Win Mobile For Nokia N82? - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Is possible to install Win Mobile Smartphone on Nokia N82?

no
nokia never had or could get any type of wm installed on them
as far as i know
windows mobile have to be custom made to run on a device
and nokia never wanted to work with ms they pref their symbian
come to think of it i never in my life heard about a device which dident
came with a version of wm which had wm ported to it

.............

sure it is - just grab the necessary cd´s from your neighbour and put them in the micro SD card slot. sometimes they wont fit in the slot - so just break the cd into pieces and put it in one by one.
hope that helps

OK...
But I installed Win Mobile on Sony Ericsson P990i, But doesn't work good.
Looks like no chance for Nokia Hell Phones.

Thats great, I have only GPS in my N95 and u have Celatial Placing giving u the tide position with the moon.
Me want multiboot for my N95 with an option in the start to go Symbian or Ubuntu or WM 7

What the heck are you talking about? MS hasn't even released beta builds of WM7 yet, just screenshots.

Don't be a dunce! What they are telling you, in most creative ways, is that IT CAN'T BE DONE! The hardware is different & requires different comm from the os.
So just forget it man. You'd need low level CE (embeded) before you could even dream of Flashing a WM OS to the device & that's not gonna happen.

This phone, I just love the specs!
Might be a good replacement for my galaxy s+ which is slowly dying...
I guess it is hard to go wrong with this one?
Question now is - will it be supported by developers?

Dual sim Dual standby, but Dual Band
we find Dual sim support 3g network on mtk6589 chip, but not dual 3g stanby, wcdma+gms, or gsm+wcdma, and sim1 come with mini card as iphone 4, zopomobileshop.com will send with free cutter sticker, and we have pay special attention to the internet frenquency 2G: GSM 900/1800MHz
3G: WCDMA 850/2100 MHz, seems that it will not work well in america and south amerian countries sim operator, before you would like to buy one, you have better have a check with your sim card provider, here are some info i found on wiki, hope it help: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_country_code, or

thanks so much Ghost!
yes WCDMA 850/2100 is the frequency I need here in New Zealand! I hope its supported.
Also I think there may be a difference between the Chinese version and the international version of this phone so maybe the OP had the Chinese version!
And I am sure Zopo are releasing the premium version of this phone soon which has 2gb ram and a larger battery (2500mAh I think) But there is a problem on all phones with using 2gb ram and the MTK chip so I think once that issue is resolved, there is going to be a flood of phones all released at the same time: Jiayu S1/G4, neo n003, Nubia Z5, Newman N3, iconean X7, Umi X2...

The chipset didn't support 2Gb RAM so they have had to create a hardware fix:
sorry i cannot post links yet but here is the statement:
"The X2 suffered from a rather important set-back, basically the phone was announced to ship with a quad-core MT6589 CPU and 2GB RAM, despite the chip not offering support for that amount of RAM! UMi aren’t the only ones though Jiayu, iOcean and others have all promised the same and are all working on fixes."
"This weekend we reported that the UMi X2 would be delayed due to an optimisation problem with running 2GB RAM with the quad-core MT6589 processor. After posting the article we were inundated with emails, comments and Facebook messages asking us if the reports are true. Today we managed to get on the phone with our contact at UMi (a manager at the company) to confirm the delay.
Our contact at UMi confirms that the UMi X2 has been delayed, but that they are working to optimise the phone and hope to launch the X2 by April.
I have also asked our contact to confirm a few details regarding international availability, and he promises to get back to me as soon as possible."
"The X2 looks to have been just one step away from heading in to full production, the pesky issue with compatibility between the quad-core Mediatek MT6589 processor and 2GB RAM. The first hint we had that the problem had been fixed was when the No.1 P7 mini Pad got an official launch date, and now it seems UMi have got a fix too."

I LOVE those "subjective" questions
Stability? You mean as in build quality? In my opinion very good.
Battery? Good question! I bet you could drain the battery in a couple hours but it might also last several days, it depends on a million things
Speed? O.k., I guess?!? The stock launcher is a little laggy some times, that's why I always use different launchers. Of course this high screen resolution takes aways a little speed compared to other phones with the same amount of RAM and the MT6589 cpu.
Feel? I really like the feel
Three things that makes this phone better than any other Chinese phone I had so far are:
1) The display! I've never seen anything like that before. Zopo claims it is a LTPS (low temperature poly silicon) TFT display. To be honest, I didn't even know something like that existed Whatever that is, it looks great! Fantastic viewing angles and very nice contrast / colors. It's too bad something like that can't be captured in a video.
2) The sound quality when using GOOD(!!!!!) headsets. Again, I have NO IDEA what's different in this phone but the sound is amazing!
3) The GPS: Super fast fix and I got an accuracy up to 1.7 meters!
i like to know if its better this 1080 phone or a 720 on a 5 inch phone

Good question?!? The Zp980 isn't exaclty cheap, you can probably get a phone with similar specs but with a lower screen resolution much cheaper. I guess it depends on what's important to you, that's a decission everyone needs to make for themselves.
Edit: One more things: I love the fact that this baby supports OTA firmware updates. That is something you don't see too often on Chinese phones and defintely NEVER on those "Shanzhai" no-name phones

How is the dual SIM functionality? When sending an SMS or making a call how do you select which SIM? on android 2.3 you have to drag the top bar down to select, is it same is 4.1? When reciving a call or text does it indicate which SIM is has been recieved via?

You can either set standards or you can always be asked which sim card should be used. The two sim cards are always labled when you miss a call or if a sms was received. Let me attach some pictures, hope that helps

That is something you don't see too often on Chinese phones and defintely NEVER on those "Shanzhai" no-name phones

battery i dont want the "if" answer i want your usage battery status meaning i had 1 hour calls listen to music 2hours browse the web 1 hour mails and sms and had 20% left ?
1)laggy stock laucher
2)speed taken from drawing 1080
is the screen bright in a sunshine day i live in Greece and we got lots of sunshine!!!

Wakelock / Deep Sleep Bug HT3 PRO
Hi there
Just received my Homtom HT3 PRO and found out that this device has the same battery wakelock bug as the HT7 PRO.
Once the LED goes on, the deivce would never go into deep sleep mode.
I could disable the LED notifivation with the "Notification Light Widget" from Chris Tattersall on Playstore.
Checking the state time with CPU Spy v0.4.0, shows that the deep sleep time is now much higher and the battery life is now acceptable therefore.
However once the device is connected to the charger, the LED goes on again - the deep sleep mode would not be activated until the device will be rebooted.
Official HomTom Support answer is that they working on a update (25 July 2016).
Did someone have a better solution or found a way to solve it by custom ROM?
I apologize to the moderators for the external link.
http://www.needrom.com/category/doogee/homtom/t3-pro/
There is only one solution that worked for me....root it and delete all unnecesary bloatware that comes with factory ROM,install Xposed framework then some nice and helpfull modules as XGEL,GravityBox,Amplify etc....i warmly recommend to follow that link Cleopatra provided since here is no support for our phone in any form.

Yes..with hybrid slot usage, we are good to expand the memory as well. And 3gb is very good for multitasking..even if i open all the alllowed apps at thr same time, i still have 1+ gb free memory...on boot it gives 1.9-2 gb free and with some consumption, it goes upto 1.2-1.3 gb free memory.
Today arrived mine and there is NFC

Seems hybrid but lets wait for the Indian version.
And does it have infrared? The EU version I mean. Thnks.
Here is a nfc screenshot
And a giro test screenshot
And a phone info screen
And no infrared.............. :victory:
But camera 2 api (manual camera) compatible
And these are all the sensors
Thanks a lot !!!
I will be disappointed if the North america version doesn't have gyro or nfc but EU does.... Otherwise I'm liking this phone
For me NFC isn't essential at all but i must admite that this phone has awesome specs for is price. Huawei is doing this the right way
