Come on Guys....
Why are we not seeing these titles being added to the sticky topic ~ Programs/Utilites & Games ~ working on the Touch HD.
It annoys me when we have a topic purely dedicated to adding the titles you have installed on your Blackstone and I come across this.
Pass this info into the Blackstone's wiki topic...... I'll do all the work in getting it up on the wiki for you.

I personally found this thread far more useful than the Programs/Utilites & Games ~ working on the Touch HD Which is a list of all programs found to be working, not just the ones you actually use. So.. Here is a list of all the stuff I've installed so far:

AM I missing something here?
If a software title works and the poster has proven this by installing and using the title, one would then assume said poster actually uses said title.
This logic not only applies here but in the Wiki Title list as well.
I'm seeing a lot of titles in this topic which are not being filtered to the wiki.

It is interesting to see what selection (the operative word being _selection_) of software people have chosen to install on their devices. I've installed and uninstalled software not because it didn't work but because there are multiple programs which perform similar tasks and after trial and error I found the best one for me. For example, multiple Device locking programs.
In my opinion just because said poster has tried some software (and it works) does not mean they are using the software.
I just want to see what software people have chosen to install and use on their HD out of the big list of stuff which works. Which was the point of this thread, was it not?

Many thanks for taking the time and effort to explain your actions. I appreciate any follow-up and info such as this is always appreciated.
My thanks also to you in adding said software titles.
It is however better when the titles come from the wiki's parent topic as that topic is often the first stage back from the wiki to the forum whereby members check.
Having material added which comes from outside the wiki's parent topic can sometimes confuse members who search back trying to find any additional information that was placed in the forum.
.... but again my thanks to you in adding said material.

I'm a big fan of the wiki and especially of this topic and have added a number of titles allready, but I wonder whether it might be an idea to add (an instruction for adding) a short description to each title instead of just saying whether or not it works (as is often the case now)?

So I found a prog. called Fring... which looks really great on the Touch HD an works perfect. It also has the advantage that it regroupes a lot of Chat Clients as MSN/ICQ/Google Talk/Twitter/Yahoo etc... it also enables Skype and other services(Facebook/gmail Notifier....). It is easy and fast to use. For example starting MSN with Fring works 10X faster then with the preinstalled MSN Client. xD

See, here's another advantage of this thread...thanks to the short lists people display, one comes across interesting combinations, and evensingle programs which would just get lost in the humonguos master list: I was looking for something like Change Fonts v.01 !

[PRJ] Request a ROM!

Similar to what kareem9nba did for the Raphael, Hermes and Kaiser (and I did for prophet users) I'm opening up a service to let you request ROMs with the apps/tweaks you want, without the crap you don't want!
The ROMs will (for now) be based on the 2.03 shipped ROM, but I may start using a newer XIP/SYS when I get a decent, stable one - yes, that means no WM6.5 custom ROMs yet, sorry but I don't have the time to port everything yet!
What I can do:
Programs/Games:
Thousands of these. - I'll add paid apps, but you have to supply the registration details, or add them during the first run.
Version:
You want a clean ROM? say so, and I'll strip the rubbish. Want the sample images left in? again, say so and I'll leave them.
Other:
Whatever else you'd like. Can be tweaks, changes to the OS or whatever. I can also include your chosen radio OS, or splashscreen if wanted.
Preferred Upload Host:
I'll upload it wherever you want, and drop you a PM when it's done.
I'll probably have the apps you want already. If not, I may need a cab file to add what you want.
I'm going to do this for free, but donations are welcome (there's a link in my signature)

Lol, you didn't steal it. The more we could expand on it, the better I just recently got a Universal so i'm thinking of opening it there (cooking is quite different there so still have to get used to it :S).

That shouldn't be too difficult, bar the fact the the sprint Diamond is CDMA, so I won't be able to test it directly to make sure it all works. I can probably test all the parts on my GSM Diamond, but I may need to get you to test things once or twice.

Again, that shouldn't be to hard. One thing though, what kind of battery icon? One that replaces the little 4 bar one in the title bar, or one that provides the bar across the top of the screen?

Cdma Diamond Rom
Can I get a rom based on the latest leaked sprint rom wwe 2.00.651.1 and give the latest but best radio with the whole diamond2 tf3d tricked and tweaked out on low memory can I get that?
As stable and fast as you can get it

not so much a rom, but mainly just a cab to install the '3' tab into the tf3d from the pro (or whatever one they are using) if it's possible?

What about another of your own great roms but put all cabs for apps you usually include into a folder so that we may install what we like. Do the same for tf3d, tweaks etc. I mean in a folder within the ROM itself.

Manilla.exe restarts *only* when I access the calender tab?

I got a Dutch stock Rhodium, done a fair bit of tweaking and installing themes etc but since today I noticed whenever I access the calender tab Manilla restarts... Rest of the tabs are fine and when I run the calender from the programs launcher runs fine.
I have fiddled quite a bit last night with some theme cabs and games so I can't tell what exactly caused this... of course I can hard reset but it would take so long to get everything the way I have it now...
I don't use my calender that intensive so not really a big issue for me but it just bugs me why this only happens on the calender tab... anyone got an idea what caused it and how to fix besides a hard reset?

I'm not sure if i can help. but i can try, but i think almost anyone who is willing to help you needs to know what you installed because something you installed is probably creating a conflict or something like that.

it happened to me when i messed up with the weather database..but manila restarted also in weather tab and when clickng on the clock icon in the main page...

At my side it only happens at the calender tab... I checked everyting else is working as should.
Trying to find a way to extract the list of installed apps... there must be one as it is displayed at the remove programs interface??

I'm a bit worried to try: many sites / readers comments / forums etc reported bad performances (benchmarks done with sktools) and other many users reported that they simply can't see the sd card after soft reset (uninstalling this cab made everything back to normal).
waht about tp2?

Running 54% idle
If you look closely you'll see a lot of cabs are registry tweaks and theme files which don't run in the background.
The only program I have running as an exclusive task is Emoze. All other apps just run when required.

I guess we have to keep to a certain percentage so that it will not cause the device to be laggy, right?
I was quite worried that it might slow down my device after installing too much of the applications.

Not for me... It reduce the performace of my SD. Make my videos almost unplayable, after uninstall everything plays smooth again (Using Coreplayer)

No way! Mine is running at 58% just from start. After awhile, it runs up to 78%.
This is a RAM killer. My HD runs 36% at idle.

Unoffical wm 6.5 on i780 is also illiegal.
From other side SPB mobile shell is too big to place it in together with manilla 2D! If I say I want Igo 8.3 in?

I would like S2U2 to be included as well in the list!

There's no point in including software that updates on a regular basis (eg. S2U2) and/or is too big or dependable on preferences (eg. Spb or Manila). Those should be left out as extras.
ROM needs lots of small applications that are harder to find but very useful and device-specific (eg. Notif Blinker or chgFingerMouse). Later on, one can install GUI according to his/her personal preferences (Spb Mobile Shell, Winterface, Panoramic Launchpad or whatever).
