Using the Auto Installation Feature
Step 1: Preparing the cabs
---------------------------
- To use the auto installation features, the cabs must be set to "Read Only", must not have any "setup dll", and must have a "hard coded installation path" which means you should not be allowed an option to choose where to install the cabs.
- To set the cabs to a static path, install WinCECab Manager.
- Open a cab with WinCE Cab Manager and click on "CAB Information".
- Double click on "Default Install Dir" then select "Installation Directory" tab and choose "Do not allow user to select installation directory"
- Save the cab then right click on the can and select "Read Only" and click apply/OK.
- Check if there "Setup dll" is present under Cab Information. If setup dll is present, delete it off.
- Check and prepare all the cabs you want to auto install and place them into the Cabs Folder.
Step 2: Editing the Config.txt file
-----------------------------------
- You will now need to add the file names into the config.txt file.
- Open up Config.txt in "Cabs" folder with Notepad.
- You should see the following content:

- Ignore the Fist line "LOCK" and the last two lines "LOCK", "RST"
- From here on, it should be pretty straight forward. For every cab you want to install, you will need the line:

- Simply Add the name of the cabs you prepared earlier into this file and click "save".
- Right click on the config.txt file and select Read Only.
Step 3: HARD RESET!

- Finally, HARD RESET the phone by holding down the two soft keys simultaneously, and push the reset button with the stylus
- Auto installation will begin after the Rom completes its configuration

FAQ
Q: Hardware keyboard symbols are incorrectly mapped....
A: Default Layout is AT&T 8525's layout. You can change the layout with PHM Registry. Select the Keyboard layout shortcut and change the settings to:
Q: I cannot map HOTVOICE to button 5
A: This is a known issue with the current keyboard driver, you can map hotvoice to any other buttons but button 5.
Q: My GPRS/MMS is not working
A: Install Connection Setup cab. Go into settings -> connection tab -> connection setup, and setup your operator.
Q: After playing with Advanced Config/SK tools with this rom, the beam button in Comm Manager disappeared!
A: Add the missing button back from Advanced config. Button 10 = "Beam" or don't use those tools.
Q: I can't save pocket outlook attachments to storage card.
A: Make sure Extended Rom is hidden.
Q: How do I close apps? clicking on "X" only minimizes the apps (LITE ONLY)
A: Press and hold "X" until app closes in Full version. For Lite version, install a task manager. (Recommendation: HTC Task Manager + Task switch combo (included in Full) | WkTask)
Q: How do I get WM5torage to work? I activated the app but nothing happens
A: After activating WM5torage, click on menu -> troubleshooting -> disable both options.

A: It is not recommended to enable startup animation and sound as it cripples the phone volume.

Q: How to View/Store Pictures in Storage Card
A: By default, HTC album searches pictures in My Pictures and DCIM folder.

- Create "My Documents" folder in storage card
- Create "My Pictures" and "My Videos" folders in My Documents
- In the camera, select storage card for default storage location
Pictures taken will be saved in storage card.
Q: How do I get HTC Album to show all pictures
A: Rename My Pictures Folder to something else and HTC Album will show all pictures.
Q: Will you cook in the HTC Album with folder selection option?
A: No. It prompts you to select the folder every time which is a nuisance, and it is buggy.
Q: The rom drains battery quickly!
A: Let the battery fully drain out, then do a full recharge.

Is the path 'Storage Card\Cabs\' hardcoded? How does the OS find the config.txt file?
Nice job K. Seems to be hanging in the install of TCPMP, I hard reset and tried again, same thing. I will install the cab manually after a reset.
Edit: Looks like the path is not hard coded hence the hang. Easy fix. Great fast ROM.

My install looked like it hung on TCPMP too, but after much patience, it did finish.
However, I think I mucked up the auto CAB install by not putting the config.txt file in the right spot. Must figure out...
Other thoughts -- I had to download the Connection Setup cab from the 1.30a thread as it's not part of this package? Once I ran that, data connection is config'd correctly (for AT&T/US).

BTW, is there any other tool for preparing cabs for auto install other than WinCE cab manager?
Some cabs take longer than the others to install, they will look like they are frozen but they will move after awhile (i.e. htc home). Also, the included TCPMP has a much nicer icon hope you guys like it. I should also change WMP's icon one day.
I'm not sure what else can you use to change the folder path, but if you have trouble changing some of the cabs, you can upload the files here and I'd have them changed. Also, do note that cabs that prompts an option after installation i.e. illumsoft screen capture will not auto install.

Yeah, the TCPMP.CAB is hanging near end of install. As stated, it needs to be unmarked as Read only, tweaked with the WinCE Cab Manager and modified to not allow user to select installation directory, save, then mark as read only again and move to the storage card\cabs to replace original.
EDIT: Kin0kin: I waited about 3 minutes and it was still hung. After making the change above, it flew through the install without the hang. I recommend making this change and repackage the download.

How to upgrade?
Method 1: You must've installed the Ollipro's SPL 2.10 and select the option no. 4 which is
" SPL-2.02/2.10 New Bootloader and check the last check box " Is it Hard-SPL?" and then carry on with the upgrade wizard.

Method 2: Use SSPL when upgrading by checking the 5th radio button " Force using SSPL"
But I prefer the first method to the 2nd one.

Section B: Setting PagePool size before you upgrade! (No need to Hex edited it yourself) How To ...a simpler way
----------------------------------------------------------
1. Download and execute the proper patcher in the same folder you extracted the NBH and RUUWrapper.exe files (Download below). If the patching success then ...
2. Run RUUWrapper.exe to install the ROM on your device as instructed in Section A.
**Attention: Never!, I mean 'never!' run my patch on other Cooks' .nbh files. It will brick your device!
And ...
If you already have ran the patcher once on the .nbh file, you still can run it again and again just to patch it to other size. Just select the appropriate patcher and run it on the same folder of the ROM .nbh file (Recommended).

Tips And Tricks!!!
Some simple tricks you can do to improve your device (Very simple but effective) And Some Hints:
1. Improve performance/response time:
- Start > Settings > Phone => Keypad = Off
- Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications; Under Sound Tab => Disable/Untick Events (warings, system events)
2. Your Windows Mobile device is just like your Windows PC. So, soft reset it before going to sleep (or whenever appropriate) once a day to make it runs good at all time.
3. Make sure you install the today plugin apps such as Resco Today Plugin etc. on the internal/device memory. Some today plugin can be installed on the storage card but it'll slow down your system performance a bit.
4. Do not install too many apps on the internal/device memory. Leave as much free space as you can on it. Check whether it can be install on the storage card or not. Normally, don't let it become as low as 8MB free but 10MB is enough already.
5. Know what you're doing such as tampering your system registry. Make sure it can be done and you're doing it the right way. If not, then leave it as is.

It's not a tab, it a dropdown box. When you open the phone settings, immediately you'll see the keypad dropdown box in the middle of the screen.
For your feedback No 1, It should install and launch ok. Try it again and soft reset after the installation. Remember to install it on the device memory.

Thanks. Good to hear you like GSFinder+ but I cannot delete the MS Explorer since it's a base core applications for some of the programs in the phone itself such as Bluetooth ftp etc. So GSFinder+ is considered as a bonus application.

1. Is sdkcerts.cab integrated into the ROM?.
2. phcanoverbmp.dll is installed in the Dialers directory. It should go to windows.
3. Cyphol, your phcanoverbmp.dll is too big of a size. 470KB versus mine of only 150KB. The bmp inside the dll is 32bit bmp images. You dont need 32bit images, because the actual Kaiser images only contain 8 bits(256 colors). Therefore you cannot distinguish the diff if you convert all the bmp to 8 bits.
4.The first 3 bmp are wrong. It should contain the Video In, VideoOut, and Video Miss bmp.
I am done with the dialers. Make sure you use the latest update. The latest update use Kaiser Smartdialer which not only looks nicer but also provide more functionality over the traditional.
May I know what else did you change from the original?

I'm using the phcanbmp* from Bennec83 for multi colored batttery icon.
I've already packaged your latest creation in the add-ons. Since many want the original dialer so i cooked in the original interface but package the Kaiser style for others including me.

This time, I propose to make something focused essentially on speed, stability, memory and storage rather than spending time with aesthetics.
So, inside you'll find basically only the Operating System, with its' basic functionalities. All the rest, you can install by yourself, according to your needs.
It doesn't make sense to fill storage, with applications that you will never need.
Concerning the aesthetics, there are a lot of themes out there...it's just a matter of searching!
I also want to share with you, the best way to make your updates of firmware, as most of the bugs that we find, are the result of a bad-flash. Most of the times, of you re-flash, the bugs disappear.
To avoid this, this is how I flash my roms:
1. Hard Reset your device, pressing OK at the end
2. Before it starts rebooting, make another Hard Reset, but now don't press the OK button. Instead, remove the battery!
3. Wait 1 minute. While you wait, remove the storage card and the SIM card as well
4. Put the battery inside the pda again.
5. Press the buttons Camera + Power + Reset (with the pen, on the bottom of the pda) until you see the screen with color strips
6. Insert usb cable
7. Start flashing the device, as you always do.
8. As soon as it reaches 100% on the screen of the pda, it becomes black for a couple of seconds. Then, make a hard-reset, and press ok.
9. Make another hard reset, but now, but now don't press the OK button. Instead, remove the battery!
10. Wait 1 minute
11. Re-insert the battery, memory card and SIM card
12. With the pen, press the reset button on the bottom of the pda until it starts.
13. Have FUN!!
P.S - I WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT RESULT ON USING THIS ROM OR FLASHING PROCESS. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

For those who loose their WIFI settings after a softreset, please follow these instructions (thank's dta1974):
[!] For prevent password and account dissapearing u should (you should make this procedure immediately after first soft reset ):
1. Set up your connection settings
2. Open IExplorer / Set up Internet connection / Open some internet page
3. Click Disconnect button to close internet connection
4. Hold power button and turn off your phone
5. Power on your phone.
After that procedure your password wont disapear. I think that you should repeat the same for mail account (set up mail account / try to send or recieve your mail / hold disconnect button / turn off your phone)

Using the Auto Installation Feature [optional]
Step 1: Preparing the cabs
---------------------------
- To use the auto installation features, the cabs must be set to "Read Only", must not have any "setup dll", and must have a "hard coded installation path" which means you should not be allowed an option to choose where to install the cabs.
- To set the cabs to a static path, install WinCECab Manager.
- Open a cab with WinCE Cab Manager and click on "CAB Information".
- Double click on "Default Install Dir" then select "Installation Directory" tab and choose "Do not allow user to select installation directory"
- Save the cab then right click on the cab and select "Read Only" and click apply/OK.
- Check if there "Setup dll" is present under Cab Information. If setup dll is present, delete it off.
- Check and prepare all the cabs you want to auto install and place them into the Cabs Folder.
Step 2: Editing the Config.txt file

- You will now need to add the file names into the config.txt file.
- Open up Config.txt in "Cabs" folder with Notepad.
- You should see the following content:

Q: What is the difference between this Rom and the Flexi Rom?
A: The Flexi Rom has better customize-ability in the sense that almost every app installed in the rom can be uninstalled from windows. However, there is a speed penalty for the extra flexibility. OTOH, this version of the Rom is the original K's Rom, with enhanced speed and stability. However, most of the apps are cooked-in and cannot be uninstalled from windows like the Flexi Rom.
Q: Hardware keyboard symbols are incorrectly mapped....
A: Default Layout is AT&T 8525's layout. You can change the layout with PHM Registry. Select the Keyboard layout shortcut and change the settings to:

YouTube Package - TCPMP + Flash Video Bundle [Included in cabs folder] - Everything you need to start watching youtube and some other FLV sites. Simply browse to the FULL FLV website (NOT mobile version of those web sites) and watch all the videos you want. Clips can also be downloaded to the phone!
***NOTE: Most FLV websites are fully supported, some are not. Do not expect every single FLV site to work.
Other Hardkey Mapper - If you plan to use other hardkey mapper i.e. spb/AE button plus, you may need to remove PTT Fix and do a soft reset before the other app could work.
HTC Equalizer 1.0.2 - Requires headphone to be plugged in before it can work. There is a bug with headphone equalizer whereby the bottom taskbar may disappear, leaving only the keyboard icon intact. It does not affect the functions, but it is annoying. This bug is found on all headphone equalizer I know out there. Hence....it will not be cooked into the rom but available as a stand alone.
illumsoft Screen Capture v1.1 - This is what I used to take the screenshot, the app icon is seen in one of the pictures but it is not cooked in. When the app is running, Button1 (sms hard key) is mapped to take screenshot. You can also set timer and etc. FREEWARE!

if you would release optionally a cleaner rom (without BT Explorer, Flashlight, VoiceRecorder, WM5torage, SmsBackup, SuperBright, PHM Registry, Internet Sharing, Soft-Reset Shortcut, ArcSoft MMS, AdobePDF, Adobe Reader, FlashLitePlayer, Pocket RAR, StreamingMedia, ...) and provide cabs for those tools then it would be perfect!
The rom is built on NetCF 2.0. I have updated the page with microsoft NetCF 3.5 beta 1 link if you wish to download NetCF 3.5. I will cook it in on the next release.
I didn't plan on releasing a lite rom since there were already so many lite roms out there, but removing those apps is easy so I will likely release a lite rom along with an update shortly.
Schen's 3G kaiser dialer is the only dialer that is 100% bug free from all the kaiser dialer that I've tested. If you use the 2G kaiser dialer, or any dialer directly ported from the elf, there is an issue with missing texts when you enter letters and numbers at the same time into the dialer. Again, I didn't want to use anything that is buggy, this rom has been personally tested thoroughly by me to ensure there is virtually no bugs that'd affect daily usage. Also, I wanted to cook in the video dialer because that'd make life easier for the folks with hermes that support video dialing. For us folks in the NA, it really doesn't matter if the dialer is 3G or 2G just dont use the video button
Also, I strongly recommend people to change the pagepool to 6mb prior to flashing the rom, it is very easy to do so with the pagepool changer.

intriguing, may I ask, what did you use as the base ROM? I've been trying too cook a Kaiser style ROM (with the dialer, com manager, etc. you feature) based on Schaps 4.20 with little succuess, and this ROM seems pretty close (I'm flashing as soon as I can to test it out). Thank you for your work!
i played with it for a bit last night, and this rom seems to actually be gaining me about 5-10 FPS in Pocket GNUBoy (GBC emulator) coming from shamanix's grass 1.3.
seems pretty snappy in other things, but ill keep using it for a couple days.

Spb Backup
This is a great tool for ensuring your data is backed up! I have it set to automatically backup every morning at 5:00. Works well since I always have a copy no more than 24 hours old. Great software, I completely recommend it. Also, it includes a desktop component which allows you to extract information in the backup file like your text messages and contacts.

I have found this to be a great tool for managing your system. It includes specific tools to manage the memory in all aspects, as well as some system tweaks.

Disabling Auto-Suggest [xT9]

Not all of you may have this problem, but if you do, you'll know it, and it probably irritates you! Certain ROM's that include the Touch Keyboard are set to xT9 as default, which causes the auto-suggest when typing in certain applications, like text messaging. It's the little black bar that pops up above the keyboard, even if your not using the Touch Keyboard. It slows down the typing speed and makes sending a new text more work than it should be. To rid of it , change the following registry entries.

Personally, I hate the original cube! Takes up a good bit of memory, and is almost impossible to change, at least for me. It may be that I'm using a custom ROM, but out of all the available cube sets out there, which includes the cube config app, it's never 100% correct. So I currently disabled it, prevented the use of the four associated apps, and use Slither's Cube. By doing this you can save some memory and prevent the accidental cube swipes in other apps.
1. Disable the cube - This requires one very simple registry edit

2. To save memory, the four associated files, QuickDial.exe, MediaHubMini.exe, AppLauncher.exe, and BioTouch.exe have been recreated with a 0kb file size thanks to panosha.

All together this will prevent these apps from running in your memory, disable the cube, and still keep the remaining TFlo settings enabled, such as the kinetic scrolling.

This has always bugged me to no end, having to turn the phone back on just to hang up.
I have found the best way to do this by using A_C's S2U2, and as xda users, you probably already have this installed.
Just a simple setting, here is how I have it set, basically you'll use S2U2 to control how your device shuts off.

I always see this same question asked over and over again, so here it is, the proper settings of your GPS.
1. Before you can make any adjustments, you must, of course, have the GPS enabled. I will not get into flashing, since it is an entirely different subject. You could probably write a million word essay on how to do it, and there would still be questions. Best place to start is at PPCGeeks.

For those who have already flashed, here are the settings, and one registry edit I've found, and seems to work.

After everything is correct, it is best to use a GPS Primer to obtain your initial sat lock, that means only the very first time, unless you are in a completely different area. I currently use GPSViewer, it was included in the ROM I'm using, but there are few others like this floating around. Also, for the first time, it may take a few minutes, just be sure your outside on a fairly clear day, if you don't pick up the sats when your sitting in your basement on a cloudy day, don't be suprised!

After reading about this, I had to try it! By doing this, you will open your device to the aGPS servers. What that means is, you'll have a much faster and more precise GPS device than most stand alone devices available. After doing this, I was able to obtain my position, without using a GPS primer, inside my office building in under seven seconds! Before doing this, I had to stand outside for almost a minute, at least on good days. Still, weeks later, I'm able to get my GPS position when some people have don't even have phone service available!
If you are with VZW, and already have enabled your GPS, this is something I completely recommend doing!

XDA: Wondering how the site got its name?
Code:
"This site is about certain PDA-phones, made by a firm called HTC in Taiwan.
Their makers named them 'Wallaby', 'Himalaya', 'Blue Angel', 'Wizard' and 'TyTN',
but almost nobody knows them by those names.
The mobile provider O2 sells them under the brand-name 'XDA',
and that's what we had in our hands first.
They're also known as Qtek, MDA, SX-56, Hermes and many, many other names."
HTC: High-Tech Corp.
PDA: Personal Digital Assistant
PPC: PocketPC
PIM: Personal Information Manager
SIP: Secondary Input Panel
AS: ActiveSync, the software used on your PC to transfer data to your PDA. Used with XP.
WMDC: Windows Mobile Device Center, same as AS, but for Vista.
CAB: Cabinet file, this is typically file you'll use for installing applications.
GPS: Global Positioning System, I hope you know what this is.
OS: Operating System, such as Windows Vista or Windows Mobile 6.1.
RAM: Random Access Memory, the term RAM is usually used for PC's, for PPC's, it's usually referred to as Program Memory.
Stylus: Worthless! Try to never use this in public, you'll just embarrass yourself!
Soft Reset: The same as restarting your PC, it's good to reset every day to help with system performance. To soft reset, simply press the button located to the right of the USB port on the bottom of the device with your stylus.
Hard Rest: Much like a System Restore for your PC, this will ERASE ALL DATA on your device and return it to factory defaults. You can do this by pressing and holding both the Send (Green) and End (Red) buttons, and performing a soft reset. You will then be given a set of on-screen instructions to continue the deletion of files.

ROM

ROM: Read-Only Memory, the set of system files, your OS.
Cook: For ROMs, it means to create or build a ROM.
Kitchen: The set of files used to cook a ROM, such as the PPCKitchen.
Chef: Ye who cooks the ROMs, and master of the kitchen!
Flash: Updating your ROM.
RUU: ROM Update Utility, the application used to flash your new ROM. If you've ever done a carrier ROM update, you may be familiar with this tool.
Unlocking: Typicallywhen you purchase your device from your carrier, it's locked, to prevent any system changes. You must unlock your device to allow changes, such as flashing the new ROM.
SPL: Secondary Program Load, is the boot loader of your phone, much like the BIOS is the boot loader for your PC. You'll hear more on this when unlocking your device.
Bootloader: This does the job of booting up the device hardware and loading various items into memory before the ROM starts in the device. You'll access the bootloader when flashing a ROM. To enter bootloader, press and hold the Power and Camera button, and perform a soft reset.
ExtROM: Extended ROM, a dedicated part of the ROM memory that is (by default) hidden to the user. This area typically includes cab files that are loaded upon Hard Reset. This space is frequently used by carriers, or others creating ROMs, to store cabs that load settings onto the phone.

CDMA: Code Division Multiple Access, you only really need to know, if you have the CDMA version of the HTC Touch, you have the Vogue.
GSM: Global System for Mobile communications, if your HTC Touch is a GSM model, you have the Elf.
BT: Bluetooth
A2DP: Advanced Audio Distribution Profile
AVRCP: Audio/Video Remote Control Profile

I saw your thread on this yesterday, great find! But can anyone else prove this works as well? There is a bit more to this than simple reg changes, and I'd like to stay away from anything too complicated. If this is a proven fix, I'll post some additional instructions on it after I do it.

All works well on my HTC Touch Elfin with this patch to disable the Cube, but now when I swipe up while in SPB MS I go back to today screen, kinda the lesser of 2 evils. How can I make the up swipe do nothing?

If you did everything listed, you basically disable any actions. But, if I'm not mistaken, that is a default from Spb.
PHM Reg editor
Hey guys. Kind of a dumb question...perhaps. How does one exactly install PHM reg editor? I d/l it. I ran the executable. It installed itself in my Program files folder and that's it. Am I to transfer *.cab to my phone and rum them to install this app?
Like I said, probably a dumb question but I had to ask.

I don't have a clue what the three letter abbreviation is after "Regedit", check the first post for the correct .cab file, the one I have used in the past.

2. Total Commander v2.5 - Probably the best file explorer I have used, also includes a directory to your registry for editing.

3. Schap's Advanced Config Tool v2.1 - Great application for tweaking the system, as well as changing your comm manager, button mapping, file associations, and others. Currently open to contributors to add tweaks, there are a few floating around.

This is the link I used to d/l PHM. I clicked the " Download PHM Registry Editor : Pocket PC Edition" link, d/l to .msi and executed it. That's How I got what I got. Any help would be appreciated.

Whenever Chanvi releases a new Trinity Kitchen, I will try to post the P3600I ported version on here soon there after (or as soon as I can get it done), along with a few of the the more popular "EXT Builds" (package bundles) of that release precooked into ROMs.

CAVEATS:
If you have never installed a new ROM before, GO HERE FIRST (or else you brick your phone)
Kitchen requirements: XP/Vista 32bit with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2, also Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistribuable and 2008 from MS official site.
P3600i ONLY - These Kitchens & ROMs are NOT for the Trinity/DoPod/P3600 models (see original Trinity thread)
IMPORTANT! Builds after 21900 have the ADC driven network auto-config so you will need to disable any call to Configuration_Network.cab in your SDConfig.txt. Otherwise you get 2 different prompts to setup your network provider (which doesn't break anything it is just redundant )

RE-RELEASE (23060.5.3.0): 08-10-2009
Sorry for the false-start everyone but there were some major issues that I have resolved with 23060 so I felt it best to just re-package and replace.
Following changes to 23060:
Now using native GWES (have instead rebuilt theme files to mitigate "PushButton" bug)
Fixed phantom "MSAlarms" shortcut and many other Start Menu icon glitches from new initflashfile.dat
Changed MortScript registration to run once (only) during first boot AutoRun (no more pop up on every boot)
Disabled ASyncKiller and AutoDLGkiller as they were not saving as much memory as they were using (autoHibernate still included)
Modified the Visual Kitchen HTCRT scripting to properly support WWE or FRA nbh builds (and support for Splash1 & Splash2 screen nb files)
NOTE: With the new MortScript install, you will get that familiar popup on the first boot just AFTER Date/Time/Password config and BEFORE the SDAutoRun starts, so it will wait until you tap it to continue and start installing cabs from your SDConfig.txt (it will eventually time out and continue by itself but that will take like 1-2min - best to just tap it yourself)

I have ported the latest COM3 build (23060) into the kitchen, replaced the dialler with Diamond style canvas (to fix invisible "dialing number" bug) and used the latest initflashes.dat (new MSFT startmenu layout changes).

RELEASE (23041.5.3.0): 10-09-2009
This is my P3600i release of Chanvi's 23041 Trinity Kitchen. I have used my own VK1.8.1/HTCRT kitchen but the SYS is CHanvi's and EXT is pretty much still the same as previous releases. I have added some "Mods" under EXT\Shared\ that are kinda necessary in this new 6.5.1 UI, and I rebuilt the Applications panel in Titanium using the layout from CLauncher instead (Chanvi had been recycling the WelcomeCenter panel but this seems to have issues now). I also did some extra module->file conversion to free up a little more virtual memory in Slot 0 (if you don't know what that means, don't worry about it )
Be warned, we are now into the COM3/COM4 branches which means WM 6.5.x and all the chunky new UI and fonts that go with it.
NOTE: IF YOU TRY TO CHOOSE ANY OF THE THEMES OTHER THAN CLASSIC BLUE IT WILL BREAK THE NEW 6.5.x UI
(MSFT are changing the UI slightly every build right now and they are only bothering to make Classic Blue work properly. Search XDA and you can also find a few custom themes that have been rebuilt to suit 2304x builds.)

Adding your own cab files to the Kitchen
It is quite simple to create your own EXT Build with the Kitchen, and even include CABs of your own into that build.
First you need to convert your CAB into an OEM Package Folder to include it in the kitchen.
Download the Kitchen Converter bundle (by Da_G) and unzip it.
Copy your CAB file(s) (eg: "My_App.cab") into that Kitchen Converter folder (you can do multiple cabs)
Run CAB2NEWKITCHEN.bat and you will get a folder that is the unpacked version of each of your CAB files. eg: folder called "My_App" (which has an app.dat file with file/dir layout and app.reg with registry keys for the app).
Then you need to grab the latest Kitchen, make a new EXT build folder (rom recipe) and add your "My_App" folder to it.
Download the Latest (eg: 21900) Kitchen for P3600i and unzip it with 7zip
Go into the folder Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I\EXT\P3600i\
Make a copy of whichever build folder is the same name as the precooked rom you wanted to add your cab(s) to, and name it accordingly.
eg: copy "6IEMANTIT" and rename it "6IEMTMYAPP" (call it whatever you want but probably best keep it under 10 char)
Get the "My_App" package folder we made earlier and copy it into your new ext build folder (inside subfolder "P3600i_External_Packages").
eg: copy "My_App" into "Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I\EXT\P3600i\6IEMTMYAPP\P3600i_External_Packages\"
Now you just need to run the Kitchen and build your ROM. If you are using Vista/Win7 then there might be some issues here ... I think you can do it if you run the kitchen as Admin, but there are other threads that will explain that. Also, you might need to temporarily disable runtime antivirus shielding (my builds would randomly crash right at the end otherwise).
Go to the Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I folder and run erviuskitchen.exe
Choose DEVICE = P3600I
Choose Language = 0409 (or 040C for Francais)
Choose EXT Build = 6IEMTMYAPP (or whatever you have called your build)
Click "Create ROM" button on the top left of window
If the build succeeds you will end up with the ROM Update utility being started and prompting you to plug in your phone, etc (just like when you download a pre-cooked rom). You can proceed straight into flashing your new rom or hit cancel.
The cooked ROM (and update utlity) will all be in the RELEASE_P3600I folder of the kitchen. Copy that whole folder somewhere and rename it accordingly (eg: "WWE_21815_6IEMTMYAPP_P3600I" ). There is your own cooked rom.

21900 ROMs assume that you have a UC (SDConfig.txt on Storage Card) setup that will install and run Configuration_Network.cab (auto config provider settings) [NOT NEEDED AFTER 21900]. Including P3600i_BT_Fix.cab is also recommended.

Yes, you are correct ... there appear to be a few links (on "Applications" panel) to apps that are not installed: cleanRAM, HTC Album, HTC Audio Manager & YouTube (plus the link to PIM Backup has a bad path in it).
The Task Manager link in the root of the Start Menu has a bad path but the one in "Start Menu\Tools" is working correctly.
I will repost the mxip_WWE_CHome_Programs.provxml tomorrow (to fix the path for PIM Backup ... and maybe replace other broken links with apps that are installed).
As for the missing apps ... you could install them via cabs or (in the kitchen) add their oem package folders to the 6IEQMTIT build folder and recook the rom.
I think I will probably recook 6IEQMTIT myself (fixing all these things) and just update the link ... stay tuned

oh, ok ... don't normally use MMS so I hadn't tested. Will check it out.
EDIT: Sorry, MMS seems to be working just fine for me ... have you definitely got your provider settings in there?

Doesn't the Connection Setup auto-config run when you first boot after install?
(you can re-run it manually from Settings->Connections->Connection Setup )
Or does it not include your particular telco Operator? What country/operator are you on?

Yes, I am in the middle of converting it right now
However ... I am reading some disturbing feedback in there about SMS/email messages not opening and such ... delaying my release of the P3600I version until I see what Chanvi says about it.
I still have a little bit of work left to do with making all of my own tweaks for the QMTIT2 build that I will include. I had just got them all nicely polished with 21900 and now the CHome launcher structure has changed (now running apps from CLinks instead of CWelcomeCenter) so I have to repeat the process for the new CLinks reg keys and CPR files.
Without these changes, the modified version of TitaniumWeather 4.2 will not show up. Also the new apps panel is all in french right now so I would have to edit it anyway, lol
I might even post a pre-cooked test NBH just to get some feed back before I post up the Kitchen (it is kinda annoying that the current 21900 Kitchen I am hosting requires so many "fixes" to be applied ... depending on how 23001 turns out I am tempted to post a "SP1" release of the 21900 Kitchen just to tidy things up).
While I am still at this stage, does anyone have any specific requests for the Kitchen, ext builds and/or precooked roms?

Why and how to get rid the "face plate (flashed warning)" every time after reboot. The indication as follows "MortScript v4.3b5" discription as ".mscr and .mortrun extensions registered. Please run any .mscr/.mortrun file or read the manual.

Try delete Mortscript.lnk in Windows-StartUp , i think it need only one time to activate , but not sure , so move this .lnk to another place fir try .

I'm Australia - Telstra - NextG.
The connection auto-config did not appear to run, and there is no auto select Telstra option or similar.

Have you got Configuration_Network.cab set to run from the SDConfig.txt on your Storage Card?
It was always something that the cv93+oggi roms had in the "postinstall" folder (many versions ago) and I still run that on all my roms (just hadn't thought to mention it in this thread .. sorry ).
If you haven't got that cab then you need to run it. It will setup all the gprs/mms network config for your carrier.

Unfortunately I did not have that .cab set to go, but have installed it now and MMS is back running.
Other than that, this ROM is fast, low memory footprint, well set out and a pleasure to use.
I would love to see the tweaks from Schap's Advanced Config, under Power Management applied as part of upcoming ROMs that you may generate.
This is due to the ROM "appearing" to be a little battery hungry until you apply the power settings like AsyncMAC, IrSIR, PPTP and L2TP to enabled.
