yes you can use voice speed dial cab files availble as add ons in any of the threads, I actually use it on my Schap's ROM's.
keyboard mapping bug fix brought up a new problem:
when in a call and typing into the notes-app there is some stupid t9 software which catches the keypresses and a popup windows appears. probably the htc xtp software tubededentifrice was asking about.
could not find where to deactivate that software.

When I install JAVA (either Tao or JBED), I can't really get them to work on my HTC TyTN, could you also provide a ROM which has the JBED JAVA manager so that I could play JAVA files on my HTC TyTN.

Are you referring to the Phone tab, and how it won't close? If not, consider this a bug report: if you select Settings/Personal/Phone, the phone settings will appear, but it will not close with OK.

this is my first post, and I just installed V4 b3 everything seems smooth but put some new ringtones on and when I go to change them it wont let me, keeps reverting back to the default setting for ringtone and wont close the settings window with OK in top corner have to reset to get rid of it, I am very happy on the whole with the look and feel of the ROM, just thought I would report the bug I had on mine, maybe some others have the same problem maybe just me??

lol atleast in with the ap project rom i told people straight away my build is from darkforce via chris
A few issues
1. Cannot close sound settings
2. Cannot shut off SIM contacts on my phone screen
3. Still have formatting issue in email where any photo attached to a contact are being pushed off the screen until I slide open my keyboard and close it.
Maybe it me, but this ROM does not seem as snappy as the last few of Schaps I've tried. I still like the Schaps ROM better than the rest...can't wait for this to go to final.

And to the XDA community, where we get so much from, that wouldn't be available to us otherwise.
This ROM is UC (User Customization) compliant. It means that you can install your cabs all at once after first boot. For this you only must have 2 things:
SDConfig.txt(with the path for cabs and xml you want to install) in Storage Card root;
Folder with the files included in the SDConfig.txt
To know more about this awesome feature, check this. Even if you're not a UC addicted you'll find this feature very useful in restoring your Owner Information, Device Name, E-mail and WIFI settings, and many more using xml files. You'll find more instructions in the above thread, on how to retrieve those informations directly from your ROMs registry.

Now about Beam:
In WM6.1 the beam function works a bit different than in WM6, since Micro$oft decided to add another registry entry to control this function.
So we used to be able to enable/disable the beam function just by going to the Comm Manager or in the Settings. And what would this action do? It would disable the ability for the device to receive files (by BT or IR), and the function enable/disable would be simultaneously changed in Settings->Beam and in Comm Manager.
Well, in WM6.1 the beam function was divided in 2 parts:
being the Obex service which enables files transfer and is controlled by Setting->Beam
being the switch that allows your device to receive files which is controlled by Comm Manager->Beam
And what does this all mean? It means that if one of these 2 parts of the function is Disabled, you'll not be able to receive files. On the other hand, even if both parts of the functions are in deed disabled, you'll still be able to send files. However, I recommend that the obex service is always Enabled(best for file transfers), meaning that in Settings->Beam, the box "receive all incoming beams" must always be checked, and you can Enable/Disable receiving files by changing the Beam setting in Comm Manager. This is my understanding of how it currently works, according to what I've read about so far. I may not be 100% correct, and feel free to correct me if I’m not, but one thing is for sure, to be able to receive files, you need both parts of the function enabled.

To have the network names display correctly download "FInixNOver Enable correct Network Names.cab" - thanks to tnyynt
For those of you that don't like the battery icon, but also don't want to have the time or date display on the title bar, you can have another icon. An analog clock. Download "FInixNOver Title Bar Analog Clock Tweak.cab". Don't forget to soft reset afterwards.

i have tried your rom, but if i had a storage card insert it isnt able do boot after the flashtime, it will hang on on the welcomehead picture.

1- So far after instaled only SPB Shell 2 and mortscript, I can say it's the fastest rom tried. Look like you overclocked my trinity CPU

1) RAM after moderate use comes down to as low as 25 MB if shifted from titanium to TF3D2.
2) WIFI icon is unusable from COMM manager.
(WIFI icon works perfectly fine after HARD RESET.)
3) contacts open up at startup by default.
4) htc startup animation doesnt work sometimes.
about the ram issue, i guess only UDK can help us if he provides us his erv file. his 6.5 rom gives amazing 66 MB ram at startup. that in case with TF3D2 ported will give around 50 MB free ram.
sounds good. if senior members help me, maybe beta 2 will have decent ram.

Click on Start\Settings\Today - Then click on the 'Items' Tab and then check the TouchFlo 3D option.
Then when you close that screen by clicking on the green tick TouchFlo will start up

I tired installing this rom and now my phone won't go past the first screen that says TouchDiamond. I've flashed other roms fine, but something must have went wrong with this one. Can I get any help? I tried searching around already
Update: I held down the power and volume down button. Got me into the security screen and now trying the rom again.

You did flash a stock ROM first right? I had hard resets until I did that so it must be done.

1.) You just need to change the StartMenu_Global_320x240.cpr and StartMenu_Global_240x320.cpr files. Theres plenty of cabs for it in this forum somewhere. Should be easy to search for.
2.) eNatives ShowcaseSuite 1.1.0 is included and I have it defaulted to close apps on X. You can find it under tools..I haven't had any issues with it yet.

what I dislike:
1) commanager selection not refreshing (when scrolling remains blue)
2) hard buttons assignments
3) where is the voice command/recorder?
4) dialer background not following the theme
also I don't like showcase and the setting for vibrating on close. my battery already drain fast that simply there is no reason to add one more!

well, links for hard-buttons are in a specific folder and there is the buttons application to easily change them, so this is not major issue. usually I prefer to have these as the original hermes settings and allow people customizing them only if they like...
anyway, this is a great ROM, pretty close to an official quality.

Nice job! This is really close to be one of the best! But I do have a problem.
The hardware keyboard is not working as it should be. First the keys were all mixed up. I did get rid of it with "Advanced Config" (Keyboard from A&T/Cingular to English). But the Cap/Shift key is not working at all! It was fine before this! In Finland we use Ä Ö Å that I can usually find by typing A and push the blue circle and space bar.. It isn't working either!
This must be my twentieth ROM in Hermes. This is the first time I counter a problem like this. I could try to install a pack like this if I would find one in English.

I testet it with any english rom and it works perfect for me.
