Which Rom to go for ?

Hi all,
I'm thinking about changing the rom on my XDAIIs to try and find one thats a bit slicker than the 02 one..
Whats the best rom for the blue angel at the moment ? I heard the QTek one was good, but it doesn't go straight onto the 02 device ?
Or does anyone know when 02 are releasing their next rom upgrade.. would it be worth just waiting for that?

O2 have refused to give away anything specific, other than to say they are working on it. I would have thought the end of February\Beginning of March would be a decent educated guess. They have confirmed that a ROM will be released this year with MediaPlayer 10, but not if it will be in the next ROM which has been confirmed to include the bluetooth updates amongst others.
O2 took part in a question and answer session on www.techguru.co.uk in which they answered several ROM related questions.

O2 has stopped selling the XDAiis

I have been looking at PDA/Phones and decided on the XDAIIs. I had previously seen it on the O2 web site but when I checked yesterday it has all the adds and specs but when you go to buy online it says" Sorry, this handset is no longer available; You may wish to make a selection from our current range, displayed below" Does anyone know if it has been discontied or if there is a new model in the pipline.

Well, you can still get it from other people! iMate, (expansys.com), etc.

dont know bout being discontinued, but they are making a big deal over the xda exec... nicefone.

It's available from the Orange web site as Orange SPV M2000

Bluetooth is one! Terrible BT hardware. Half a meter away and the cracks make the headset unusable. 22003SE and BT patches / WM5 just equally crappy :evil:
Just waiting for the Atom/Athena :roll:
In the meantime, my 2020 with 2003SE / automated Sin Merge is the best combo I tried. Thinking about moving to WM5 but the issues I had on my BA with ActiveSync/Outlook/Exchange server are making me think twice...
BTW, any news on FCS for Athena?

It's about effing time!! The Blueangel was not ready for sale. Not everyone knows how to hack a ROM and most business users need it to work out of the box which it defo didn't.
I know the problem: 02 didn't release the 1.40 ROM.
AND as I mentioned in another thread I have just broken my handsfree socket by mistake. I could fix it but I don't wanna take it apart and ruin the warranty.
I also don't wanna pay to have it fixed as I don't have ANY money. The down key is getting dodgy as well. I think I will go for a new one on insurance. Do you think they will gimme an Exec no that the 2s has been discontinued?
I only got the 2s as an insurance job for the XDA2 about 5 months ago. Do you think that they will be funny about it in the shop or will they not bother?

Did Best Buy messed my pre order up??? Please help!!!!

I think best buy messed up my pre-order...
I went to best buy on the 14th of May (this is proven on my receipt)
but on the paper they stapled to it that has a pic of the phone along with my name address and phone number it says pre order date 6/4/2010 this is the day the phone comes out. I thought maybe just maybe the girl was supposed to put the date of my order on there instead of the release date so I called my cousin who also pre ordered at best buy and his says 5/18/2010 (the date he pre ordered his on)
Will this be a problem? Any suggestions?

dialaphone free HTC Media Link HD delayed!!

Just got an email from dialaphone to say that the free Media Link HD device won't ship with the phone and will instead be with us in 28 days max, after phone arrives!!

I'm guessing it will be after this date then!

Yeah, and I think it was phones4u that had it displayed as coming later (18th of April to be precise) - and that was when it was only just available for pre-order!

I ordered from Phones4u and it did say before I ordered that the medialink will arrive up to 28days after the phone.

Funny, I remember reading quite clearly on the DAP site that both would come together, else why would they send a follow up email to say this ain't the case no more? Guess P4U must have sent out a diff message form the start?

Phones4u told me on several occasions they would be shipped together, so I guess its bad advice all around.

Well i didnt get the htc one x, i couldnt wait cause 4 poo c's jumped me and stole my phone so i wasnt gonna let them get me down. upgraded my wildfire POS to the sensation xe (red) and also got a media server.
I was waiting for this product and found this thread searching for the release date as i was counting on azamoms you kay projected release date of today.
good luck to everyone on a speedy delivery! Im getting one myself hoping it will work on my sensation xe. maybe the 3 finger swipe to the tv wont work but at least i can utilize the built in router for a private network and the full hd capability.

[Q] hTC One X didn`t get the 4.2.2 OTA update.

Didn`t see this topic being discussed, so I hope I`m not being redundant.
I`ve got a colleague(a chick, extreeeeeemly hot! ) who has a One X(I have one as well, bought them at pretty much the same time, different stores), and she still didn`t get the official 4.2.2 OTA update. I got the update on my One X on August 19th 2013. Both phones are on the same carrier(Orange), bought from the same country(Romania). Her phone is not rooted, nor has it ever been.
Any ideas why she doesn`t get the update?
Would really appreciate your help, and/or pointers!

Well they most likely have different CID-s and therefore they get the update at different times...
Your CID is a WWE one since only WWE CIDs and SOME carrier CIDs got the update.
Other CIDs will soon follow, so just be patient.
You will get it.
