German ROM to English ROM

Hi everyone,
I have just bought an XDA Mini in German and it has a german langguage software (of course). Since its a new device for me, I dont really have much experience in XDA. I ever heard something like flash and ROM but not really am sure what it actually is.
My question is:
1. Is it possible to convert or to upgrade the software and change it into an english version?
2. If it is possible, what should I do to get this english version? Cause I dont really like using it in German.
3. What are the consequences if I change my software into an english version?
Thanx a lot...
XDA mini

hi
hello , go to the forums mentioned 'upgrading and installing software ....' .there they mentioned clearly how to do the rom updation to change the language...it is simple
have fun..
Loading the WWE (World wide english ROM)
To change your Qtek9100 to English follow the instructions here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=188641&highlight=#188641
1st unlock the CID on your phone (use the unlock tool posted on site above) Once you have unlocked the CID you will then be able to flash the rom (link to english rom also on above website)
remember, unlocks and rom flashing should be done via USB and not btooth or infrared.

German Qtek 9000 ROM available?

Hello!
The Qtek 9000 is sold in Germany with a ROM dated middle October 2005.
Is this ROM also available for download somewhere?
Unfortunately I couldn't find it yet...
I would like to try it on my MDA Pro!
Deal!
Hey,
I'm looging to change my Qtek german ROM to an English one.
I'm pretty sure we can find a deal in exchanging our ROMs!
But you need to tell me how to extract and how to reflash afterwards.
If interrested contact me.
The english ROM is here on xda-devs-FTP
But: please before flashing your OS upload the german ROM there!
This would be my very best xmas present
Cheers
Ok for your christmas present!
Hello Cendaryn,
I just need coaching or tutorial for extracting and then flashing the ROMs.
If someone tells me how to extract I will post for sure.
And I need also help to flash the english ROM.
Thank you
Well this is my biggest problem - I know how to flash the ROMs but not how to dump them. But I guess a little search in the forum here will help
Cheers
uni_cdl-me_11238_132_10301_ship.exe ) Is this the Qtek ROm? if its not please show me the direction.
Sorry
Sorry with no tutorial I can't help.
I'm really willing to post the german ROM. But haven't a clue where to start.
Does anybody know?
Thank you.
Dumping the ROM seems to be not easy
this is what I found: [Universal] How to d2s (dump) the ROM
I can't help you because I dont have a Universal (Qtek 9000) but I'm very interested in files of this ROM too!!!
Dumping the ROM seems to be not easy
Well, you say it.
If I look the post you mention I still have no idea where to start ???
I keep on seeking for complete tutorial.
By the way, does anybody know if changing the ROM is also changing the WM language? Or do I have to change separately?
Thank you.
A ROM also includes the WM language.
Maybe this topic helps:

Near to target ... but ...
Hi,
Thank you for the links, I feel I'm very close to dump the german ROM.
But not done so far.
And I'm becoming impatient because I found the ROM I want to put in place.
Keep on helping me end pray for I resist not to flash the original german ROM.
Arrgh!
I'm going mad to find how to backup original ROM.
Don't know if I will resist any longer to flash without backup.
Would You please try to run grab_it on your Universal?
This would give us a RAW-ROM-Image.
and i need a file dump (TestWM5) of a German ROM.
but you will need a Storage Card to do this.
German ROM needed ?
Hi all,
just reading through this thread here. I have an original VDA-IV with an unchanged ROM. I am trying to convince myself to upgrade to JasJar or O2, but did not do so yet. Any wish for a dump from me ?
(Have to leave now, but am able to do so tomorrow)
Ruud

Idea
Maybe, we can have it a little easier, because I think, ROM dumping is very difficult and could also be hard to flash on other devices. For MDA compact (HTC Magician) for example, you had to edit the dumped ROM with a binary editor before it worked on other devices. Also, there often were problems with some SD card readers/writers, etc.
The best way would be getting a ROM update from the vendor (e.g Qtek) as a complete EXE-File. This could be flashed on other devices with the maupgrade_noid-Tool from xda developers FTP server.
So, it would be nice of you Qtek users, if you could write an e-mail to Qtek.ch!
They offer updates for Qtek users, but you need to mail your IMEI number. So MDA Pro users are not able to get Qtek updates this way.
I'll do this.. No problem..
Any other requests??

choosa a ROM with WWE - world wide english
for the rest, try the Wiki
Ok, not sure what to do with that answer but thanks for posting.
Another question then. I have a french diamond, My friend has a dutch one. If I would download the official HTC Rom upgrade from the HTC site and use the Serial of my friends Dutch Diamond, would I be able to download the dutch version and install it on my french version?
you obviously have alot of reading to do ..
You can flash your diamond to any language, if you want english get WWE
No need to download the official rom from HTC.. but then again.. perhaps safer for you if you did

Just a question

Sorry guys I'm really noob
I have just purchased a used Diamond. I love the device, but I would love even better with WinMo 6.5 and new Touchflo. The OS is now Hungarian, but I don't mind if it's English. Anybody can direct me which thread to read, or moreover what to do?
Many thanks!
