i think i might need the patch. it keeps going back an hour, i been waking up an hour late for work for weeks now. on my old Cingular 8125 i had the same issue and i was able to resolve it with a patch. does anyone have one for my Sprint Htc Diamond Touch (unlocked with Metro PCS)

I had same problem.Go phone/menu/options/time zones, and tick automatic change etc box
(time zones is off screen on right)

Hello All,
I really hope this post doesnt make an entry in the famous "Hall of shame" but after updating to win 6.1 I noted that my phone is loosing time. Every half hour the phone is behind by 10-11 minutes (avg).
I am using Excalibur with kavana 6.1
Any ideas....??

Yes go to the settings and then go to clock and alarm, then go to date and time... and finally scroll to the bottom and enable automatic time/time zone. This should solve your problem.

That Doesnt Work.. it loses time, Then The phone is restarted or turned off.
Did anyone else's phone mess up this morning? I woke up at about 2:30 am (I have a newborn baby) and my Pro2 had corectly updated the clock by one hour, there was also a message on screen telling me.
Then at 6:30 when I work it had shifted the clock a second time so my phone said 5:30!!!
At least yours shifted back on it's own, my Diamond and my Kaiser didn't lol.
My TP2 is off for repair so I couldn't check that.
I didn't check at 2:30 (sorry I slept) but when I woke up at 8 (sorry again) the clock on my Rhodium (WM 6.1) was one hour behind and it still is. I went looking for settings regarding daylight savings time but I couldn't find any.

Mine updated the time correctly only after a soft-reset, but it didn't display any notification regarding the update.

My TP2 updated correctly with the on screen DST message. I have 4 other WIn MO devices and all updated. Have you checked your Setting/Personal/phone/time/ ? the "Automatic change time zone and clock" box is checked for all my devices. Hope that helps.

There are plenty of apps that perform this and much more, I use G-Profile, this can be configured to turn the phone (GSM part) off (ie put in Flight Mode) at specific times of the day on specific days.
I have mine to put the phone in flight mode at around midnight each night, and then turn it back on again in the morning, I have two sets of these, one for during the week and one for weekends (like to get up later on the weekends )
This app is completely free but if you like it you can donate to the author, there are other apps like this some of them free some not.
Have a search through these forums and you will find quite a few.

I use phonealarm, mostly becuase it as an option to run hidden behind TouchFLO. It will also change setting son Location/appointments/time I think a few other triggers. You have to pay for it, but I find it really useful. www.pocketmax.net

is ambient display working for anybody when not set as 'always' on and only to pop up when picking up the device?
The display lightens up when I get a notification. It very rarely lightens up when picking up the device (with pending notifications) and it nearly never lighten shows the clock when picking the device up with no notifications (this should be the case, too right?)
I recall this behaviour being more consistent in the beginning when i got this phone some days ago. Now its like ambient display isn't really working
Anyone can relate?

CANNNOT relate.
My IS working when I pick it up & ambient is set to off.
Might have to factory restore it & see if it will work under these conditions.
Try it first under safe mode.

Not sure why you are taking what I wrote the wrong way.
Yes my typing was off but not my grammar (spelled 'Cannot' incorrectly & used MY when I meant mine)

I had a same issue in my realme 6 pro after Romany research and contact to realme customer care finally I fix it my myself.
Steps
1) Backup your contact and media
2) wipe your device reset
3) after resetting when you login with your previous email do not restore system settings say no restore system settings and that's it's.
Basically it's bug it's solve by not restoring system settings sync with your Google acc.

Same thing happens when your screen brightness is low and you unlock via fingerprint, the brightness increases for a sec, this is how the optical sensor of the fingerprint reader works. I guess it needs a bright and cool light incoming from the screen to properly capture one's fingerprint to unlock the device. Can't do anything here, works this way only.

Let me rephrase
My phones night mode automatically turns on at 7pm and get off in the morning
I.e. display turns into warm colour in evening and switches off automatically in morning
Even though night shield option is off

If night shield is turned off and still it gets on means that it is set to automation. Turn off the scheduled time option in night shield.

I went to service center, they took the log for this issue as' he was from software team' he quoted.
And they fixed that issue but when i later on updated the software it happened again..
I don't have enough time to go back to service center.....
So for now jist change the time to morning pr afternoon ot will disappear for that time...
And of you go to service center please ask them to update your phone...

Ok
When the night mode is on fully reset your phone if it didn’t work then again format your phone and try to set as a new phone without any backup from google
Note:it works when the night mode is on i did it after the sunset when my night mode was on
