XDA Orbit Bluetooth and Radio - P3300, MDA Compact III General

Hi Guys,
I am planning on buying a Motorola S9 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones for the XDA Orbit I have just bought and was wandering if the FM radio will work with it? I believe that that the original headset acts as an Ariel.

No,
I've got a bt headset, there's no way I can find to divert audio from the FM radio to the headset even with the wired headset plugged in and "speaker" or "headset" selected.
I tried a utility which claims to divert *all* audio to bluetooth (sorry can't remember what it's called) but that didn't work either.
Regards

BT stereo headsets supporting A2DP

Please post which stereo BT headsets models are you using, that support A2DP, and work properly with Universal (and AVRCP)?
Motorola HT820 ?
Jabra BT620s ?
i-Tech BlueBAND ?
Anycom BSH-100?
Any mono BT headsets (for single ear use), also supporting A2DP?

I am using Anycom Bluetooth Stereo HeadPhones. Works nicely, yet to try the patch which stops lags while streaming.
RE
Which Universal ROM are you using that supports AVRCP?
I think QTEK 9000 latest ROM update supports only A2DP and NOT AVRCP

The latest Qtek one WWE one. It doesn't mention AVRCP anywhere, but it works!
bluetooth headset
I have the Iphono mini
Good
Nice sound when in stero
Bad
I need to refresh the bluetooth connection in comms everytime its seperated
With the Audible software (audio books) I only get sound out of one ear - they are looking for it.
So dont go for Iphono interested to hear experience of others with diffrent brands of stero bluetooth headsets
I have already written a review of my nokia hs-12w stereo BT headset, but the rough conclusion was, not perfect but quite good and probably the best spec'd on the market at the moment, considering it has an LCD display (yet to be supported by the Exec) and an RDS FM radio too
PS AVRCP also works

cable headset - AVRCP?

is there possibility to use cable headset like BT headset with AVRCP?
BT stereo headset are too big and not cheap.
I would like to control mediaplayer from headset
I do not need A2DP because I need only to listen audiobook, not music, so quality isn't so important.
Mono BT headset (I have jabra130) doesn't work with audio streaming on my Himalaya, and they doesn't support AVRCP profile.
any idea?
AVRCP is a bluetooth profile. If your headset is not bluetooth then it will not have AVRCP.
maybe something similair?

haven't met with any solution so far.. simply these devices haven't anything to control with excpept the radio waves.. it has only jack/etc. with these you cannot control anything.
Some headphones has an additional button which can be used to answer talk. Jack connection has additional place to use it. is it possible to catch pushing this button programmatically?

Bluetooth Handsfree / Headset?

So I have a 8525, very new to it. I am using sleuths latest WM6 ROM. I paired my plantronics bluetooth handsfree which supports both profiles "handsfree and headset" it paired as handsfree and works for calls as expected. But I have yet to figure out a way to pipe all audio to the headset or pair it as a headset. I can pair it as a headset on a PC, but not the 8525. I remember having this issue with my 2125 and having to get some software to allow this, I assumed with all the stereo bluetooth work and that this was a pocket pc and not a smartphone that this was not an issue any more.
I tried searching but so many posts come up for bluetooth headset or handsfree, not having much luck.
Which headset are you using?
I have the plantronics voyager 510, works fine as the handsfree with the phone and sleauth wm6 rom. Just trying to figure out the way to get the headset side to work so I can listen to audio books and podcasts.
I will keep searching, keywords get me results just going to have to keep sifting.
You need a headset with AD2P profile or your gonna need to get some hack to route all bt audio to a mono headset.
Is there such a hack? I have the Plantronics 520 bt headset which works really well with voice, but won't play any music. I've tried all the various cabs from this forum but none has worked. The "wireless stereo" option in the bt settings when I pair it to my 8525 is grayed out ... does this mean that the headset cannot do music at all? Even though I really like this unit, if that's true, I'll need to return it and find one that does.

I'm pretty sure pocket player supports mono bluetooth headsets. Bad thing is it costs $20. Good thing is you can try it free for 30 days to make sure it does work. Or you can goto amazon and pick up the Jabra BT620 headphones for under $40; they work great for me.

Bluetooth in Car Stereo

hi guys, i got a new Stereo in my car, its a sony xplod MEX-BT3750(i dont like sony, but was a excelent deal for this stereo), it have bluetooth for calling (handsfree) and for music (A2DP)
the point is that my excalibur doesnt detect the stereo, i got the ROM 3VOLUTION SERIES Version 3VO.2.00.071809
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523718
could you guys please recomend a bluetooth working ROM?
thanks
updating this post.
the problem was on the stereo bluetooth module so i was protected with the warranty. problem solved.
now my question is:
is there something in the registry to put the Stereo as DEFAULT A2DP for music? because when i want to use it, i need to connect manually, not as handsfree, when i turn on bluetooth, it automatically conect to the stereo, but not the audio A2DP.
thx

You're going to have to clarify what you mean "over my bluetooth" over your bluetooth what... stereo... headset?
If you mean stereo you have to pair your bluetooth stereo with your phone... Once paid it should have asked you if you want to connect it via A2DP which is stereo bluetooth (ie all the sound from your phone will be routed to the stereo) then any phone calls or music or GPS directions will be routed to the new audio source. Read the manual of your unit and it should tell you how to pair it.
If you are just trying to pair it with a headset their is a cab file you can install that will have the stereo sounds (as mentioned above) be routed to a headset. I havnt had to use that in ages and ages though so I dont remember what it was called. You'll have to do some searching. What it does is it takes all the audio from your phone and makes it so it can play on simple mono headsets, as opposed to connecting via A2DP to a unit that can actually play stereo audio
