I found a couple of nice, cheap car accessories for my P3300 - P3300, MDA Compact III Accessories

I use this rubber skin to keep my phones finish looking new. Also, I found this vent mount at an auto parts store for $8.99 USD. Works very well! And You can also see the control module for my Parrot CK3000 behind the steering wheel.

Here's another shot of just the mount.
I hated vent mounts until I saw this one. Usually they look big and clunky, taking up a lot of space. But this one is very low profile. And when i'm not using GPS, I can easily remove it and fold the clamp flat to put it away. It's called Type S. Got it at Pep Boys if anyone is interested.
Also, the Parrot CK3000 is just awesome! It works so well I bought a newer version for my wifes car to use with her wizard. I highly recommend this kit if you like a clean look in your car. The new ones are all black and are less than $100 USD on Amazon.
And lastly, I've been using this rubber skin I got from EBay for about $10 USD for about 7 months. It's very nice. The only problem is that the scroll wheel is a little more difficult to use but the scroll ball does the same function. It's a little thick but it still fits snug into the OEM HTC holder that comes with the phone. It has really protected my phone well. I've dropped it a couple of times but I don't even have one scratch on my phone after about 8 months of ownership. I highly reccommend it if you don't mind the extra thickness. For me it wasn't a big deal because I have big hands and it actually makes the device easier to handle now. It was too small without the skin for me. Just wanted to share this for the archives.

please, shop in ebay?

Is your HTC P3300 battery running out of life quickly or will it not start-up at all? The battery life of your HTC P3300 Mobile is limited like any other device containing rechargeable batteries. The battery capacity of the HTC P3300 Pocket PC drops every time you use it.

xda2 in car holder

I just got myself a TomTom GPS receiver/navigator, and so far I'm loving it. The package came with everything but an in-car cradle/holder. I've been looking online to buy one, but I can't seem to find an elegant, inexpensive holder for my xda2. So far I've found most of the holders as part of a complete car kit and not as stand-alone, and they're mostly located in the UK. The closest match is the one available at blueplugged.com:
http://www.blueunplugged.com/ProductDisplay.aspx?productKey=104585
but is ~$40 (including shipping)! and is too expensive, IMO.
Can anyone suggest anything I could use for my xda, preferably from a vendor in the US, so I don't to have pay an arm and a leg for shipping?
Thanks,

I found that one of those magnetic holders which mounts on the windshield very good and also unobtrusive, I got some from ebay and they worked perfectly as long as you cleaned the inside of the windscreen thoroughly. The pda end has a magnetic plate and you stick another small magnetic plate to the rear of the pda, I found it very good for filming while driving too using the xda 2.

Considering how much the XDA is worth I would strongly recommend one of two options, Brodit or Carcomm.
Both have powered XDAII cradles, Carcomm's even has an RS232 and PS/2 serial output fly lead from the cradle to allow connection to an external GPS or to power a BT GPS.
I have the Carcomm cradled coupled to a boot mounted GPS Receiver via RS232. My XDA is constantly charged and it looks like an OEM piece of equipment. Carcomm can be bought in the UK from TotalPDA and Brodit from Handnav.
In the US, Brodit's website is ProClipUSA and you can buy on-line.
If screwing holes in the dash is a concern it need not be as both companies use Clip Systems, you buy a car specific clip that attaches to the dash without needing to drill holes or use screw and then attach the cradle to that. We have reviewed Brodit and Carcom products here.
Here is my Carcomm cradle install

You could use the same mount that i have been using for the last 11 months on my XDA2 in the car,
It costs less than a pound, is very discreet and small, and is one of the best solutions for holding the XDA2 that i have ever tried, i bet your now wondering what this wonderful product is after reading all that !!, its simply a piece of velcro stuck to your dash, and a piece stuck to you phone, holds perfectly, easy to clip/unclip and reposition and cheap !!
Thanks for the suggestions, guys! They're all very helpful. I kind of thought about using the Valcro, too, but I wasn't sure if it'd be able to hold xda's weight (Not that its too heavy to begin with). I'll give it a shot and will let you guys know how I made out, for what its worth.
If that doesn't work out, I like the idea of using custom car holder for my car from ProClipUSA. Though, I'm still not convinced that its worth shelling ~$50 for an in-car mount.
Thanks, anyway.

Good Vehicle Mount?

I ordered a vehicle mount from Amazon and had to return it. The "arms" that held the phone in place covered the volume rocker. Only way to make it work was to sit it in the there not centered and that just looked bad. Paid $25 for it so I didn't want to have to do that just to make it work.
Has anyone gotten a vehicle mount that works properly? Preferably from Amazon?
Here is what I ordered before.
I personally just make my own. Buy a reasonably cheap hard case from eBay, and combine it with a Garmin sat nav mount also from eBay. Some heavy duty Velcro and it works great. Did the same with my desire. Means I can interchange for when I am driving or my partner now she has the desire. Also cost about £6 in materials and postage.

Based on what I heard other people say in this forum I went with this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Z8ZLOS/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
Also checked some reviews on youtube.. just got it yesterday so I can let you know how it goes by end of next week...
I normally go with Arkon. I had one mount for 4 years, it charged it too. However it finally went out. And yes, you can get it from amazon prime : )
I ordered an electronic cheapo from hk for $10. It has adjustable everything. It even handled my atrix very well considering the spot of usb and hdmi on that. And it has to two flip out arms on bottom. I just use the one on the left so I can plug my 3.5mm jack in.
My grandma beat me down and took my nexus. Sent from a jitterbug with beats by dre.
Thanks for the responses. I just ordered the Arkon one. That one looks like it should work really well!

Here's the mount I ordered until Proclip starts shipping their mount:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XAF4YQ/ref=oh_o04_s00_i00_details
I posted a pic up there with my gnex in it. The mount is flimsy compared to the proclip I used with my dinc for 2 years but I didn't expect much for $15.
The Gnex fits in it just fine and no buttons or ports are covered. Didn't want to drop $50 on the crappy VZW mount only to pitch it when my proclip comes. My Xterra doesn't have a lot of places to set it and I was tried of it sliding off my leg and smacking into the door on turns
After using it for a few days I will say I wish it stayed attached to my AC vent a little better but generally it does what it says and stays put.
http://www.arkon.com/mobile-grip/mobile-grip-dashboard-mount-mg178.html
Very similar to the exo mount posted here too.
I really want the Samsung GSM one though...

HTC Active car holder >> Unified ??

This is my story. I had HTC Desire and I'm driving a car a lot, so I spent 50 euro to active car holder (CU-S420). But after I changed phone to Sensation and guess what, another 50 euro for new holder (the old one not fit), is pretty annoying isn't??
But it don't have to be like this.
HTC making THE SAME car holder for several phones, only thing is diferent is a plastic plate which holding phone in place. This plate can be very easy removed (it have to be pressed gently downwards) and exchanged with plate fitting other phone. Cost of piece of plastic is nothing compare to whole car upgrade pack.
But there is one problem, I cannot find where I can buy just a plate, HTC not selling them alone. Maybe somebody knows any company where I can buy it?
Or maybe someone have a plastic injection machine in the basement and can make that kind of plates...
So far I've found, list of HTC Car holders which are the same, just using diferent plates:
CU-S400 Desire HD and HD2
CU-S420 Desire
CU-S460 Incredible S
CU-S470 Desire S
CU-S490 Sensation (XE)
CU-S520 Evo 3D
CU-S570 Velocity4G
CU-S600 Titan
There is some photos of my holder for Sensation, I can put in OneX and it's fit if I could have the right plate

I know here in the states I hade to buy a a whole new home dock for my 3D after buying one for my 4G. This is one of 2 places where iPhone and iPad beats Android hands down. They have the best peripherals because they have a consistent interface for them. In Android you cannot even get the same manufacturer to keep a consistent design among phones from the same company even. Motorola kind of did it with same generation phones and their lapdocks. But the second gen dock did not support the original Atrix.
You are right in your case that this is simply solved. Why not include the 3 or 4 plastic inserts on this car dock so that you can at least use it with whatever design you need.
I would try to reach out to HTC if it is first party, which it sounds like it is,and see if they can point you where to find the additional inserts. You never know they may just send them to you.

Sturdy car mount for Galaxy S2, with Case mate tough and doesnt cover the camera

Hi Guys
I am really struggling to find what I am looking for and am hoping someone might be able to help me.
I have a Galaxy S2 that has an 2000mah extended battery installed and a Case Mate Tough case.
I am looking for a sturdy car mount that will allow me to leave the case on but also does not cover the camera lens.
Any suggestions?
(PS.. the reason I dont want to take the case off each time is that to get the extended battery to fit under the tough case you have to leave the phone back off or it doesnt fit.
No one had any suggestions at all?

Having used quite a few car mounts I found the Tetrax Xway by far the best. Takes absolutely no effort to put your phone onto the mount and you can also use it for any next phone / tablet that you buy. It's also extremely sturdy, yet easy to take out the phone.
Wanted to link to the product, but since I am a new user I cant.. Lots of stuff you can find on youtube though. Try the galaxy tab one if you really want to be convinced of its sturdyness
Only downside is that you have to stick something to the back of your phone(case). Hasn't really bothered me though, but some people are a little OCD on aesthetics.
Edit:
One thing I forgot to mention is that this mount is also very easy to remove and should fit in almost any car since it uses the car vents. Very easy to install + remove.
exomount here. had mine ages, no lack of grip, survives a car with 20year old suspenion (classic mini) driving over terrible pot holed roads (Wales...).
We even fitted it to my brother's Rallycross car for some in car footage.
There's a Garmin rubber Base that you could place upon the Car Tableau the good thing about it that the device won't shake and move a lot while driving

haven't used it, but looks interesting

Need help finding a belt pouch

I already got the HTC 10 coming and need a good belt pouch. Sorta like this: http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ZlAAAOSw~bFWQ4JH/s-l500.jpg Nothing fancy. Only problem is, the sides block the headphone jack, which for the HTC 10, is in the middle... That causes problems, as I'd like to listen to music while I carry the phone.
I've already tried searching on google, looked through amazon and ebay, and can't find something like this. I would like a pouch, not one of those bulky cases that attach the phone to the belt. Also, horizontal pouch is highly preferable.
If anyone knows where I can find one like that, please help a nendo out. Thank you!

I've got this one from last years HTC M9 & my HTC 10 is a perfect fit for it:

I'd imagine any other holster/item from this seller for the HTC One M9 would work just as well with the HTC 10.
EDIT:
Just an added BTW:
If you select one of this sellers items, you'll wanna check to see if the holster will accommodate a case, that is,if you're gonna use a case.
Most items are custom made for use w/o a case, you may be able to get by using a backless bumper,or the absolute slimmest of cases.
The close fit is to ensure security within the holster,I imagine,so,best to take overall dimension measurements (LxWxH & thickness) when inquiring.
Use a right angle headphone adapter, preferably one with short cable to separate Jack. I think there is room in that case, end to end for the angled plug.
