HTC S620-Excalibur Service Manual - HTC Excalibur

Hi guys!!!
If somebody need the manual this is the link
http://www.mydatabus.com/public/neto555/Excalibur__Service_manualA01_0928.pdf

Nice one , could come in very handy.
Thanks

Anyone got any idea why there is a GPS test method listed on page 39 ?
Is there on-board GPS in here somewhere ?

or how about a copy of that diagnostic file (excaimg.nbh)?

Great Job!!
This is something everyone needs to have in their arsenal, if they own the excalibur.
Even if you don't feel comfortable taking the phone apart yourself to repair it, this gives you some added knowledge of how your phone is built and is put together, so you can at least use this as a reference for diagnostics and testing.
Great idea posting this Tracker00!!!! RIGHT ON!!!!

Excalibur Service Manual
Hi:
Try the undermentioned web address. There are listings for a lot of HTC devices, including the S620/1.
http://www.mikechannon.net

Hrm, the link works, but the link on that page to actually download the file give a PHP error.

fustigate:
Are you referring to the link in my post (#12)? If so, I just checked it and was able to download the service manual without problem.

Seeking xda2unlock source file

Hi all,
I am looking for the source files for the xda2unlock.exe tool. In the thread about this subject, the link does no longer work...
I want to upgrade this program for use for the BlueAngel (xdaIIs/xdaIIi/MDAIII/PDA2K/ etc).
If anyone can tell me where to find it, or if you have it on your harddrive somewhere, please PM me!
Thanks in advance.
Hey HappyGoat,
I've been looking for the source too. I found the source for a tool called xda2unlockcode, but I'm not sure if this is related to xda2unlock or if it's an older version or something. I don't have a Himalaya anymore so I haven't even tested it. It's on itsme's website if you want to take a look:
http://nah6.com/~itsme/cvs-xdadevtools/itsutils/xda2dmp/
He's actually got some other useful tools in there too such as a perl script to decode the BlueAngel radio ROM:
http://nah6.com/~itsme/cvs-xdadevtools/xda2nbftool/decoderadio.pl
If anyone can figure out how to crack the BA unlock mystery I reckon it's "itsme". Maybe he's already working on a tool, who knows?!
-no1
Nice work, No1...you do your name justice...
Thanks for the reply...and I agree, if anyone can do it easily, it's itsme...will send him an email and see if he has time or can help me.
Cheers,
HappyGoat

**Android On The Dash** Is Partly Working, But We Still Need Drivers

Okay so me and a few helpful people from the #htc-linux and #linwizard channels on freenode have built a version of linwizards kernel for the wizard to run on the excalibur! At first we had no framebuffer so no screen at all but thanks to tmzt, the framebuffer is fixed. Also myself, tmzt, and ali1234 made a (semi) working keymap. All the buttons work just a few tweaks need to be made.
**UPDATE**Thanks to some brilliant work by starwarrior we now can load android and play with it, the phone functions do not currently work, more details on post 76. Have fun.
I have included all you need to run the linwizard kernel on your excalibur. It is as safe as a soft reset; nothing permanant is done to your phone. You will have to remove the battery to reboot and get back to your normal windows enviroment.
Currently there is no support for the following and are a work in progress:
X
Sd card access
GSM usage (calls, sms, gprs)
Anyone with this type of experience or anyone who wants to help at all please email me at gentoon at gmail dot com.
Thanks to everyone working on the linwizard project and everyone who has helped do far.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/gfme0e
To run all you have to do is extract run the haret executible and click run. You will see some text letting yo know its loading the kernel, then some garbae as the framebuffer adjusts... then a login screen just enter root and nothing for the password field. Then there you go a working linux enviroment!
I know little to nothing about Linux but I am always up for something new. I have a "spare" Excalibur- and in another week I will have 2 spares so if you need anything specific tested let me know
Ummm so do you have the program available or no...

I was just going to say that... Mediafire is amazing...
sorry about that forgot how long uploading over a gprs can take, im visiting family and have no pc, so i have been doing everything over my dash. I added a link to the first post.
Okay operamini doesnt want to let me edit my post so sorry about the double post, here is the link:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/gfme0e
also you wil probably have to do a soft reset right before you run haret to avoid it freezing. Have fun.
Is it possible to see a screenshot of what it looks like on the excalibur.
Thanks
IDK for some reason I am hesitant to try this...
The main project is located at http://linwizard.sourceforge.net you can see some screenshots there of it working on the wizard. Of course our port doesnt support everything they have working on the wizard yet, but with some moe help we could.

Well do you know anything about linux? I can get the kernel source uploaded. We need a better keymap first of all( we need \ mapped, also control and esc are mapped but dont seem to be working), then someone who knows something about X, it would be nice to have a GUI. Right now I would just like some people to test it on their excaliburs. Also all of the credit for the original kernel goes to the linwizard project. So thanks guys.
Hi,
Here are the patched files for Excalibur. Remove the .txt extension and copy them over the corresponding files in linwizard kernel tree.
Im going to be adding a detailed to do list on the main page. Once i get some real developers rounded up we are going to make this an official project on sf.
hey..i have seen this day in my dreams..lol
anyways i have ubuntu on of my pc's and love it...so i don't know too much about linux but i would definitely be willing to help!
dope biz...ill start looking into porting a keymap

[Q] Someone upload ICS stock rom official

Okay so I tried the one in the development center downloading the new official stock rom, but I couldn't download it because i really dont know if its my computer or something is just not popping out its the russian language.
Can someone upload their update.zip that was downloaded from that section? Thank you so much.
Just follow the link. On the page enter the numbers in the box and click on the green button. You will be redirected and if the download doesn't start automatically click on the underlined link on that page.
Edit: Another link if you still can't download from the original one Acer_AV041_A100_1.014.00_WW_GEN1.zip
md5sum:179415e21863f4791966049e74adaa76
Can someone upload it into another site like mediafire because when i start downloading update.zip from that Russian link the DL speed is very slow, but when i checked on my internet speed there's no problem with it, its 3mbs btw....
After putting in the code another page will come up and you will have to uncheck the box before downloading... found that tid bit of info in another post somewhere on here... Good luck!
Worked fine for me this morning with Google translate. Downloaded in five minutes. And if it takes half an hour, what's the problem?
The russian site worked fine for me, took about 45 minutes. No big deal.
I cannot download from Russian site... because of firewall or network?
I decrypted the OTA and posted here. Let me know if the mirror link doesnt work. My dropbox is being stupid and keeps saying its generating too much traffic so its disabled. So stupid.

@zleto - Your mirror worked for me and install was successful over the leaked "Acer_AV041_A100_1.012.00_WW_GEN1.zip".
The following one by aznmode didn't work for me:

I searched for ages to find another link for Acer_AV041_A100_1.014.00_WW_GEN1.zip and the only one I could find was here:
http://acer-club.ru/topic/17462-rom-acer-a100-101400-ww-gen1/
And click on "Download to acer-club.ru". Google translate might help with the page. Direct link to that is: http://download.acer-club.ru/uploads/files/OS/A100/Acer_A100_AV041_1.014.00_COM_GEN1.rar
Hope that helps someone else out.

xda article leads to virus?

Hello I just checked some one click root apps from here https://www.xda-developers.com/best-one-click-root-2018/
but the Root Master page that is linked, while it seems legit and all it downloaded an app that is in Chinese or something that looked different than the screenshots. Something that I noticed later.
I tried to use it but the chinese didn't helped match.
Now I'm a bit scared that maybe this app did something malicious to my phone because it wanted permission to write in SD.
Am I just paranoid? Can anyone confirm about this app?
The link is in the original XDA link above.

I don't use the Root Master myself and I had went to check out the article you referenced.
I selected the Root Master website and it looked like I was taken to the appropriate website that was all in English for myself.
I them selected the download link from step 1 on the instructions and it downloaded the app.
I then took a quick look into the apk file and did not notice anything out of the ordinary myself.
I'm not stating that you didn't experience what you had expressed but, I'm just providing you with what I had found.
To hopefully help you out, here's the links I was taken to so you can see/compare with what you had experienced.
This is the Root Master Link...
https://rootmaster.co/
... this is the apk download link from Step 1 in the Root Master guide.
https://rootmaster.co/download/com.rootmaster.apk
I hope that this helps you out and I can only assume that you may have accidentally hit an ad or something.
I do wish you the best of luck!

I get a file called "com.rootmaster.apk." Seems about right. Must have been an ad or popup you got?

it's happened to me before...
I go to select a link and, out of nowhere, an ad sneaks in and I just start over again.
Looks like "The Case of the Redirected Redirect" has been solved... LMAO!

Everything seems legit till the time I run the apk, the page seems fine, the download seems to have to name that the download link says, but the reported apk size is 4MB and the downloaded one is around 2,5MB.
The problem is inside, the app have some short of cartoon characters and everything is in Chinese.
I will check back today if indeed I was redirected to some shady download with the same name.
I run a check with AVG after that incident but didn't found anything.
