Excalibur rSAP pairing - HTC Excalibur

Hi - I am a newbie here so be gentle with me
I have recently downloaded the rSAP enabling software from this forum to enable my Excalibur (HTC E600) to communicate with my in car BlueTooth system.
I have successfully established a pairing between the device and the car but it goes no further and I cannot enable phone functionality. I don't know if the issue is in the Excalibur or in the in-car system. Car is a VW Phaeton and their notoriously complex Bluetooth setup.
Has anyone seen this type of issue and, if so, any potential fixes. I feel so close to fixing this but just can't get that last bit done. Very frustrating.
Hope you can help
Thanks

I cant say . i dont have any issues with my bluetooth in my car. But or course, i have a 2008 ford focus with the MS SYNC system in it, which is hella cool and easy.

I am having problem pairing with different phones. If it does pair I will get an error or they will when files are being sent to me. Is anyone else having the same issue with Kavana´s WM6.1?

XDAIIi Bluetooth problems

Can anyone help ?
I have just bought one of the XDA2i's and I am having problems with the Bluetooth Version 1.0.0.3900, For some reason the XDA will "pair" with the devices I am trying to use but will not "connect".
I have tried to use 2 devices both of which work correctly with my old Nokia, one being a Nokia Bluetooth handsfree and the other being a Parrot Bluetooth in car hands free kit.
When trying to connect the devices the XDA states "there are no useable services on the devices I am trying to connect"
Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong ?
I had the same thing with my BT GPS unit. I found a soft reset fixed it.
Make sure the BT device is on before pairing.

Reliable BlueAngel bluetooth?

I have a BlueAngel / SX66 on Cingular. I have been through every ROM upgrade you can imagine, all with the hopes that SOME DAY the bluetooth will work properly. More specifically, I have a stick BMW and it's impossible for me to talk on this thing and drive at the same time, not to mention really unsafe, but I absolutely need to talk in the car because I'm on the move a lot. There is a bluetooth headset interface in the car that I know is pretty damn good because it works so beautifully with Motorola devices (specifically the somewhat ancient V600 I have). My SX66 can barely get through 3 seconds of being connected to it before it just goes haywire and drops the connection, locks up my stereo, etc. It's a disaster. So every time a new ROM comes out I sit for hours upgrading just hoping that maybe this time it will work. I've tried a Motorola HS810, HS850, a Logitech Mobile Freedom, a Jabra BT800, and an Ericsson HBH600. Not one of them can consistently hold a connection without it dropping here and there and me having to go to the Bluetooth manager and "reconnect". These are all reputable headsets that work flawlessly with other devices.
Conclusion: The MS bluetooth stack is pathetic.
Problem: I want my SX66 to work with JUST ONE bluetooth device flawlessly. It doesn't need to be the car necessarily, but that would be really sweet if it did. I have recently upgraded to WM5 in another feeble attempt, but alas WM5 doesn't appear to be compatible with GoodLink, the messaging sync software that I'm tied to that makes me use this god awful device (I won't use a Treo because the Palm UI is garbage and it has its own host of problems I've seen). I'm going to have to downgrade back to 1.40 to get GoodLink to work again because its pretty vital to me.
Question: Does anyone know how to get Bluetooth to work consistently with any headset, paired with an SX66? I seriously have sank like $400 just in headsets trying to get this piece of crap to work. If there are any stack upgrades, firmware flashes, etc. WHATEVER I'm willing to try anything. This is the only Windows based device available on the market that is compatible with GoodLink and has a qwerty keyboard that's easy to use.
FYI, the BA uses the Broadcom/Widcomm BT stack, unless you've upgraded it to WM5.

Widcomm+BT GPS+A2DP equal weird problem

Hello,
I'm new here, but I recently got a Axim X51v. I decided to immediately (after playing around with it for a while) to flash it to the WM6 Football ROM. It works well and so far that part I haven't found any problems with.
Everyone recommends the Widcomm BT Stack so I installed it and have very odd results. With Widcomm I am able to use A2DP well and the pairing and setup is easy and great. Somehow it cripples my ability to use my BT GPS Receiver (Holux 236). TomTom 6 will not detect the GPS signal at all, but the GPS reciever is paired and everything.
If I don't use Widcomm then A2DP does not work. I use a pair of Kyocera BT headphones and it will pair with the normal BT setup and it is recognized as a headset. When I try to use it with Windows Media I will hear the first second and then nothing. The player continues to play, but I just hear dead air. The GPS receiver works well when Widcomm isn't installed. It automatically detects it and TomTom gets the signal to work.
I really like the Widcomm BT Stack, but I kind of need the GPS. I've read some articles on different setups, but I can't find many on GPS problems and if I find some they don't have any answers. If you have any advice on what I could then please post. From my search I haven't found anything here either, but if I'm wrong then please point me to the right direction.

XDA Orbit 2, TomTom and Bluetooth

Hi,
I have the following problem:
I am using XDA Orbit 2 and a car-radio Maqma MQ-106BT. This radio offers Bluetooth-connection to my XDA. It supports the BT-headset (A2DP) and the handsfree profiles.
After pairing the car-radio is shown with both active profiles in the settings-screen of the XDA.
I want the car-radio to play the radio program and to give the TomTom-voice using the car-speakers. The system works very well for the phonefunktion. But if I start TomTom the radio sound stops and only the voice of TomTom is to be heard but nothing between the TomTom comments. It seems, as if TomTom uses the BT-headset Profile and thus the radio is always waiting for sound from the XDA.
Are there XDA-settings which would help me or is there a possibility to force TomTom to use the handsfree profile, thus only muting the radio if there are comments from the navigation?
I hope here are some experts who are able to help me!
Best regards from Luebeck
Micha
Hi,
I can't believe it: Not even one answer?
Is it really such a special task? I have thought that here in this forum there are only XDA-specialists???
Please, if there is someone who has an idea, please help!!!
Regards
Micha
Bump, I have a similar question in the Athena forum. Best guess I have is to mess with the registry to force the tomtom commands to not go through A2DP, but through HCP (phone signal) - that way priority is assured, but you may have to physically hang up the signal to get back to radio. At least the signal would start automatically....
As far as i know to allow the radio to be played in between tomtom voice commands you would need a fixed wired connection and also a car radio system that allows line in input to be switched on and off. The problem isnt the PDA the problem is the radio system in the car.

i have the same issue with the tytn2, i cant get my tomtom sound over my radio.
I'd appreciate it if anyone could help!
fwiw, I am still searching the forum for a solution. I have found some old bluetooth posts, that may hold the key:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=281977
in particular, message #2 of thread, concerning BTAudioNav hack:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1046077&postcount=2
Some of this info is dated, so I haven't tried anything yet, and as the posts indicate, it takes 2 to tango. The WM6 device may be doing everything right, but the equipment you are pairing to may not be able to be configured correctly....
Update, BTAudioNav is not working, I assume that it is for PocketPC and I am running WM6
?!? Tomtom commands
[email protected]
I have the same problem.
Phone: HTC tytn2
Bury Wired Handfree
Perfect Sound Quality for Calls but: No system Sound, no TomTom Sound.
Yesterday i drive on the Highway, Tomtom was on and a call was incoming but the tytn2 was rebooting by him self .... AND NOW IT WORKS !
I hear all tomtom commands! I don't no why but it works!!!
Update, it seems that tomtom goes over the a2dp signal and not the handsfree profile.
If it was handsfree profile, it would cut into the car stereo music. A2dp doesn't have priority though with most car stereos.
Had I known this, I wouldn't of purchased tomtom....

VM6.1 with VW handsfree

Hello to you all!
I have issues with my phone and built-in handsfree in my VW (as tons of people!!!). Let me explain the nature of problems and describe hardware.
1. Samsung Omnia SGH-i900 running on WM6.1, version DZIA5. Installed rSAP, A2DP and JetWARE.
2. VW Passat 2006, Premium handsfree installed. Runs on Nokia HT-2, SW:2109, HW: 008, built 06/06.
I paired these two no problems. Worked without any delay and difficulties. BUT only if I turn Omnia ON WITH bluetooth activated!!! So, I turn Omnia bluetooth ON, restart the phone and it works perfectly!!! It doesn't matter, if I turn car ignition off and on again, phone and handsfree will connect and work seamlessly. Until I turn Omnia bluetooth OFF and on again. Then nothing helps. Impossible to connect again, no matter what I do. UNTIL I restart Omnia with bluetooth activated, which makes it work again normally.
I figure it's something wrong with my phone, or better with WM, since I flashed it three times (Manila 2D, DXIA5, DZIA5) and didn't work before (true, I had no rSAP installed on Manila).
So, it works but doesn't solve problem. I heard somewhere, that touchscreens on Omnia are messing something up, but don't know what or if it's true.
Any suggestions, tricks, registry tweaks, programs to install...
Take care!
Nothing?
Many of you people employed in or related to companies mentioned above, don't know anything? Corporate controled conformism, I'm afraid!
Thanks anyway and take care!!!
G.
